And then? lady...ing comes out, with the announcer finally appearing again! Hurrah. Nobody thinks anything of it, but then we also get a 'toons DVD! If MLS and JJC are on it, I think TBC are trying to tell us that the problem's over, and MLS, JJC and the Announcer can happily appear again.

No, it can't be the Announcer. He is now on the cartoon remake of "Strongest Man In the World". And while MLS and JJC did not make the cut on the first toon DVD, they did make it onto the second DVD. They can be found on the Museum section of that DVD.

This has nothing to do with the Announcer. They took it off because the characters in it are not truly the current Homestar and everybody else. It's probably just embarassing for them to show these toons that they made forever ago.

Then why did they keep In Search of the Yello Dello? That one wasn't very good either.

Then why would they put them on the DVD?

At the very least, they could stick them in the museum.

Well... I don't know, I doubt it. But it said on the FAQ that it was for personal reasons, so I think we should stay out of it.

Personal... I don't really think so as far as MLS goes. I was watching MLS yet again... and there were a couple of copyright violations. For example, the use of "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" theme by Ennio Morricone. Since H*R has made it so big, it might actually have put them under the scrutinizing eye of a lawyer.

They released Marshmallow's Last Stand on Everything Else Volume 2, but they changed The Good, The Bad and The Ugly theme to something else.

Perhaps they didn't want to change it for the online version. I suppose it was to make it a DVD exclusive item now?

Ironically, the theme for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly can still be heard during MLS if you watch it through the audio commentary.

Then why would they put them on the DVD?

Because it's a DVD, and not the actual website. Anyone who buys it is obviously a hardcore H*R fan and would truly appreciate it, whereas a passerby to the site who sees it would think it's stupid and possibly judge the rest of the site based on it.

At any rate, I'm going with Kevin DuBrow on this one. In my opinion, MLS isn't that funny -- it's kinda boring. Also, there is the continuity issue, for both that and AJJC. But I'm taking TBC's word on it regardless.

I didn't really like MLS either. Strong Bad was just too, well, bad. The whole toons audio/video synchings were kind of off, big time. And on the DVD, it was much worse.
