Pumpkin Stencils

How many of you plan to use them?

If we could carve pumpkins here on campus, I would in a heartbeat. I mean, come on, that Z medallion pumpkin? Completely awesome.

Whoa, those are cool. I think that they would make any Homestar fan's house look even better than it is. Now I'm gonna have to get 23 pumpakins.

That's fairly awesome. I was going to skip the jack-o-lantern thing this year, but I may have to, er, flip-flop on that one. My favorites are The Cheat, Strong Bad (head), Trogdor, Cowcopter, Marshie, and Strong Sad.

The problem with me isn't to decide whether or not to do the jack-o-lantern thing (never been a big fan of them, but I mean... H*R! C'mon, people!) but its which one to use!!!!

Whoa, very cool. I've been trying to decide what to carve on my pumpkins this year, but you just decided for me! Thanks!

That's pretty nifty...since i'm slightly too old for trick-or-treating, i'll pass my time carving Homsar and Stinkoman on pumpkins.. . I wonder if any kids will recognize 'em..hope so!!

You've got a rule against pumpkin carving?? Try as I might, I can't imagine why. Maybe it's against the display of carved pumpkins, like maybe one time they had some offensive ones so they banned them all... But... meh. I can't get behind it.

Well, it's one of those "a few idiots will let their pumpkins sit out for way too long, rot, and stink up the place" sort of things. It has nothing to do with the actual pumpkins or the carvings themselves.

I'll probably either do the Homsar one or the Trogdor one. I'm guessing that the majority of the trick-or-treaters coming to my house will just be confused. Especially since I'll have one of them "Take one, please" things out there, but whenever someone comes by, I'll crack open the door and glare at them.... yeah...

*does a dance*

I can't wait to carve my pumpkins! I'm going to start with Strong Bad's face, and, after that, I'll probably do Coach Z's medallion. I might do Homsar's and Homestar's faces if I have time. This is gonna be so much fun!

There is a fairly good H*R fan base here so I think a lot of people will stop by and less people will egg my house. Hopefully.

Nice job, BALEETED! The Stinkoman one turned out very well, as did the Homestar one. The Cheat looked a bit thin, but that's the stencil's fault.

Thank you very much!!
The Stinkoman was a royal pain.
I used my Makita drill to put the round holes in The Cheat...LOL
I may dry Trogdor next and my wife wants Bubs. I'll up date the alblum if I do.

Those 'Pumpkin Masters' kits with the little knives make it a lot easier then the way I did it as a kid. We just used steak and/or serrated knifes and had the ole triangle eyes and round mouth with teeth.

It was neat, I used my printer to make the stencil, then a thumb tack to press thru. The ink would get reactivated from the pumpkin juice and make black dots where it went in. Check back, I just added that and the drill.

Nice work! I think that they're all great, very much including The Cheat one. You planning on sending the pics to the BC?

Thanks.
Yes, I do, figure they may get a kick out of it. The nephews really had a good time. We took the seeds and put them in the oven for 45min with some salt on some, cayenne pepper on others and cinnamon on the rest. They were pretty good too..We put a little bit of olive oil in a litle zip lock and shook the seeds. Then put them in a pan and put the spices on and then baked them.
Nothing like freashly cooked pumpkin guts ;) :p
Per haps not as good as Benedetto's upcuck popcorn, but I am sure Homestar would have liked them..

(yes, we washed them off before we started)

Very cool, BALEETED. I especially like your Homestar pumpkin. You should send them in to TBC! Who knows, maybe you'll be the next victim of a Strong Bad Halloween commentary... ;)

I definately want to carve a pumpkin this year... I may just pick one up while i'm running around buying parts for the Jezebel the Ford Explorer (my evil gas sucking SUV...i love that trollop).

I'm kinda partial to the running Homestar and the Strong Bad who seems to say "I am STILL AWESOME!"

If I get around to actually carving one, I'll post up the photos.

-LuckyX6

PS - NICE use of power tools, Baleeted. (Is there any other way?) Reminds me of my ex-dog. Her name was Makita.

When I first saw those stencils on the website I was like:

"Man those would be so fun to do. But my dads not goin' to let me do one of those for the sake that the 5yr old arn't going to get it"
(Our neighboorhood has a lot of younger people in it)

So as we (me, my dad and my sister) where going out to get our lovely pumpkin I 'joketivly' brought up the idea. No answer. I think it was until my sister brought up that he shouldn't have made a pass on one car because it was too close he broke into song:

"Burninating the volsewagons, burninating all the cars.... and crash through street laps!!!"

Now you can expect to see Trogdor on our pumpkin. I didn't think he liked trogdor so much.

That's my short and somewhat boring story. I think it's one of those 'you need to be there to understand it more' things.
