I know that Homsar is a misspelling of Homestar but have you ever thought how the two are related?

No, he was just hurt bad and went to the hospital. In one of the early Marzipan's Answering Machines he called and left a message thanking her for the flowers that she sent while he was there. I don't remember which MAM it was, and I'm to lazy to go check the wiki. I think it might be the third though.

This is such a popular theory. xD

I get the feeling they're just of the same...'species', I guess. Maybe they're like hamsters...they all look different, and then there are different types...Like, you've got teddy bear hamsters, and then you've got...underbited/overbited hom-whatevers? xD

I mean...I'm sure there are a bunch of boxing-glove hand'd, wrestling mask headed guys running around out of sight. xD

I think he's an alternate-universe version of Homestar who accidentally ended up in the "real world" somehow. I mean, the alternate universe email sort of implies that that's how Senor Cardgage got here, so why not Homsar? Maybe there's an entire universe full of messed up gibberish-speaking versions of all the main characters. XD
