Geez, it's only Game 1. But let's see Boston play at a mile high in October.

Boo Sox!!!!

The only thing good about the Red Sox is that their fans hate the Yankees.

Actually, you know what, that's probably reason enough to cheer for them.

If Boston plays like this in Denver, it's going to be a short series.

WHOOOOO

Red Sox are tying/breaking all kinds of records tonight. It's 13-1 and they're finally done batting.

You're lucky you didn't bet they'd sweep the Sox, Ian, or I'd be coming up with something quite devious for you to be displaying as your avatar.

Well, although the air's thinner here, that makes the balls dry up and harden quickly. And as Halloween approaches, it starts getting snowy.

Hey Ian, guess where Matt Holiday's home town is. ;) Yup, that's right, Stillwater, OK. Right where I live. :D

I haven't been to Stillwater in a while. It's a little ways over there, but it's fun to take a trip every few years to go to Eskimo Joe's (or Mexico Joe's).

It will be if you lose Game 2.

Woah, I forgot you live in OKC kef. Personally, I've never been to Eskimo Joe's, since it's mainly a bar. But Mexico Joe's is good. ;)

Hey, Boston has to come here for three games. If the Rockies can win tonight, they'll lock it up at home.

It's not over, so in the words of Matt Foley, "Shut your big YAPPER!"

That's what Cleveland thought too, and look what happened to them. You're forgetting about Josh Beckett. ;)

If the Sox win tonight, they'll have a huge advantage overall, because they know they can blow all three games if they really need to because they'll finish it off in Fenway.

Ian, if Boston's bat show up like the did last night, you are done. They made mince meat of you pitching staff last night. Tonight you get one of the best big game pitchers that I have ever seen. When Boston has needed a win from Schilling, he's delivered.

You're talking like I AM the Rockies, Gravy. Sheesh. It's just a game.

And Ian, you're sending out a rookie out to face him. Can you really say you have 100% confidence in this kid to out-pitch one of the most clutch playoff pitchers of all time?

Not for the Boston Red Sox and the state of Massachusetts, it's not.

You keep acting like you want to debate baseball. I'm going to talk baseball.

It'd be serious business for you too if you had gotten nothing for 86 years straight and now have an annually contending team. ;)

Is it just me or do the Rockies not know how to end an inning.

Amen.
As much as I want the Rockies to win this, I just know in my heart that last night prefaced the entire series.

I just hope it goes more than four games. Sweeps are boring...I want as much baseball as I can get.

Yeah, I wanna see some actual competition here. The Rox will come back to win tonight, then win all 3 at home. Give the underdogs a chance, will ya?

It's hard to root for the underdog when you are facing a team that was an underdog for 86 years.

Hey, I never said your team can't do it. I just know that they are outmatched, and they have a lot of ground to make up if they want to catch up to the Sox' potent offense.

Ian, just as advice, you should probably keep your mouth shut, if you want to avoid crow. This is baseball. Being at home isn't going to guarantee anything for your Rockies.

Well, they just took Schilling out. Let's see where this goes.

Tell Gravy to shut his mouth too, then. He loves to be an enemy.

He's being as civil as he can be. Tell that to a die-hard Sox fan, and you're dead.

EDIT: And it's also not very good when they take out Schilling for Okajima. They've both been unhittable in the playoffs.

Whatever. It's not like we're betting for money on this.

Gad, I wonder who Fox is rooting for. They replay the same crap 5 times per inning after it happens, then plays fanfare when Schilling goes out.
