I wanna see him get a new computer. See this email that I sent a few days ago:

Dear Strong Bad,
I work for an electronics store. I couldn't help
but notice that you've been using your Compy 386
there for a while. Well, us at CompyLand have
just recieved a shipment of the Compy 409. It has
the latest digital character technology, and a
Shiftium .3 proccessor. Also it comes with a free
Cold One! Here, to show you I'm not kidding, have
a coupon.

From,
Will S. of CompyLand

Then I added an ASCII box with the words "GOOD FOR ONE FREE COLD ONE. From your friends at CompyLand." I'd put that in here but I don't know how to get..uuh...mono-type(?) text on here.

Before you ask, No, my name is not Will and I do not work at an electronics store. But I would like to see the Shiftium .3 Processor at work. And the latest digital character technology... man that'd be sweet. I mean, he's typing all those letters and numbers... oh and symbols! Can't forget those. <shuts up>[/i]

Does the Block from the latest email count as his new computer? (?)

No, because it is just an European sub to the compy.

His new computer should be a 486 running straight Debian linux.

His computer at "The office" looks different as well.
More boxy and less rounded than the Compy 486

It's the Compy 386, not 486! Sorry, it just bothered me. Welcome to the forum!

He doesn't really need one and the only times the Compy ever malfunctioned are the 50th and 100th email

Wasn't there an e-mail where there was dust all over the screen?

I personally think he should go with a Commodore 64. (Or maybe even a Vic 20). It would be cool to see him work with 5 1/2' disks, or even a tape drive. That would be more his style.

Or even better yet, remember those old standalone word processors with the grey LCDs? That would be so Strong Bad.

Rediculus explantion ahead. This is what I used to have on fanfiction.net (it was called "Compy's last stand" which is when compy exploded.)

It would be the Dell 2004. It would have contrast knobs that the left make it black, the right make it silver. It would have red....text. It was a black computer, about as big as Compy. It has a menu with "SB EMAIL" "PESANT'S QUEST" and "OTHER STUFF." That's about how weird you get.

Holy gosh, my prediction came true!
Or rather, Strong Bad's getting a new Compy soon...

Strong Bad should get a Compy 400, with new photorealistic quality (two new colors, such as realistic skin tone and realistic stick tone). An upgrade, but still true to Strong Bad's style. :P

Like a mix between the Compy and the Tandy? Yeah, that might work...

We all know in email 118, Bubs shot SB's Compy. A truly awesome yet devastating email. And I found what may be a clue to Tor Coolguy's newest computer.

http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/invisib ... Transcript
In the email Invisibility's DVD commentary, Los Bros Chaps talk about how they didn't upgrade his computer since Invisibility. They also talk about giving him a laptop called Lappy, or the Lappy 486.

Well, that's what I know and what I think. Just another useless thread. Post comments if neccesary.

1) I am glad that somebody noticed my DVD commentary transcript.

2) I did think about bringing this up, but I don't know. It's definitely the best evidence we have as to what Strong Bad's new computer might be, but you never know with TBC.

Maybe the long-ago tale of there being a spy in our midst is true and TBC read this thread and found that alot of people were asking for a new computer so they got rid if the Compy 386.

if they're gonna go for a laptop, i assume it'd be something like this. i also assume they'd go for a different color scheme. we've already had green, then blue.

i thnikk a laptop'd be cool. show a little more of free country. expand the horizons a bit. maybe show sir strong bad operating an electrical adding machine or something.

I think a funny take on the whole "Strong Bad has a laptop now" idea would be for SB to get a computer much like the one my family had back in the day. It was called a "Kaypro", and it used CP/M (the precursor to DOS). The keyboard could be attached to the monitor/computer body to cover up the screen, (5 1/4") disk drives and keys, and there was a handle so it could be carried like a suitcase. Can't you see SB proudly sitting by the stick and informing everyone that he's now got one of them new-fangled portable computers, except it's this really big, blocky thing with extension-cords-to-who-knows-where coming out the back.

OK, found a decent pic and description of the Kaypro here.

No, Strong Bad would NEVER use a Mac. I think he'll still get something OLD. Windows 3.1 perhaps?
