Seriously, "Joe Torre fired" doesn't seem right at all.
I tells ya, it's the 70's and 80's all over again for the Yanks.

No for it to be the 70's and 80's, Torre would have to be a drunk, he would have to get hired and fired 5 times(twice at the hiring press conference) and you need the Son of Sam running around.

And it's 1995 all over again for the Rockies...except they're in the NLCS, and playing a team that didn't even exist then.

1 game down!

There's still a lot of games to play. don't be counting your eggs before they hatch.

Actually, if I could just get a time machine and prevent Bartman from ever going to that game, I'd be worlds happier.

That was the funniest collapse I've ever seen, even if not for the whole Billy Goat curse, which made it all scarier and funnier yet.

"Colorado Rockies in the World Series" seems so wrong to me...

Why couldn't the Cubbies have made it?

Indians win ALCS : Go Indians! I've always had more of a soft spot for the Indians...they're always my alternate team when I do franchise mode in video games. I love that team.

Oh, and Ian...thanks for getting rid of the D-Backs.

Ok so the Rockies are in the World Series. Now comes the hard part. Whoever the Rockies get in the WS is going to be one of the two best teams in the league. Boston and Cleveland were tied for best record in the MLB. One more thing is that you will be heading to either title starved Cleveland or the Hostile Confines of Fenway. Plus you will no longer be facing the NL, but the vastly superior AL. Good luck.

No offense, BTG, but your track record about sports this fall isn't so great.

Rockies win it all.

OK, who wants to make a bet with me? Loser has to use an avatar of the winner's choice from the final game until Thanksgiving.

Stupid Rockies. Well, not really, they kinda deserve it, but I am still mad they beat the Diamondbacks. Irefuse to look at them now.

So the Sox are down 3-1. With any other team I would call this series over, but thanks to 2004, I can't say Boston is done until the final out.

Knock it off children.

I'm kinda peeved that Boston's down like this. Though it won't be the end of the world for me.

Other than Notre Dame actually winning a game before November, what else you got?
