Do you think the brothers chaps are going to come out with anything in reference to the elections? They don't have to be related to Bush and Kerry - Strongbadia elections? KOT fixing ballots? Anything?

I really hope TBC wouldn't resort to that.

They won't. They almost never, ever make reference to current events.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you guys too. An election cartoon would more than likely not happen because it's just not what TBC do.

Maybe they'd make something like a "VOTE OR GET KICKED IN THE HEAD BY STRONG BAD" thing, or some type of "Get out and vote" banner/cartoon. Maybe a menu with a ballot thing of some weird election?

They could do the previously mentioned Homsar/Cardgage election.

I don't want that! We may find out the Brothers Chap support the American Nazi Party, and I'd prefer to be ignorant of that. Though they did have Pom-Pom dress as Micheal Moore...is that a compliment or not?

I could maybe see them making a banner or something like that for some-one, but nothing else really.

I, for one, would like to see something about elections/ politics.

I have faith that it would be funny and I would laugh 4 or so times.

TBC would never do this. As IJ said, they rarely if ever make references to current events, and they'd never make a whole cartoon explicitly about it.

Yeah, but Nov second is more like "voting day" than anything in particular: it's not about *this* election.

I think that they could have a good voting day cartoon (or just a reference) in the same way they put their own twist on Thanksgiving and Christmas (and, of course, the up coming Halloween). It wouldn't have to have anything to do with what's happening now...

Maybe if it was President of Strong Badia or something.. but it just wouldn't feel right.

As someone pointed out in the Halloween predictions thread, it would be neat if one of the characters dressed up as someone in the upcoming elections. I can't really see TBC making a separate toon concerning the elections, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they make some kind of reference to it.

Like Hysterical said, Pom Pom did dress as Micheal Moore during a halloween episode.

I wouldn't think they'd want to make their political views about this election known, especially in a cartoon read by gazillions of people throughout the world.

True, but Michael Moore isn't connected with the elections in the sense that he's actually running for office. I was thinking more along the lines of someone dressing up as one of the actual candidates. Not that it really matters. I doubt TBC will even reference the elections.

Well, there are rumours that The Brothers Chaps have made a reference to John Kerry (namely, Where The Crap Are We?), but that wasn't something from the site. I don't think TBC want political elements on the actual HSR site... perhaps that's why Where The Crap Are We is so well-hidden. Then again, the reference in WTCAW isn't even really that solid. In closing, TBC will probably not make an Election Day cartoon.

What was the Kerry reference? I don't remember one.

Are you talking about the Twinkie Phone? If you are, I don't see ANY reference to John Kerry in that. (other than the fact that he lives in Massachusetts)

I think most everyone can agree that, if the Senator stuff in Where the Crap Are We? is actually a political reference, it's so obscenely vague that nobody could ever truly say it really was a reference at all.

Plus, as it has been noted, political references just aren't TBC's style, unless we're referring to really old political references (Boss Tweed from the video for The Ballad of the Sneak, for example, or the in-joke that is Martin Van Buren).

Good for you, but that's a post more for the Religion and Politics forum.

There is no way a election toon would come.
None. Nada. Negative. DELETED!
However, I like the idea of it.

If it's been more than a month (or even two weeks) since the last post, don't post. Anyway, if it's December and they still haven't done an election cartoon, you don't need to point out that they won't. We already know the answer.
