So, here's the deal: Since there's no real reason for use to make new threads about Strong Bad Emails that came out before the forum existed, this is a place where you can discuss all the "classic" emails. That means any and all pre-100 emails... at least in my mind. Really, it just means emails that were too old to ever to have been discussed here at the Forum when they came out.

So.

LURES AND JIGS
In my mind, this is a classic. I mean, I know I just defined all the pre-100 Sbemails as classics, but this is a classic OF the classics. I mean, something. I just love the thing at the beginning where SB reads "Dear Strong Bad" several times over before realizing what's wrong, but more importantly, I love the Fish Show with Strong Bad and Coach Z. Strong Bad's ineptitude at fishing is genius. The whole lure thing is funny, but then when he does his jig and the fish ACTUALLY GET INTO THE BOAT is just hilarious.

PERSONAL FAVORITES
What can I say? All the made-up email snippets are awesome and I wish those emails really did exist. XD

BIG WHITE FACE
In my mind, this is a really underrated email. Strong Sad is just so forgotten that when someone suggests to our favorite email-checker to be nicer to the guy with the "big white face and gray body," he cannot even realize it's Strong Sad in the first place. The fact that he settles on the Poopsmith as the person it was talking about is even more hilarious. The real genius behind the Poopsmith is not all the potty humor, but how awkward anyone else feels around him. And poor Strong Sad loses once again at the end.

"I put beans on it... you know, in case you wanted beans on it."
"I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened to me... today."

OK, yeah. More from me later, maybe. What about you guys?

Stunt Double was my first email. It was also Dangeresque-ish and had really good moments.

I also enjoyed suntan for some reason.

I really can't think of any to be honest... I don't remember my first email, but I'm pretty sure "sibbie" was one of the first ones I liked a lot. I came to the website around November 2004, I know that. Around the time I was recovering from my total obsession with Animal Crossing.

Because it came out when this forum was around and was already discussed.

At least, to my knowledge... >_>

I agree. It was the earliest Strong Bad email to make me laugh.

Actually, according to the wiki it was haircut, the email after lunch special. But haircut is email #103, and virus was email #118. Virus definitely had a thread.

This Emails forum wasn't created until a couple months after the whole Wiki Forum came out. The newest email when the WF was created was haircut, but that other email could very well have had a thread first, because there was no specific 'Emails' forum yet anyways.

50 Emails. Every second of that Email was brilliant, from Strong Bad's dubious telephone conversation to Homestar's computer difficulties.

Credit card, I love that one. It's just so simple and sweet. I wish SB answered more emails like that one- the ones nowadays are straightforward questions, but that one was a twist.
I too liked the joke of Big White Face; watching Pom Pom all pumped up holding a knife was too good.

Dragon and Japanese Cartoon are definitely classics though, not many people would disagree. (and if they do, they're insane. :homsar: )

A few of my favorite "short n' sweet" emails include funny, gimmicks, car, and a couple others.

One I rarely hear about: Spring Cleaning. That was one of the earliest e-mails to make me fall out of my chair laughing.

Number 10: 50 emails

Strong Bad tries to answer 50 e-mails, which would be funny enough, but then Homestar comes along, wrecks it, and makes it even funnier.

Best parts:

Homestar borrowing a fondue pot for reasons I don't want to know.
Strong Bad selling Strong Sad's soolnds for 50 bucks.
Homestar being dumb as a sack of rocks and not remembering the right word.

Number 9: the process

Strong Bad shows us all how its done. I love this one because of the fourth wall breaking and it makes fun of Strong Bad Emails a bit.

Best parts:

No real parts made me laugh hard while watching this one, but the whole thing had me amused at least slightly.

Number 8: island

Take a classic overused sitcom episode that is never used anymore, add Homestar and Strong Bad, and it's hilarious.

Best parts:

How it mocks episodes of shows where characters are on an island, or shows that are that.
"You know... cause I'm gonna hit you... and you'll need the ice cream to... stop the swelling."
"Umm... Did you just call me Stinkoman?"
The rest of Strong Bad's quotes while he's on the island.
"Toons! Games!" etc.
The Super Bowl ad.

Number 7: video games

Strong Bad tells us all what he'd be like in a video game. I love this one mostly just because of how much more it shows Strong Bad's love of old technology.

Number 6: different town

What would Free Country, USA be like if it was different? This one, along with the last, I don't like just because they're funny.

Best parts:
The whole song,

Number 5: action figure

Strong Bad's action figure owns. Again, this one I don't just like for the humor, really.

Best parts:

Double duece action!
"Smells like peanut action."
The easter egg.
The background music

Number 4: local news

Making fun of local news is the best thing evre.

Best parts:

SkyCheat Traffic.
Strong Bad's Rythm N' Grammar.
"The World In Crisis! .... But more on that later."
"Bundle up, but keep your swimsuit on outside your pants."

Number 3...

This goes to comic. Whenever I need a reminder of why Teen Girl Sqaud is funny, I watch this. A girl e-mails TBC hoping for a comic or short toon, and instead it gets SBemail'd. The part that makes me laugh the most is when we first see them. Imagine sending this, and seeing you and your friends describes as "cheerleader," "so and so," "whats her face," and "the ugly one." This definitely deserves third place.

Second tries!

The second best one is DEFINITELY kids' book. I need to say nothing about it.

But the best Strong Bad e-mail ever from before haircut is...

LITTLE QUESTIONS!

Someone from Sweden e-mails Strong Bad saying... something.. and Strong Bad makes fun of it in one of the best e-mails ever. Even my dad, who knows nothing at all about anything related to Homestar Runner cracked up watching this.

Lesse. I believe that my first favorite was "I love you". Or maybe it was "Brianrietta". It's so hard to remember! I also remember really enjoying "Sisters", "Dragon", and "Japanese Cartoon".

Looking back, my favorite classic is "Sisters". We get to see the "hopeful for a lay" aspect of Strong Bad's personality. I happen to believe that this is a very important character aspect.

Well, it's very true-to-life.

It was pretty good. I liked the part where Strong Sad decides to move out because his brothers are so weird.

"Date" and "Theme Park" are among my all time favourites...the hilarious "effected" Mike-voiced Homestar and Marzipan in the "Extra Real Dating Sim XR" had me laughing for, not even joking, an hour. So funny.
And something about "Theme Park" really gets me, it just makes me smile. I realise that it's after #100, though, so I'll save it.
now experience the fury of *chk* "Different Town", a classic of classics. I remember the late night when I was up surfing the web when it got posted....oh, good times. I liked it so much I sent TBC a big appreciation email. Was the music track by TMBG? It's a bit too sophisticated-sounding to be played by TBC. Not that TBC's music is bad by any means...it's part of the H*R experience!
