Fine time for this email to show up. Today's my birthday!

Anyway, that was VERY weird...I had no idea what went on.

Holy... even when things were normal, it was MESSED. More than usual. 10/10, as this means a new Compy! Or will we still call it a Compy? I'm thinking next up is a computer like a Windows 3.1.

So hrwiki wasn't working on my comp, and the sbemail didn't show another e-mail...

I typed in the customary "/sbemail118" just to make sure, and when Compy 386?? appeared, I assumed that this was some kinda new 404'd page. Serious. I thought that throughout the entire e-mail, until the paper came out at the end.

I think the e-mail is made funny by the line "I CAN'T SPELL YOU!", but Strong Bad was kinda annoyingly...over-acted?

Yea, that e-mail did kind of call for a Homsar moment, didn't it? Oh well. At least we got a taste with the Homsar moving noise made by Strong Mad. There still could have been more though...

:homsar: , we pine for you...

I seriously think Homsar would've been overkill in this instance. The email was random enough, so having Mr. Random himself come in and do things would've been too much of an awesome thing (which, remember, is really dumb. And bad.)

The Compy... ist kaput!

I think :homsar: would have been great in the occasion if he came in and talked like some sophisticated British scholar. That would have been hilarious.

Well, obviously agreeing with everyone, I think this was tops. Intelligent, surreal and completely unexpected.

I especially loved the fact that the virus started affecting the rest of the Homestar web site - the three radio buttons at the top of the menu page, Strongsad's blog heads, the broken Homestar Runner Opening page, and, of course, Homestar picking up the words from below the frame...

My only dislike was the easter egg of the cheat commandos with homestar's leg. I thought it a little out of place.

I love the fact that you can click the Quote Of THe Week and The Sketch and crap and they're messed up.

Although, now that I think about it, it really felt like a dream. Especially when Homestar came by and started picking up the words from below the frame. It rather reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes dream, when all his numbers fell of his math homework as he was handing it in. But I digress. The sudden dancing with The Cheat also seemed out of character and dream-like.

Not that I'm expecting SB to just wake up next week...

NOOOOO! Compy, dead? There is still hope, the tandy exploded once, maybe compy will be ok. Just try to ignore the easter egg.

As for Homsar being in the email, Homsar isn't funny in any email/toon/mainpage, so I'm glad he wasn't there.

This one was fantastically amazing (I don't care what it does, as long as it folds neatly and fits under a bed). It's in the running for all time best SBe-mail.

I wonder if the Compy 386 will be replaced right away, or if we'll get a few weeks of bumming off of others' compies, like last time. And what will SB's next compy be? Will he move one step forward with a Windows 3.1 model? Will he move backward to, say, an Apple 2e? Will he move far forward, with an ultra-futuristic model? Will he move...um...sideways?

I kinda think that this will turn out to be a dream.. After the above post talking about Calvin and Hobbes, I kinda got thinking, and, maybe I'm easily swayed, but it makes sense... Either that, or TBC is showing us what the matrix would be like with a virus. LOL

There were WAY too many sig worthy quotes in this one...
* "Drop a train on 'em."
* "That is not a small number! That's a big number!"
* "Computer over. Virus = very yes!"
* "and the compy just peed my carpet"

Just to name a few.. This was definately the best email so far...

I didn't notice Homestar "stealing" the words from the bottom of the screen until the 2nd or 3rd time I watched it. I almost peed my carpet when I noticed that!!

It was? Then that makes 2 Hrwiki.com users emails answered.

I dont know what to think. Seriously. I thought it was hilarious and very creative but I think it messed with my circuits a little. And I know we all joke, but did anyone here honestly start feeling bad for SB? I did. Yes I know I'm a freak but if I wasn't I wouldn't have liked this email.

Two big coincidences: 1. hrwiki.org was down this morning (today is it's premier)
2. I just sent an email YESTERDAY saying he should get a new comp.

Also he didn't seem this upset when he lost the tandy.

It seems most of us were wondering what would happen to ol' Compster. Last Tuesday, I also sent an e-mail to Strong Bad, saying that my e-mail contained a virus and that Compy would melt and then explode. Perhaps the Brothers Chaps took influence from all of us fans and chose the best message to represent it. :P

It was a good e-mail, but I think I'll miss Compy. The little guy...with his strong...pixellated monitor.

Rest in Peace

It also seems to be a lot like Chicken Shack's "MarioQ":

including the whole disturbing/surreal coming-apartedness and the broken jpgs :)

AMAZING. Humor. Drama. Conflict. Tragedy. This is really great story telling. The Brother's Chaps have reached a whole new level of quality.

And I must disagree with those who are treating Bub's actions as criminal. While Compy's untimely end was no doubt tragic, Bubs did what he had to do to save Freetown. It was Strong Bad's negligence that led to his companion's destruction, which is what makes it so tragic, almost Shakespearian.
