Good email. I think I'm going to watch it again though. Not sure I got all that the first time. Looks like the Paper is dying though. Probably a foreshadowing of the next email.
The Cheats easter egg was pretty good.

Nice one. Though, does this mean Strong Bad has changed his policy about do-overs?

I liked the army fair, though KOT's ad would have been better with some stirring theme music.

That Support the Municipality stuff scares me. The Reich is back!

I hope SB fixes his paper instead of replacing it...

Perhaps some of you people are persistently pining about the Paper being passed on, so please pacify yourselves. (Nice alliteration, huh?)

I think that in order to repetitively say "young man" quickly, you'd have to start slow while recording with Audacity and increase the tempo a little bit.

It was a decent email. Had a few solidly funny moments. Normally I do like to see the occasional thematic continuity between emails, but a lot of this seemed like a not-especially-fresh revisiting of the original introduction of the Homestarmy.

As regards the foreshadowing of the paper's impending replacement, all's I can say is, I'm not surprised.

That's harder to say than I would have thought...

Well, I don't know, this e-mail made me giggle and LOL a lot. It wasn't one of my all-time favourites or something, but I liked it.

And I may be alone, but I'm just not freaking out over The Paper...

Yeah, Homestar's monologuing was the only funny part of this email. Everything else just seemed like a stale cash-in on previous emails. I really hope they ignore the paper, just because I'm kind of sick of them turning one-off gags into huge deals. C-.

I'm actually kinda surprised that they are quite possibly going through with the montage reference. I thought they would have forgotten it, like 2 years.

I found that this email along with a lot of the other recent emails have been pretty good. Though I rarely literally lol at emails, I'm usually always interested anyways. From an artistic stand point I think they've been pretty top notch lately, especially with this one. I know some of it has been used before like Homestar wearing a bowl on his head or the Poopsmith's S.W.A.T. stance, but I still think it's neat to see it all together at once, it's like a big compilation of all kinds of cool things in one with some new stuff on top of it. I dunno, everything from the way they pan the "camera" around to make it look like someone approaching the desk, and the sound fx, and the voice acting, I think it's all worth watching even if it's not as funny sometimes. Everything runs rather smoothly, and it's cool to see how far they've come in the flash animation department, the way the characters move and stuff, it never looks robotic or forced anymore.

I know it seems weird for me to concentrate on small things like a bottle of 'Chup or a wagon full of pancakes but it takes a fair bit of work to make so many simple things look decent and not sloppy. Just my thoughts on this email and the ones leading up to this one.

Impressed. Can't give it anything less then a 4-star for those reasons alone.

I'll be happy when Homestar gets his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I mean Strong Bad really deserves it more but Homestar is a better representation of all the characters as a whole and with the whole star dealie on the shirt. Yep. Seems pretty right to me!

I think this one was okay. Definitely not the highest quality, but it was entertaining. For as much as the Poopsmith and KoT issue "blahs" with me, I am completely in love with the municipality. I think it would have been better if the commercial was darker and played up more of the Orwellian propaganda more than just making it seem like just another "be all you can be" ad, but It's just great that the poopertroopers are back, brandishing their fiendish nightshovels.

Plus, Tito, the "Majestic Intro" music (At the Tito bit), and the paper's illness (probably to placate the OMGWTFDNAEVIDANCEISGOING2KILLPAPAR. crowd) is amusing.

I'd say, :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: anna jhonka/ :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:

They DO know about the wiki, so they've probably been to the forum a couple times, and have most likely seen some of the "OMG, I wonder if they'll actually kill off The Paper?!?" type posts. They have probably also gotten zillions of emails wondering if The Paper will die, come Strong Bad email 173.

Oh, and you have to keep in mind that 2 years was made up in Strong Bad's extremely unreliable imagination (I mean, he didn't have the willpower to get by the firewall, for pfargtl's sake! :P), and the prediction is thus unreliable, whereas the demise of The Paper was foreshadowed in a different way, as a documentary-type thing that was NOT done by SB. So, there are differences in the presentation of each one.

In my opinion, Homestar's monlogue was my absolute favorite thing on the website so far. Seriously, that was the most brilliant thing ever. I went around doing it at school and got everyone angry.

Also, I'm glad someone else realizes that "buttor" wasn't a butt joke.

Yeah I liked Homestar's input on this one too. "What kind of screwed-up kid are you? We don't recruit your kind! Get out of here!"
...why do I find people being mean funny? lol

I'm one of the shameless people who missed the butter thing, I forgot all about that. But to anyone who doesn't know the nature of the KOT, that still means butt!

Sure does, but that's a bit obvious, isn't it? Maybe it's just a decoy; knowing TBC, it may well be alive and well in a week's time. On the other hand, what with DNA evidence, who knows?

Good email, on the whole. Homestar was the funniest:

:hr: : The last time I fired up one of my old Sega tapes, it made me a waffle.
:hr: : Well, what if your girlfriend was a wooden spoon and an orange plastic bowl? That'd be really weird, man. What kind of screwed-up kid are you?

I didn't like "The Municipality" though; frankly, some crazy-store-crap is best kept as crazy-store-crap.

I think people should stop getting so riled up over the paper. News flash people: it's just a cartoon, and the Chapmans can do whatever they want with it, because it's their cartoon. Admittedly, the paper could be funny at moments, but for the most part, it served little purpose other than to display Strongbad's email address. They're probably just gonna replace it with another sheet of paper with the same functions and personality, just a slightly different image.

Meh, not that great. It was a bit rushed. I did, however, laugh my head off at Homestar's recruitment attempt. I am surprised TBC are actually gonna upgrade the paper...
Or are they??

Yes I was thinking that as well. Strong bad will probably try to get it fixed, just like the Tandy. Well, that's my predictionl lol.

Wait...you mean he's actually going to go ask Bubs if he can repair a sheet of paper? SB doesn't have a printer, dude!

Or maybe they checked out our forum, They know the wiki is here, ya know?

You're right, maybe when we all started thinking that the DNA Evidence was from the paper and/or somehow died, they must have remembered...

Back on task:
:hr: "Say, you got a girlfriend? Well, what if your girlfriend was a wooden spoon and an orange plastic bowl? That'd be really weird, man. What kind of screwed-up kid are you? We don't recruit your kind! Get out of here!"

Best quote ever. and...

THE PAPPER!!! WHY MONTAGE, WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!???????????????????!!!?!?!?!?!?!YYYYYY....YYYYYyyyyyy....*deep breath* WHYYYY-- *shot*
WTPF is gonna happen to the paper tomorrow? Is it a joke by the Super Chapman Bros.? Have they noticed that the DNA evidence gag/toon made us think of the paper's 173# email death and remebered them? Will the paper be replaced by an inject printer!? IS TURKEY MORE FREAKIN' HEALTHY THAN CHICKEN!!!???

No one will now untill next monday...

EDIT:

Well, what about the black top of the toon (if watched normally from the website), I once tought (in the DNA Evidence/The paper's desmiss era) that the black top would be the paper's printer...

Mmm'k. Good email. Very funny. Not many parts that made you spaz but a very good email indeed.
Good points
Shady Missionarys (Being a pretty devout Christian, I found this at the same time funny and degrading).
The Municipality (Just awsome)
Everything Homestar (It just rocked man, like it's been said, the best quote ever came from there)
The paper (I almost yelled in surprise at this one. I'm glad they'll be doing something. I'll miss the paper though, it's almost like another character).

6.5-7/10

I just realized next Monday is Memorial Day, and there's all this talk about the armies, and that's when the Paper goes away...

Will there be a second battle of Strong Badia?!
