I'm pretty sure we have this around somewhere. Or maybe not. (And please, for the love of Homestar, take a hint from Strong Bad's grammar/spelling CD and learn to spell stuff correctly.)

Anysways, to comment on your predictions: Strong Bad as Solid Snake actually seems believable. Kind of.

King of Town as Snorlax? That would be awesome, and it does seem likely.

Pom Pom as...ahem, "elephent mam"? I don't see it. And if you're talking about THAT elephant man...*shudders*

Bubs as Pointy-Haired Boss? YES. That's all I'm saying on the subject.

Well, I was actually hoping to hold off another costumes possibility thread until at least January, but since we decided not to wait, I figured, "What the heck?"

I actually have not one, but TWO sets of contemplations for the characters' Halloween costumes. Each sets has its own set of actual pictures to show what they would look like (I have them both on my user page, too; I'm that obsessed with the H'ween toons):

Set One:
Image
:hr: as Ferris Bueller
:sb: as Gene Simmons
:cheat: as The Great Gazoo
:sm: as Derek Jeter (from the NY Yankees)
 as Sean Nelson (from the band Harvey Danger)
:pom: as Norm Peterson (George Wednt's character on "Cheers")
:marzi: as Liz Simcock (a British folk singer)
:coachz: as Darryl "DMC" McDaniels
:bubs: as Mr. T
:kot: as Franken-Berry
:poop: as a Cyberman
:homsar: as Garth Algar
And I think that for this list above, there should be a second Easter egg besides Homsar (like Stinkoman in 2003's H'ween toon "3 Times Halloween Funjob"). I'm thinking...
:senor: as Apu Nahasapeemapetilon

Set Two:
Image
:hr: as Harold Green
:sb: as J. R. Ewing (Larry Hagman's character on "Dallas")
:cheat: as Potato Chip Popple
:sm: as E. Honda
 as Gary Brolsma
:pom: as Ralph Kramden
:marzi: as Judy Jetson
:coachz: as Ice Cube
:bubs: as Eddie (from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show")
:kot: as Bill Bailey
:poop: as Dr. Hans Reinhardt
:homsar: as Waldo (of "Where's Waldo?" fame)

Interesting, no?

You guys know that since you posted these, the chance that they will be the ones used will be drastically reduced.

You know, maybe Strong Sad should be the Elephant Man. He's been compared to an elephant on more than one occasion. He has even been called the Elephant Man once.

SEAN'D! wrote:

Not necessarily. At one point, someone on the 2007 Halloween costumes thread suggested that Homestar be Artie the Strongest Man In the World. And when the 2007 Halloween toon finally came out, whom should Homestar happen to dress up as but Artie the Strongest Man In the World!

So just 'cause we thought up ideas for costumes doesn't automatically mean that they won't be seen on the website. Yes, it's probable they won't be used, but it's definitely possible that they might be. It may not be probable, but it's certainly possible.

What I want to know is: how did Homestar escape from the painting?

Here's my theory of what happened:

[Scene opens: Homestar sits in painting with the Rocoulm]

Homestar: Ew, this tea tastes like paint. Anyway, you have to let me go, I'm the strongest man in the world.

Horrible Painting: Homestar, you aren't even the strongest man in this painting.

Homestar: Wow, you really do belong to Strong Bad. That reminds me, is it-

Horrible Painting: No, it's not eternity yet.

Homestar: Just checking...how about now?

Horrible Painting: No.

Homestar: Now?

Horrible Painting:No. Oh man, the curse was even worse than I had heard...

Homestar: Okay, according to my invisible watch on my invisible arm...the big hand is on the five and the little hand is on eternity...that means I can go, right?

Horrible Painting: I just remembered why I never have guests...

Homestar: Okay, the setting sun is reflecting off that urinal in your kitchen...that means it's eternity, doesn't it?

Horrible Painting: No!

Homestar: Then how about now?

Horrible Painting: No!!

Homestar: How about now?

Horrible Painting: No!!

[the Rocoulm check his watch]

Horrible Painting: Oh wait, now it is.[/b]

So... Does anyone want to give me money so I can fly to Atlanta and picket outside the Brothers Chaps' office?

And I've just also decided to revise both above lists by picking and choosing some of the costumes from the pics I made. I have decided to have...

I think they mean "decided".

Anyway, I've noticed that the Poopsmith always dresses up as a fictional character, usually science fiction related, so I don't think he'd be Einstein.

Yeah, I believe the Poopsmith is one of the several characters whose Halloween costumes follow a trend (in this case, a sci-fi character). Other characters who follow trends in their costumes include, but are probably not limited to: Coach Z (a black (that is, African-American) rapper) and The Cheat (a cartoon (or at the very least, animated) character).

Stuff that should happen

- Bubs and Coach Z go on a wild Halloween adventure as they try to find something to do
- Everybody gets lost in a corn maze maybe?

How about the characters being spooked by the ghosts of old electronics on the website, including those of Strong Bad's two old computers and Marzipan's old answering machine, among them. In fact, I will start a script for that one soon...

Only the Tandy's spirit was seen. I'm talking about ALL of the old/discarded/replaced electronics in the H*R line of work, not just SB's computers.

Okay, it seems we're having a little difficulty understanding the old/discarded/replaced electronics. You did mention the Tandy, Compy and the Printer, but here are some others:

Marzipan's old Answering Machine
Tangerine Dreams (The Cheat's old computer)
The Telebision
The TV from the old Lava Lamp Toons menu
Jam Box
Ghetto Blastro

What do you think?

I don't know. I only did the pictures 'cause I just wanted to see what they'd look like. That, and I had some time on my hand.

Hey, I know how we can do a 2008 Halloween toon: by doing it create-a-story style, where one person adds a few lines at a time and then another person does such like that and so on. Your mission here is to add a few lines by the characters to keep the toon going, taking care to have the end in mind. And be sure to keep in the proper context.

Now... let the script-writing begin!

Okay, I'll start the proceedings here. Before I begin, however, here are the costumes worn by the respective characters:

:hr: as Ferris Bueller
:sb: as Gene Simmons
:cheat: as Potato Chip Popple
:sm: as E. Honda
 as Sean Nelson (from the band Harvey Danger)
:pom: as Norm Peterson
:marzi: as Judy Jetson
:coachz: as Darryl "DMC" McDaniels
:bubs: as Eddie (from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show")
:kot: as Franken-Berry
:poop: as Dr. Hans Reinhardt
:homsar: as Waldo

Granted, I did mention this already earlier in the thread, but I felt that it was worth repeating so that people understood what the costumes were for this toon.

Okay, I'll start the toon here...

(The toon starts. It's nightfall and Homestar and Pom Pom are walking along in their respective costumes. Homestar is holding a trick-or-treat bag (identical to the one Marzipan had in "The House That Gave Sucky Treats"), Pom Pom is holding a pumpkin-shaped bucket (similar to the one Bubs had in "3 Times Halloween Funjob").)

:hr: Well, Pom Pom, ol' buddy, looks like we're off on another adventure... into the unknown... to seek out our fortune and glory. We're not taking no crap from nobody... NOTHING from nobody, we're on the...

(Pom Pom looks bored. The camera pans away from the duo and across the night sky where, to Halloween-type music, the credits roll (first the title, followed by "Yet another Halloween-style cartoon" and then "By the same people who ALWAYS made these types of toons, in case you don't know, which you should by now."). After the credits are finished, the camera comes to Strong Bad, Strong Mad and The Cheat, all in their respective Halloween costumes, standing behind the Stick. A carton of eggs is sitting nearby.)

:sb: Okay, The Cheat, so let me get this straight: the plan is to just... JUMP Homestar and Pom Pom and egg the ever-loving crap out of them with the eggs I got from Bubs? And then while they're distracted we swipe all their candy and split?

:cheat: Meh (as if saying, "Yeah").

:sb: That, my friend, has got to be the best plan I ever heard of. Oops, get down, boys, here they come now.

(Strong Bad and his posse duck down behind the Stick.)

All right, that's where I'll stop. Now you can pick up where I leave off. Have fun!
