I dunno. I mean it was funny I guess, but after the long layoff I don't think anything could really make up for it. Except maybe an e-mail with Strongbads parents or something. So I guess it wasn't the e-mails fault, more the layoffs.

Since Windee took Baby Coach Z, I am so adopting Baby Pom Pom. He's so adorable!

And hey ho! It reminds me a lot of the "Next time period" poll in the--Toons forum, I believe.

I predicted Homestar Babies in that thread! As well as Homestar Seniors!

I can't get it to load... and when I go to the SWF file I just get 404'd... they must have taken it down to fix something?

What would there be to fix? I think it's just the PQP all over again.

NEW STRONG BAD E-MAIL!
NOTHING ELSE!
Heh, anyone catch that? I don't think that'll last long.

Anyhow:
What is this beast?

A coherent... funny... sbemail? In the LAPPY ERA? He didn't even go on random tangents about bran muffins or crap like that! PErfectly logical order: High school, middle school, babies, .... paramenciums ("It's for my twin brother!" "AAAHHHH!" - genius right there, instead of the dumb random crap of late), and of course romans.

Whatever the TBC were doing, they should do it more often.
Um, or not.
Best of the Lappy era, no question.

E: Yes, it's having trouble loading. And sb's lappy has no e-mails on it, and crashes your browser if you try random.
Things are going to happen.

Well, this email finally forces me to believe that Strong Bad was probably lying in flashback, considering that babies go to middle school and people live in petri dishes before middle school. Other than that, since I don't like Scooby Doo, I felt the same way I did when watching best thing when watching the high school segment, "Get... me... away... from... here." But I liked the petri dish one, not only because I actually understood the facts (thank you Biology! Recognized Strongbadiophage as a bacteriophage already!), but because of the replicating Homestarmecium. And I liked the Roman thing, since one of the new time periods I wanted for Homestar Runner was Ancient Rome, even though it was Old Timey in the Easter Egg. Oh well, they were overdue for an appearance anyway.

Until then, you'll probably see me posting here when the next toon/email's released.

On the "Mysfit-steries" title screen young Strong Mad's Fist is between young Marzipan's legs, perhaps they're fixing that.

Edit: also the new sbemail menu seems to have no entries.

Did anybody mirror sbemail140? It appears that it's been taken down from the site. Sigh.

I first attempted to watch the email circa 12:45AM Easter early Monday morning. In Firefox, the page loaded quickly (sbemail140.html), but the area where the cartoon should have been was a bleak, barren white rectangle. Attempting to load the .swf file directly got me 404'd, but I checked the page source and it was definitely pointing at "sbemail140.swf", a file that seemed not to be there.
So, I loaded up Internet Exploder to see if Satan could do any better. Unlike Firefox, IE didn't load the .html page at all, but sat and said it was loading for a few hours. I've checked my connection and tried several times. Like Firefox, pointing IE at the .swf file got me 404'd. I had a mate in a different house with a different ISP in a different city try the same thing (minus Firefox; he sleeps with Cthulhu), and he got the same results. There's no doubt about it. The flash file, and nothing else, has been taken down for some reason. Does anybody have a mirror, or a saved version, or a cacheed version, or one channelled mysteriously from a Boston-area psychic with eczema? If so, post it, or at least email it to me. I'm going through withdrawal here.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS -- go, check the site, see if you can get hold of this. If you can, and there's no reply here saying that it's back up, grab a copy of the flash file and then post here and say you got one. Either it's back up on the site, and you get to break the news, or your computer just got lucky as hell and some error (or Boston psychic with bad skin) just gave you a freebie. In which case, share.

Cheers,
CM presents CM

MIRROR'd!

For those people having difficulties accessing sbemail140 at homestarrunner.com, try this address instead!

NB: I do not intend to keep this link alive more than a couple days. Just figured I'd offer it until people saw the cartoon and went on their merry ways. :)

Here's a temporary mirror:

I'll dump it when everyone confirms its back... and then I remember to remove it.

EDIT: I guess I was beaten to it, I'll leave mine up though because akdb8r has it on a uni site whereas mine's on imageshack.

well aside from th fact that i am really glad there is at least SOMETHING this was not fantastic. yeah it was quite funny, don't get me wrong eh, i dont think its crap or anything. i, for one, am a person who prefers more really random things just put in for no reason. more of that! still, it was pretty good. hope things stay on track from now on. and by the way, i think baby 'daipersmith' is cute!

6/10

Didn't get fixed.

Evidence of this:

Oh man. BEST EMAIL EVER.

I loved the Scooby Doo thing. HOMESTAR ACTUALLY WORE PANTS!!!

The Babies are quite possibly the funniest/"AWW"-ing capable things ever. I love how Baby Coach Z speaks, and how Strong Bad says "Freakin!".

And the rest of it! Man, this is perfect.

Are you implying that Homestar doesn't wear pants?

Well, that's simply not true. He has long pants, he wears long pants. He's a long pants man, long pants, long pants!

Yeah, I think the entire idea of him wearing "pants that are his exact skin color" is ridiculous.
