Also, Mr. Ogdenite, how do you feel knowing that out of the millions of e-mails Strong Bad got with similar text, yours was the one picked?

lets put it this way, I sent two e-mails (with practicly the same content), also with watching montage about 1,000,000 times, and seeing how tandy and compy reacted when they were just "thrown away", I think the paper needed a chance to be remembered, not just by Strong Bad, but by all of us viewers.

im sure you guys know that in retirement, the paper admitted to "liking hushpuppies".

Sigh. The Paper was a great character. At least he is in Heaven now, eating hushpuppies with his fallen brothers.

I like The Paper 2.0, though. I don't know why people think that he comes down too slow. He doesn't come down slowly at all: he just doesn't come down in one smooth movement. I believe that this newbie will grow on us all in time.

I can't believe the paper is gone. I'm so sad. I just hope I can get used to the new paper.
@ Chocozuma: I'm right behind you, my eyes were starting to water up.

I find it funny that Homestar wants a "time-and-space-transcending" teammate, whilst he has Homsar.

Anyway, the email gets an 8/10...I will miss the paper.

I'm sad the Paper is gone, but I think the email made it a great way for the Paper to leave.

Awww. That was awesome! I laughed more at this than I have at homester for a long long time. Brothers Chaps = Win with this one. It was beautiful. Not too short, it was actually just perfect so it didn't seem drug out...it did what it needed to do, and did it brilliantly.

The best parts of the email were, clearly:

3. The easter egg. "We're not doing this again. No, seriously, WE'RE NOT DOING THIS AGAIN!" Perfect inside joke.
2. Strong bad trying to make the new paper sound. DOesn't quite roll off the tongue, indeed.
1. Simple slapstick: "There is absolutely nothing wrong with the paper! OOOWWWWW!" Beautiful.

Ah, the paper. Will you be inexplicably back next week, like stooly, or have we really seen your end? Either way, you had a good run. RIP, The Paper. No, wait! Don't rip the paper. It's suffered enough already!

I didn't cry but I DID wince and get a slight knot in the stomach when Strong Bad burnt it. I guess I just got really caught up in the moment or something. heh.

I will really miss the paper but I'm going to give the new paper a chance. It'll be good. :)

Good email, though I do wonder why some people are so quick to judge the New Paper. You can't really judge something by about 20 seconds of introduction. Although I hope the fading lines at the bottom go, because I think it might look better without them. Kinda makes it look... unpaper-like. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, the One Two easter egg was probably my favourite bit.

About the noise it makes, I think that's okay as well. Though it might have to change for the sake of Strong Bad being able to make an onomatopoeia of it.

Just as you all expect, im the guy who wrote the E-mail used in the SBEmail "The Paper".

Now I wrote the e-mail because I "really" didnt want the paper to end up like the "Tandy" and the "Compy" wanting to get revenge on Strong Bad, just because it broke down.

Also i'd personally say the best moment I think Strong Bad ever had with the paper is in "Retirement" when the paper served as an interpeter for Strong Bad to get the "Lappy" back.

I really hope The Brother's Chaps really read this fourm because this is what i've got to say about Strong Bad's best friend.... The Paper...

P.S. we really need a The Paper emoticon now... :sb:

Cool, us total ogdenites don't have enough H*R fans. Congrats on being part of SB history.

I'm giving the new paper a chance. But it's officially on trial status.

Wow... they did it.

As an e-mail, it would be a 2.5, but as a landmark in world history, it has to get a 3.5. Goodebye the paper!

The Paper... 4, maybe even 5 years of serving strong... bad. At least 165 emails (there were a few where he didnt come down), and now its time for you to retire. Love the way he went out. The ONLY thing that could have made this email better was if The Cheat's head exploded. on a scale out of ten, it gets a 9.2. And, whoever said The Paper was "outdated and boring", shame on you. The hushpuppie loving, Preeeoooowww makin, Lappy saving roll of tree was basically one of the brothers strong! Strong Paper... yeah. And know what? Another thing that wouldve pushed this email off the charts is if The Paper had a funeral. And The the Lappy, the compy and tandy's ghosts, the brothers strong, the cheat and everyone in free country, usa went. even senor cardgage. the paper... :(( goodbye...

*sniffle* Goodbye, old friend. you shall be missed. :(

I... can't believe I actually sniffled a bit at the "BYE NOW" written in ash. I am SUCH a nerd. D:

Anyway, a pretty good send-off for one of the site's longest lived "characters". The funniest bits were definitely Goth Paper, "why don't I have a time-and-space transcending piece of paper?!?", and "I didn't even kill any end bosses!" Homestar's little "blacking out" song and the reference to One Two One Two at the end were highly amusing as well. XD

the new paper looks alright (I like how the color fades at the bottom like old inkjet printers do ALL THE TIME), but it's gonna take a looong time to get used to no "Preeeow". :(

:homsar: aaaaaAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAaaaaAAAAAaaaAAAAAAHHHHHHH...
:sb: Ol' Papes is at the top of his game! OW!!!
:sb: Why do all my 30-year-old electronics keep breaking on me?!?

You know what we should do? We should each time we post we tell the best moment WE had with the paper. Mine was...
:sb: The Paper? Come on down and meet your new brother.
Preeow...
:sb: That's it...
Prrzzzt...
:sb: Nope! Ugh! Come on!
Preeow...
:sb: Lappy, this is The Paper. He lets me know when i've stopped being funny.
(Enough already, Strong Bad)
:sb: Oops. Sorry. Bye everybody.

Now remember: Everyone is different. No two people are not on fire.

I was watching some older emails, and I realised that I'm going to miss the sound that The Paper made. The same sound is used in Pom Pom Too, and my first thought when I heard it was that the email was over.

To The Paper!
I don't think that Inkjet will hold up for long though.

Strongbad shouldn't upgrade to Inkjet, he should just buy a new..uh...Preoww Paper Printer

At least get a printer that can emulate all the preowwness of The Paper..

Anyway, I hope the upcoming short is about Strong Bad's Quest For Acceptable New Printer, that'd be great.

The paper

On behalf of all of the members of the HRWiki I thank you for being a part of our lives and I hope you can still remember all the times we shared.

We're going to miss you buddy..

Say Kyle (or wi2Kbug), how come you didn't make sure whether or not "Strong Bad" was spelled correctly (two words, not one)? It seems to me that the Lappy's getting more emails beginning with "Dear Strongbad" than the Tandy and Compy.
