To tell you quite honestly, I did not enjoy this Halloween special. I think it was because I was so hyped about it, y'know, with the other two toons.

As for recognising people, the only one I recognised was Strong Bad as The Joker.

Even Homsar wasn't funny or had much to do with the plot.

I agree that it was far too short.

In the end, it was a disappointment.

exactly. just like any movie you ever see, you should never go into something with unreasonably high expectations. it's good to get excited for the next halloween cartoon, but don't think that they are going to be able to outdo themselves every year.
a good example would be jibjab's stuff. "This Land" was so hilarious. They just so happened to hit jackpot. They will probably never be able to top that cartoon. Oh well, the other stuff is still funny. Just take each one as it comes...

As for the people who aren't getting the "thorg life" thing, man... I didn't think it would need to be spelled out like this. Hopefully you could understand right off the bat that since it's coach z, it's actually "thug life". I don't ever even listen to rap, but I know who tupac is. A simple google image search can bring you these:

Pay attention to the tats on the stomach area...

Anyone who didn't get the thug life thing anyway obviously didn't read my last post to begin with. (I'm loved)

Are there any Homestarrunner.com Halloween cartoons? I love Homestar.

I think that this cartoon was funny. I found Coach Z's "tatoo" (sp?) hilarious. But the reason why people didn't really like this as much is because it fell under the 100th e-mail syndrome. People hyped it up too much and it wasn't what people were looking for. But that's only my opinion.

I was merely expressing my opinion. I didn't know we weren't allowed to.

I don't think anyone was trying to stop you. Some people agree with you, some don't. I personally think last years was better, but this one was still pretty good. So relax and kick back.

Personally, I don't think it was as smart as other episodes. *sigh* :kot: : My life is a joke

A pretty so-so episode, in my opinion. A few points:

I didn't expect Strong Bad to steal the show, I have to admit - while I'll be the first to admit that he's a good, likeable character, I think he's stolen Homsar's spot as Most Overused Character. Homestar so rarely gets to hog the limelight these days: I would have preferred to see him as the central character, as in Carvenival (and, to a lesser extent, Homestarloween Party [and, to an even lesser extent, Sucky Treats]).

That said, this seemed more like a "traditional" Halloween episode than last year's, thanks to the familiar "go round all the characters one by one" structure.

Homsar's cameo was, naturally, not funny. He wasn't funny in last year's special either. He needs to start doing something a little more than just appear and say a random line vaguely related to his costume. Remember his pumpkin in the '02 special? That was funny, as were his treats a year before. Cropping up in some scene with the Poopsmith and churning out a buzzword? Not funny. Here's hoping for a better Homsar next year...

Highlights: Bubs' comedy (THE best part, without question), the King's costume, Homestar's (startlingly short) appearance

All in all, probably the least good of all the Halloween specials yet, but by no means a bad toon.

Good gawd that would be hilarious! It's scary, wrong and funny all at the same time. He could train the KOT or something... :ahem:

Richard Simmons was sweating to the oldies, not sweating with Oldie. ;)

This one wasn't so grood. What do the hiccups have to do with Halloween? I don't think they focused on the other characters enough. I mean, Pom-pom and The Poopsmith's part was: "The guys who don't talk. Keep on not talking." It focused too much on Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat. That may be good for a SB e-mail or a short, but not a Halloween toon! This was the only 'Ween toon I didn't like.

Simply the fact that they're traditionally cured by fright, which should be commonplace on Halloween. But you're absolutely right on all your other points. The Poopsmith and Pom Pom's tiny role was pathetic, and hardly enhanced by Homsar's lame cameo. What saved this toon in my view was the good bits - when this toon did well, it did really well. Bubs and the King in particular were both on top form.

Since when did Homsar have anything to do with anything, anyway?

And since BigMouthGuy is somewhere in the vicinity of banned, it makes him that much easier to ignore.

Hoping to get back on topic..... I and a lot of my friends liked this cartoon. But it was to Strong Bad centralized. I think that the site needs to go back to focus on Homestar.

I agree with almost all the points here. Strong Bad stealing the show, not enough of other characters, etc. etc. Everything's pretty much been said.

7/10

I think 1337 stopped being cool at around the same time it was created.

Yes, the KOT dressed up as something OBVIOUS AGAIN! Why is it that I always recognize the King? How did he get the mechanics of his head to do such a thing? Yes, I know it's a weird cartoon but Strong Sad seems to feel pain like a real person so umm... The King of Town shoulda had a broken neck trying to do that. He's NOT the Mayor of Halloweentown, only dressed as him.

On that token, the KoT should be dead because he has a heart shaped like a ham. Seriously. The head thing was for comedic effect.

The King of Town should be dead because he's the King of Town.

Yo, I was at a party when totally out of the blue, a guy started talking about Turduckens, completely unrelated to homestar runner!! He hadn't even heard of the website! How odd was that???
