I wonder what kept TBC from making Strong Bad look distressed like they did in email 159.

Not bad, not good. Memorable none the less. I expect that this paper isn't going to last very long.

Wonder if The Cheat will get a new iMac ... or a Mac Mini?

What?! Why?! The Cheat wouldn't get a Mac Mini, it would be a step down from what he's got right now. He already had the top model of the iMac, I think, so I don't see any reason for him to get a new one. *ends ramble*

Anyways, I think this email was great. Granted, it wasn't the funniest one of all time, but I think they ended The Paper era very satisfactorily. Hmm, is that a word? Anyway, I was starting to get tired of The Paper and I'm glad they got a The Paper 2.0. Too bad the print sound is too hard to pronounce, though.

Fav iTems:
:hr: "Look, I was just going to pour Mountain Dew on it! I mean [I don't feel like putting all the names up]!"
AND
:hr: "The blood is rushing tooooooo my heaaaaad. Blacking out, blacking out, blacking out."

Reference to One Two

:sb: "Why do all my 30 year old electronics keep dying on me?!?"

And all the other funny parts.

After three computer generations, we finally see The Paper take a bow.

The New Paper will take a little bit of getting used to, but I don't mind it so much. It still has a bit of nostalgia to it.

Huh...I never thought they'd actually go through with it. Well, this is quite an interesting change.

Haha, the "goth" and "prep" phases really made me laugh. Also Homestar's easter egg. "The blood is rushing to my head...blacking out, blacking out, blacking out."

I also found the island scene quite funny. "Why is the island sinking?"

Quite a good email in my opinion, but I'll miss The Paper nonetheless.

Farewell The Paper. We shall miss thee. At least you went out peacefully; "iT is Tiime. YOU kNOw WhHat to dO."

That new inkjet printer, Paper 2.0 has some big shoes to fill. Still i liked the little graphics on the "Click here to email Strong Bad" link. Also, i liked the referance to "One, Two" and how "Look, We're not doin' this again!"

Good Email, one of the best. But I don't like New Paper. :/

Wait, if New Paper is inkjet, will the Lappy become high-tech?

Heh, New Paper's printing ways are like my injeckt printer's. DECOLORED FROM THE BOTTOM AND WITH WHITE LINES. That made me laugh a bit.

Man, I guess we all miss The Paper...
Eh, well, I'll make a "memoriam" later, but I'll start by making spanish subtitles...

Anyways, best email parts:

TP'S Gothic and Preppy styles
Preeow, world
Homestar's aknoledgement of the paper's random appereances
New paper's way of printing (See above, but I don't like the Sound effect...)
One, Two. One, Two (almost) remake.

I think I liked The Paper 1.0 better, but this email was very funny.

Wow. Sounds like someone is a little too bitter over the demise of a fictional printer in an online cartoon.

You know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion about the "sucktitude" or the "non sucktitude" of the Paper 2.0 I suppose, but trying to label an email as "not funny" becuase of it, especially when the email itself seems to be quite funny to most of those that have commented on it (what they think of the new paper besides), reeks of both bitterness, poor logic, elitism, and honestly.... a truckload of dumb.

Just becuase you can be blunt with two words on something doesn't magically make you right, nor does it turn your statement into a bonified fact (which is usually the intent of pointed, rude bluntness)

Eh. Just seeing arrogant and smug people trying to dismiss something as "not funny" becuase either they woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or becuase of some kind of baffling illogical, not-even-barely-rational criticism of a completely irrelevant point always annoys me.

The new paper does suck, but I thought the email was funny. It was a bit predictable and I would have rather had a "normal" email, with the paper dying some horrible death at the end. Oh well. When I get my own flash toon website, I can do whatever I want.

I couldn't help but think that the island thing was a reference to the end of Contra.

Wow. This email was both hilarious with a bunch of neat touches, and a fitting end for The Paper. I liked Li'l Strong Bad's Devil Duckie shirt, the easter eggs, and Homestar with his Mountain Dew again.

Also, I would like to say that when Homestar began naming sodas, I knew (hoped, really) that Surge would come up, and when it did, I rose my fist in triumph.

...I am the Soda Tyrant, after all. You guys remember that, right?

Anyway, a spectacular email. This new paper may get some taking used to.

I personally am glad that the paper didn't go out like the Tandy and the Compy, to a degree (1 word for how they went: SHAMEFUL). As horrible as this is going to sound, I hope the paper is really dead and won't try and get some kind of Jelous Revenge on any future printers, although, that's never been like the paper.

I will always remember the paper in my heart, but not in my mind...
The new Paper's all flashy and commercial-y, but then again, so is Strong Bad ('I'm awesome', 'I'm the guy who always wins at things'. etc.)

Think I'm gonna write a song about it.

God email. The new paper is good enough. And Strong Bad's interpretation of the new preeow noise was funny. The papers gothic and prep phases were funny. Homestar is always funny, "The blood is rushing to my head, Blacking out, Blacking out, Blacking out, " So... 3.9/5

Watching this email turned me into Strong Sad.

I hope that they just forget about all that happened and bring back the old paper, like what they did with that office chair Strong Bad got a while back.

I'm surprised there isn't a screen cap on the Wiki page of Strong Bad huddled over the broken printer with the caption "Why do all my 30 year old electronics keep breaking on me?"

Just as you all expect, im the guy who wrote the E-mail used in the SBEmail "The Paper".

Now I wrote the e-mail because I "really" didnt want the paper to end up like the "Tandy" and the "Compy" wanting to get revenge on Strong Bad, just because it broke down.

Also i'd personally say the best moment I think Strong Bad ever had with the paper is in "Retirement" when the paper served as an interpeter for Strong Bad to get the "Lappy" back.

I really hope The Brother's Chaps really read this fourm because this is what i've got to say about Strong Bad's best friend.... The Paper...

P.S. we really need a The Paper emoticon now... :sb:

The Paper didn't seem like he was afraid of death, man. He was comfortable with letting Strong Bad torch him. He'd never do that.

Also, Mr. Ogdenite, how do you feel knowing that out of the millions of e-mails Strong Bad got with similar text, yours was the one picked?

Here's the thing: Those were just Strong Bad's predictions. No doubt he's going to be a little "off" on accuracy when it comes to the future - As he can't see it.
