Wikilink.

New email out.

I liked this one. Coach Z's trading cards were hilarious, as were Whatsit Pile Tikes.

Pretty good email. So does this mean that the Poopsmith's first name is Petey? Or not?

Either way, I still give it a 4/5. :D

Oh my gosh, 20X6 The Cheat was ADORABLE!! Nice to see him in an actual toon. Haha, loved the Garbage Pail Kids-type cards there. And yet another reference to Coach Z and butts, hmmm. >_>

For some reason I cracked up at Homestar's line, "And that's saaaaad."

i liked the deadly palor card... it was like magic. magic is a decent game. and then that cheat ball was like pokemon and yugioh mixed, and that was hilarious. i like how StinkoMan had no clue what was going on.

Pedophile-ohnoes! OMGLOLZ!! Sorry...you know someone was going to say it eventually. I just thought I'd get it out of the way first in a jestering sort of way so that no one tried to take it too seriously. ;)

Not a bad email, IMO. Gotta love the texture of that Balsa wood! And I wouldn't mind seeing that card of the KoT getting stung by bees played out in an animatic of some sort.

But Strong Bad benching dinosaurs FTW. He would do that. 7/10

Not bad, not bad. Felt kind of like a Tandy e-mail...but a good one. x3
:homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: /10 Homsars: Above average.

A bit short, but ah well. Better than road trip.

Homestar and Coach Z... X3 I was kinda surprised TBC would do something like that though. *waits for 23443823239 people to come here and say "ZOMG HOMESTAR IS GETTING EDGIER! ZOMG ZOMG WHAT WILL WE DO?"*

I liked this one. The Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh reference was great. "Does anybody know how this game works?"

OMG! DAMERUDAMA-KUUUUN! KAWAII!!!!!!!1111one1eleven ^________^

Okay, now that you've all been weirded out by my "squealing anime fangirl" imitation (though maybe I should've called either 1-Up or Stinkoman a "bishie" to complete the look), let's get to brass tacks. Wait, I didn't bring any, so let's get down to buisness instead.

I thought this E-mail was pretty funny. Having played Yu-Gi-Oh, the Pokemon TCG, and Magic: The Gathering, the "The Cheat's trading card game" sequence was my favorite. I also liked the reference to the Garbage Pail Kids; my bro used to collect 'em and they were amusing in a "really gross and stupid" kind of way. Also, the shout-out to E.T., one of the Worst. Video Games. Ever!

And for the curious or just plain confused, "Damerudama" is my dodgy Japanese translation of "Cheatball".

Right. I loved that.

I mean, everyone can laugh at trading card games. Although I think they were out of style before they were even invented. Remember the Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh card games? Yeah, me neither. :P

Seriously. Those things were both popular for about a year each and then just became something that would allow you to make fun of the people who still actually thought they were cool, or good, or like a good use of time at all.

All in all, I loved it. A new favorite! I liked the Coach Z cards too. WORST SPITTER. XD

Eh, pretty average email. It wasn't bad, just not fantastic. I laughed at the "That's saaaad" line though. Those cards were pretty funny too. I'd give it a 6/10.

You know, the little kids that play it don't even know how to play it right a lot of the time....they're all like "I HAVE A MILLION LIFE POINTS AND CAN SUMMON TEN MONSTERS TO THE FIELD"

BucketHand wrote:

.....I'm sorry, but that comes off more as "Being bad sphere," or in a worst-case translation, "Being useless ball/jewel."

You're better off with "Cheetoboru." :P If you really want to be uber Japanese I could attempt to actually type it in katakana...

Was I the only person that was reminded of this when I saw the cheatball?

Thatw as pretty good! My favorite part was the Cheatball sequence. I can see "Poison Rain Vornado" being on some of those real cards. Overall a nice email, 7.5/10. SBemails have all been pretty good lately. That's a good sign.

I liked it. I was a bit hesitant when the e-mail had "trading cards" as a premise, but it turned out to be some good ol' Strong Bad goodness. I know that someone thought it felt like a Tandy e-mail, but I thought its tone was similar to some of the best from the Compy era. Just a laidback stroll with a great assist from Homestar.

And isn't it weird that this comes out after someone posted the excellent "Yugioh: Abridged" thread on the forum? I'm not saying the Chaps knowingly tied the two. It's just that this was a great e-mail to watch after seeing some fun Yugioh parodies. :)

Looooved it. As an avid fan of trading card games--especially those parodied--I have to say I loved it! Especially the 20X6 segment. Yaaaay cheatball! Yay random scrolling numbers!

And I loved the intro. "Thanks for the tip, Dan. I'll be sure to lay low here in the States for a while." BUT HE DIDN'T CAPITALIZE STATES! Bad grammar nazi!

OK, I have to totally admit, whenever I play Yu-Gi-Oh, I SO make those "Bee-dee-dee-dee-BREE!" noises when Life Points change.

I'd like to apologize for my crappy knowledge of Japanese, and I'd also like to add that Coach Z's butt-patting habits have reached a new level of creepiness with this e-mail. :coachz: =

Very solid email. The Cheatball is probably the coolest thing ever. And I thought he was awesome is sprite form...

I thought it was pretty funny... especially the butt patt stuff with Homestar... and him not realizing exactly what SB said about Coach Z. lol. The cheatball sequence was my favorite.

Good sbemail. I like I like.

Strongstar Runbad Determines-the-HSR-Wiki's-Official-Stance-o-Tron 960000 gives it Image.

Opinion: Tons better than "road trip," "trading cards" is definitely one of the best Lappy-era emails, and easily makes its way into the top fifteen in the post-100 emails.

Coach Z's cards were funny too but...I think we can all safely assume that he's gay. Witch kinda stinks.

Doubt it. The Brothers Chaps wouldn't do something like that.

I think the direction they are going is the "Coach Z is creepy" direction.

On another note, this email was hilarious. What Homestar did when he said butt-pat always cracked me up, but the funniest part was when he said "Well that's just sad!"

And the Cheatball was adorable.

Creepy-maybe-pedophile not equals gay. Besides, see Marzipan's Answering Machine & his "inapprapriate" remarks to her during commercial break that one time. And witches would say that it's just your subjective perception that they smell bad. They prefer to think that they smell "natural".

This email was OK. It was nice to see Cheatballchu for the first time in that form. And "Crunk Warriors" was a bit of a surprise. And the Magic cards earned a chuckle. But they might be going too far on the Coach Z creep factor. D+

I thought that this email was great, but sadly too short. The Cheatball scene was the best, and I loved seeing all the parodies of trading cards.

8/10.

It was okay. I liked the numbers flashing around Stinkoman best; that was pretty funny. 19/30 this week.
