Heh. I don't want Lappy to end, though! It deserves a long, healthy run, like the good ol' Compy. :P

would "It's Guacamole and Banana Bread Time!" be a reference to "It's Peanut Butter and Jelly Time!"?

I was thinking the exact same thing too! Too bad it's not listed in the real-world references.

Well, "Guacamole and Banana Bread Time" doesn't scan like "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" would. I think it would have to be a more obvious reference (like if SB started chanting "Where ya at, where ya at, now there ya go, there ya go" after he said it :p ) before we posted it.

Also, again with the "good riddance to the Lappy" vibe... What's with you peoples? What did Lappy ever do to you?

Here's the problem with what's going on with the latest emails. Every time the email jingle gets a little hokier and the email itself more pukily self-referential and kind of corny (Strong Bad even told himself to shut up) while not doing anything really funny and different. Making fun of Jake's name seemed forced. Little Jakey Pleasenthanks seemed too much. Secret sorcret overdid the joke about Coach Z's accent especially when it was repeated twice. This was way too much: You missed unmasking the Thnikkaman!!! {slight pause} Because you have really bad hand-eye coordination!!! I winced more here than at any other part of the email. Plus the gag is empty. We know it's Bubs. The beauty of the Brothers Chaps' other emails is how clean and good the jokes are, gently recycling gags without going overboard and adding tons of good joke parts to make a meaty email. And this is when making fun of Coach Z's accent gets out of hand: My secret sorcret has been revereled. I thought the many cliffhangers split up the email into a bunch of insignificant and not very meaty shorts, simultaneously trying to make it more substantial and trivializing it with too much obvious repetition. The problems in the Space Captainface segment begin with the mention of Lita Ford which I thought was a way too unsubtle and obvious reference to Strong Bad's obsession with hair metal. The joke about forgotten produce, although the name was relatively funny, is another ungracious breaching of the tension between their pretending they are in a spaceship and that they are not actually in a space ship. The thing is akin to a really rash breakage of the fourth wall if it would have been in some kind of Star Trek with bad props. So it pretty much goes overboard both with space show stereotypes and the fact that Space Captainface's ship is fake. Sweet lady irony has definitely bestowed too much of herself on one email.

Watched it a second time: it's not that bad.

Great. Now I'm scared to go to the "Post your sketches here" board. Or any board on here, for that matter. No where is safe.

Technically, wouldn't it be Musachan's evil plan?

My guess is that The Cheat is holding it/her hostage so he can get a bigger allowance. Strong Sad doesn't have the guts, Marzy doesn't care, Strong Mad lacks the brains, but The Cheat? The brains AND the motive.

The Lappynapper'll probably turn out to be a random person who we would have never suspected. And we'll all turn out to be wrong. You know how The Bee Cees are.

Yeah. Maybe it's like a pattern:
Tandy- Short
Compy- Long
Lappy- Short

So you get it. Who knows?

This is my first SBEmail cliffhanger, so I'm way too exited/nervous/insert emotion here. I'm guessing it gets better after you live thru it once or twice.

Heh.

Anyway. Let's see.

LAPPY-NAPPER SUSPECTS:
Homestar- He admitted he stole it, but he isn't really the sharpest big knife in the weapons shop. Might be mad that SB kind of stole the site from him.

Strong Mad: He's stupid...maybe stupid enough to steal it...

Strong Sad: Constantly put-down, pummeled, locked in bathtubs and underwear-sold. Probably wants to get back at SB.

The Cheat: He gets kicked a lot.

The others aren't suspects.

I'd personally say it's Strong Sad...

LOL @ the Strong Badman pic. XD;

I have a theory as to who did it (it's not any of the people above, btw...) but it's incredibly stupid and overly complex and I don't feel like posting it, at least until the real culprit is revealed and I know just how way, WAY off I was. :P

It'd actually be kinda cool if it were Strong Sad, though. He DESERVES to get a little bit of revenge, darn it. ;D
