about Lost

I love this show. I only saw the last few episodes of the first season, but I saw all of the second season.

I've only seen the first 30 minutes of the very first episode, and from what I saw, it was pretty grood.

Can someone tell me if there's a first season DVD set? I know there's a second, and I'm too lazy to check.

Um.. yes. It would be pretty bizarre if they released the second season on DVD before the first season.

Well, I said that because the show 24 only has the second season out, and not the first. I think it would be weird too, but I was just checking.

Gah, yeah, I was mixed up with something else... I knew I was probably wrong, I just couldn't find it at any stores in my town. There has been a show that did that though.

I should maybe pick up the first season on DVD. I didn't start watching until near the end of season 1, like around the time Locke first found the hatch. No other show in recent memory has been this cool - and shocking. (Two for the Road - if you know what episode this is.... yeah.) I can't wait for the next season. Which I will have to tape because I took a late Wednesday class. >.>

I'm soooo freaking excited. I'm watching Season 2 finale right now (it's in its final scenes) and when its over, I'll just turn on the TV and....well. You know. Awesomeness ensues. So, are you excited? Thoughts on the season premiere?

The premiere felt a little slow, though... I think that's kind of like the first two seasons; they got off a little slow and then moved along more quickly only once some things were in place.

This is a Lost thread, so I shouldn't really need spoiler warnings if I'm covering what happened in an episode, but I'll spoilerify it anyway:

Then, everyone crashed on an island, and the first season was spent exploring it, pretty much. Romantic. Not only that, but it builds up to the end with the discovery of the hatch and in fact ends up with the opening of the hatch -- a sign that we're going back to modern. The second season was largely centred on the hatch, so it was indeed modern, and at the end of the season, the hatch was totalled, basically. Destruction of a modern setting -> back to romantic. As such, I'm doubting Jack, Kate and Sawyer really get to enjoy "civilization" for long.

My theory? There are two groups of "Others," on the island, one "good" group (who we currently know), and a group of "bad" Others, possibly the "hostiles" that Desmond spoke of in Live Together, Die Alone.

The people who abducted the tail section on the first day after the crash in "The Other 48 Days". Why would it be the Others if Benjamin had asked for "lists in three days" in "A Tale Of Two Cities"?

The third name down....there was a Carl on the plane....unlikely the writers were thinking of season 3 during season 1, but there's a slight possibility that our friend in the cage was on the plane.

What episode is that from? I noticed it lists "Lucia, Anna" as if it were her first and last names. But her full name is Ana-Lucia Cortez.

Yeah, I also noticed that. I believe it's from one of the LOST interactive websites back from Season 1. I'm thinking the Australian Channel4 website....

That image is most likely non-canon, since several of the names are of questionable authenticity.

(PS: His name is spelled like Karl, not Carl. source)

SPOILERZ!!! Although by now it's probably too late.

I hear from a not-entirely-reliable source that Eko wanted to leave the show so he could go back to his home where someone died. Otherwise he wouldn't have been killed off.

So how now will they explain that thing? I mean, the others seem to have modern technology, but they don't seem to have much supernatural things like smoke hypnotism or whatever.

Man, if Kate gets a kid because of Sawyer... that baby would be the greatest thief of all time. Also Jack has outsmarted the others. He should win the internet. Or at least supreme leadership over the second island.
