I agree. Homestar Runner is a site for all ages. TBC wouldn't be making references to sexual activities.

But as I have an appetite for painted toast, I think giving Strong Sad a blog makes him seem so much more "real." All the other emo kids have blogs; it makes sense that Strong Sad would have one, too.

"Low-Brow and No-Brow" made me laugh. And the last paragraph--that is pure Strong Sad right there.

Fortunatly, unlike most emo kid blogs I've seen, Strong Sad is emo in an intelligent way. He doesn't put things like "LIF SUX BCUZ EYE DINDT GAT INVYTED 2 TEH KEWL PIRSUN PARTI WOE IZ MEEE!!!!!" in it.

(Sorry for the all caps and bad spelling. I'll replace any brain cells it may have caused you to lose. ;) )

All caps is better than no caps in my opinion. At least all caps can be translated to shouting. What is no caps? ...mumbling?

Err, anyway. Yeah, Strong Sad is a pretty smart guy, which makes his emoness tolerable. He's smart enough to realise that life is unfair. Rather than whining about it (or what I'd consider whining, anyway), he simply focuses on it. Too much, though. He needs to stop contemplating dairy and take a look at life, and see that, hey, it isn't that bad!

But knowing Strong Sad, taking a good look at life would probably just depress him even more. Poor guy. He's his own enemy.

Yeah. Strong Sad wouldn't think so badly about life if he had something to live for, and he wouldn't be so down on himself if he had someone around to give him a confidence boost. What would do both of those things is a friend. Even though Homsar seems to be his friend, he's not really someone you can turn to if you're looking for an intelligent conversation. Marizpan is nice to him, but sadly, I think it's out of pity.

Oh well, he might not be aware of it, but there's someone in the world who loves him. :) (And I don't mean it in that way, all you Dirty McNastys!)

I sure hope they keep it on as the easter egg of the Mid-Week update. Quote of the Week, Weekly Fanstuff, Sketchbook, and Strong Sad's Lament. It's got a nice ring to it.

Yeah, I like the middle of the week update.

It's a decent change from only Monday (and sometimes Friday) updates.

I agree, at least for a while, as it's not hard to do. Sadly, it could get old pretty fast, I think that's why they take breaks.

Hmm... Is Strong Mad really low-brow? Heh. That made me laugh out so hard. I think there should be some more of those entries which show his relationships with other characters other than SB and SM, though.

They may have not meant strong sad had that kind of wet nap, but they were obviously referring to it.

I mean come on, you don't just write things like "wet nap" on your website by coincidence, especially when the word "peeps" is right after it. XD

Plus, I highly doubt any young kids even know SS' journal exists.

Another New one: Working for the Weak-End?

Figured I'd meantion it here, since the Wiki's out of commision.

New Avatar and quote too: "Sweetheart, you can't buy the necessities of life with cookies."

current mood: stereotyped and classified
current tunes: Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing

What's so great about Fridays anyway? Everyone gets so jazzed about Fridays and weekends. Well, I get jazzed about Tuesdays at 3:02, both a.m. and p.m. More like, TGITATOT, I say. Thank God It's Tuesday at Three-Oh-Two. I usually just take a sip of lukewarm water and let loose for a few seconds. Speaking of which, how good is lukewarm water? It doesn't get the attention it deserves as a beverage. To expertly prepare a glass of lukewarm water, put a cup of water in the microwave for 19 seconds, then let it cool for about 3 minutes. If you start at 2:58, it should be perfect right about 3:02. For best results, finish before 3:16. After that, the "luke" is lost and it's just warm water. Gross!

I've been staring at the screen for over 6 hours since I typed that last line up there. Just trying to think of something to type. And then I thought of writing about how long I had been staring at the screen. I counted all the pixels on my monitor. 1280 by 1024 is correct. At first I thought it was off by 9 pixels, but when I recounted they were all there. All 1310720 of 'em.

I liked it. Expecially the whole pixel counting part. He really does have no life.

And HomestarRunner.com almost never fails to update when the wiki is down, huh?

Did anyone catch the Bible reference?

Don't go past 3:16, meaning the famous Bible verse John 3:16, and the gospel of John comes directly after the gospel of Luke, and lukewarm... yeah.

I don't know why, but I found this little bit absolutely hilatious. It's so, umm...Strong Sad-esque.

The avatar is Richard Moll from Night Court (he played Nostradamus "Bull" Shannon).

Google Images even has the exact picture on the front page of results.

And the quote is from Edward Scissorhands. (Bill's line).

Just hoping to save a little legwork for whoever when the wiki is ready to be edited.

Hmmm... Could the '3:16' supposed to be the biblical referance? The book of John DOES come right after the book of Luke, and John 3:16 IS a well known scripture:

"This means everlasting life, they're taking in knowledge of you, the only true god, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ"

(It's often held up on signs at sporting events and whatnot).

But I don't know if it just totally fits. Maybe if they'd said 'When you hit 3:16 you've gone past Luke' or something. But I suppose it could be. I'm surprised they didn't stick a pi referance somewhere in all those numbers, like 3:14 or something.

(Thanks Joshua, leave it to the guy with the biblical name to spot that one)

I dunno if I'd describe a reference to "3:16" as a certifiably biblical reference. Yes, it does originally refer to the Bible, but it's been somewhat disconnected from that with its absorbtion into pop culture (e.g. all those fans of popular wrestle-man Steve Austin holding "Austin 3:16" signs)

I know, there's the lukewarm thing and all, but it is kind of a stretch

Um... John 3:16 is "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus], that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." I quoted that from memory...

Anyway, I don't think its the context of the scripture thats relevant to the entry, just the fact that its a famous verse in the chapter that, if you reach it looking for the chapter of Luke, you've gone too far.

And he does mention God earlier in the same entry (although I think that's just a coincidence.)

Actually mine is also correct. It's the same basic message, just a different bible translation. The only way for both of us to definently come to the same wording would be if we both read Hebrew. (And I quoted mine from memory as well)

If we were to believe Strong Sad when he wrote that he actually counted all 1,310,720 pixels (twice), that works out to nearly 120 pixels counted per second. I know he said over six hours, but even if one rounds it to seven, he's still counting over 100 pixels a second. But for all we know he's using some sort of measuring device.[/quote]

He could have just counted one row and one column of pixels and multiplied.

I don't think so--not if he was off by only 9 pixels at the end of his first count.
