The remix and the easter eggs were awesome. One of the best Answering Machines!

I enjoyed Homestar on the banana, and the Cheat's remix of the KOT's catchy song. That maybe the first funny thing that Kingy has done in 5 years.

Until StrongBad's prank call, I was unimpressed, but his message was so great that this is probably the second-best answering machine ever.

Huzah! Thirteen of ten stars! And a can of catgut!

I was about to send in an sbemail asking for a "The Making of" for Answering Machine Prank Calls, but it'll have to wait now, I guess.

Hullo everybody! Long time hrwiki-browser, first-time forum writer. Thought I'd jump into the pool hip deep...

Anyhoo...Pretty solid Answering Machine. Its sad to know that its such an under-appreciated part of the website. A whole slew of exemplary quotes come from it. I cannot easily concur with the notion that it is the best, mind you. I personally thought the one where Strong Bad was attempting to tutor Homestar in the art of prank calling (number 10.2) was the best so far. Nonetheless, a solid "B-" Answering Machine.

Rating Breakdown:
:hr: : A (Homestar has always been the most quotable in the answering machines)

:kot: : B- ("Not talking about butter" is perhaps the best opening line in a while)

Sir Strong Bad: C- (Old-timey references were overdone here)

:cheat: : B+ (Exceptional remix)

The Homestar Runner: C (Same with Sir SB, but he was slightly funnier)

:sb: : C- (Very dissapointed here, he's usually a lot more clever)

Oh. Wow. This, was by far, one of the best answering machines TBC have done in a while. I thought the Cheat one was just going to be him squeaking, but then they throw in an awsome remix! Score!

Woot/10

Pretty good! I didn't like SB's message that much, though. Nor Sir SB's, though his was OK. But, the others were really good, so all in all, a good AM.

Meh. The only good part was the remix. I cracked up when it burst out in techno with the KOT.

I guess this means that 2 people like the king of town now. Do people still hate him?

Man, I have been jonesin' for more old-timey for ages. Nothing gets the brain juice going quite like it! But it's not exactly clear what the telegrammaphone does, is it? I mean, where was the Walter Winchell-esque clackety-clack-clack? Best answering machine in like, months! I really dig them--way underrated.

Three plus three!

Man, that song is mad crazy hip! It's the perfect dance song--funky beat coupled with utterly nonsensical lyrics. Easily the best thing to come out of this MAM, but Homestar's "text message" was comedically brilliant. I was unimpressed by SB's prank, though.

I totally have a new location: "G-E-T-T-I-N-G, spacebar, E-G-G-S, spacebar, BACKspacebar, comma, spacebar, M-I-L-K, question mark?"

This was a pretty good Machine. The KOT remix was great. The only thing is that after the first message, all I kept thinking about was that song "Banana Phone".

I haven't read any of the other posts on this thread; I've just registered specially to say that this is one of the funniest updates in a long time. I haven't laughed this much since cool tapes.

What do we reckon to the likelihood of the KoT remix appearing as the next QotD?

Hey, did anyone think that KOT's voice and the homestar runner sounded a little off? But this is still awesome.

EDIT:OMG 400 posts. Cool.

I loved it. I must have listened to the KOT's remix at least 15 times in a row. And SB's part was coolness in a can. Definitely a great MAM.

I noticed that about The Homestar Runner as well. Probally because we're used to seeing as well as hearing him, sorta like when a friend calls you for the first time and you don't recognise them.

And the Answering Machine was great. I liked the remix and the text message, along with the fact that the banana actually worked as a phone. I also liked the Old-Timey messages, but Strong Bad was a bit dissapointing, though, I thought it'd be funnier if he tried to stifle laughter like he usually does.

I enjoyed this answering machine, but it wasn't the best. 3/5

Best parts:
DJ The Cheat's remix of the KOT's song.
The text message.

Dazzlemazing. It's probably (probably) my favorite one so far. Homestar, The Homestar Runner, and the remix were the greatest parts in my opinion.

This was pretty good. I like the 1936 Strong Band and H* parts. The Easter Egg was good, too. 8/10

Right when I heard that message, I automatically thought of Banana Phone. And now it won't leave. I'm cursed.

Holy crap, what happened? Is that your avatar Good Prize? How did you get it that big? Or is it your location?

Either way, you're going to have to make that smaller.

TOASTPAINT

Answering machine. I don't really watch most of them, they usually aren't that funny, and this was really no exeption. The only good part was the techno remix.
