It was ok. The only funny (and not lame) part was when the cheat threw the cd case at Homestar.

And I thought Coach Z could not get much weirder...

Okay e-mail. 6.5/10 maybe.

Blimey, that was the worst email I've seen in a while.

Dissapointing.

Meh, not bad. Better than Rock Opera, that's for sure, but not really on par with the likes of Bottom 10.

Oh, and RyanSturmer? Why don't you just take a screen shot? If you have a PC, just press PrtSc while the email is onscreen. There's a method for doing it on a Mac too, but I forget what it is.

It's not foolproof, I know, but honestly, why would you go to all that trouble just to make us think you wrote the email if it wasn't true? :p

I dont know if anyone caught this, but the grilled cheese is a reference to the opening of Napoleon Dynamite, check out the intro of ND to confirm this

Not the best email, considering they're getting to be a lot more scarce in updating lately. But it wasn't a total loss. I loved Homestar's appearance most of all and the grilled cheese was funny (that's the magic of randomly generated humor). :p
Best Parts: "Strong Badian Administration of Some Aluminum Foil", the Space Captainface costume, random laser/explosion sounds followed by the case throw at Homestar's head.
6/10

Yeah, definitly not the best e-mail ever - in fact, I would say one of the worst - but that is just my opinion.

I personally think that HSR was at it's prime a few months back, and lately they have been untrue to the characters personas - Example: Strong bad would have normaly went on a rant about the way he signed the e-mail, but not this time. He barely said anything about it at all!

Also, does anyone know of a way (other than taking a screen shot), for him to prove he sent the e-mail? I can't think of any easy way - other than seeing server log files.

For whatever reason, it seems like I'm in the minority of people that liked this email.
I will admit, though, it turned out a lot different than I thought it would. I was expecting to see the Cheat wrapped in Aluminum foil being thrown into the air by Strong Mad, then having his head explode with either Strong Mad or Strong Bad saying "Strongbadia, we have a problem"..
Still, this was kinda funny.
Not the best, but far from the worst.

[ramble]-Maybe it'll get better on subsequent viewings, but at the moment, this email was majorly disappointing.

-Geez, are they *trying* to make Coach Z as unlikable as possible?

-The part with Strong Mad was the highlight of the email.[/ramble]

This e-mail was pretty good for a lappy e-mail. It wasn;t really that funny until the end but it doesn't matter, "I knew I should'va asked the italian space program" in it's self is a good reason to watch this.

Funniest easter eggs in a Lappy e-mail thus far.

ok... that was horrible. The slide show thingy almost put me to sleep. The end part was kinda funny, but not really.

I gives it a nine out of eleven.

Okay, um, how do I say "New favorite Email!"?

"New favorite email!"

That worked.

Anywho, this was awesome.

Best parts:
Item 3b: Grilled Cheese
:kot: I'm in my sixties!
:hr: I should've went to the Italian space program!
The Cheat doing all the gunshots with sound effects, then throwing the CD at Homestar.
"Why are you not smoking a cigarette?" (I'm afraid people are gonna say 'OMG edgy!)

I guess this was one o' dems niche emails, if you're not into the sorta shows they're ripping off (Star Trek et al) then you're just not gonna find it funny.

But for those of us who do watch them - oh yeah!

AnD D00d, t3h ciGARe773 15 so0 edj33, I... Oh wait, the act like a n00b thread is over there, never mind.

Not the best email I've ever seen, I thought SB playing in the cardboard rocket ship was cute. There were some good points:

1. Grilled cheese sammitch.

2. The "How Come?" Basset Hound--so cute.

3. Homestar trying to put on a sweater. The icing on the cake was that the sweater had sleeves.

4. Finally, usage of the KOT! :kot: Would have thought that he would have been long past his sixties, though.

5. Coach Z never fails to amuse me, his easter egg made me laugh out loud. Poor guy just wanted to be among the hot 60's-looking girls.

It's official, Coach Z is now weirder than he was at the end of Garage Sale.

Not that there's a problem with that.

I liked this e-mail. The bassat hound was adorable, and Strong Mad's reaction was priceless.

It was ok. I liked their spaceship, and the sound effects CD.
8/10.

And Ryan, that's cool. You sent the email. Howcome they took out parts of it? Thats odd.

Count me in the minority of likers, as well. I thought the Sound Effects CD was awesome along with the cheap rocket ship. It isn't the best email to grace Homestar Runner, but it's still too good to not be credited.

7/10

I read that as "How come they took the pants out of it?" which was indeed vaguely relevant, and indeed, odd.

Though note the commentary for that one:
Matt wrote:
Mike wrote out this email [...] in parentheses underneath the email said, "Maybe could be edited," as a note to me saying hey, maybe we could cut this email a little shorter.
So I think this isn't that rare.

I adored this one, possibly one of my favourites. Also, Sirencio from the Livejournal H*R group suggested that Proud Anselmo is in fact taken from a Jewish song. I'd have put it in the Wiki, but I don't know what the current situation is for unregistered folks, and anyway I'm lazy

I'm going to say that this is by far the worst email of the Lappy era thus far. The only mildly amusing part was the Coach Z easter egg. If that wasn't there, I probably would have given this one a zero.

0.5/5

It was good. My favorite part was when The Cheat "hit" Homestar with all those sound FX, then threw the CD case at him.

:hr: Ah! I knew I should've asked the Italian Space Program!

Yeah, I thought the slideshow was boring, but everything else brought it back from being crappy.

Italian Space Program: Pure Genius

Anyways... about a 3/5. Could've been better with something other than the slide show. Like... some sort of monolouge about the spacecraft's speculations with crappy special effects. Like the camera moving so it'd look like it was moving instead. That would've been better.
