An ace tater ship?

(I'd draw a picture combining an ace of spades, a potato, and a boat, but I'm too lazy.)

Well, while this thread is back up and active again, we seem to have a new month all up on us. That means new mod group names, right?[/just throwing that out there]

sigh

In short, yes, because this forum is intended for the tiniest of babies. It makes me cringe to be backing up people with the thinnest of skins sometimes, but it's just the way this place is supposed to be. *shrug*

Just remember that you don't really know the people here. It's not a good idea to take such informal tones that can come across as insults when you don't know people well enough. That's what I meant by "certain people to certain people" was OK though. SI people messing with SI people (as long as none of the other rules are broken) is OK because we know there's no offense there. Just keep in mind who you're talking to.

As for Ace, he was joking with Ido up there, who didn't seem offended (if he was, Ido, being a mod, could've deleted it or taken it up with an admin himself)

Wait, we're changing the names? Darn, I liked them.

If we do change them on a certain schedule, I say we keep each name for at least 4 months (I say 6, but 4 would be find too). There's only so many good names, and making the changes farther apart makes it more "special". Every month is just too soon.

I think this thread itself shows that nothing is ever set in stone :P

But if people want one month, that's fine. Just throwing my thoughts out there

You just want to keep these names.

I can go ahead and start a poll. Just because I don't think anyone knows excatly how long the intervals are.

Not really. I mean, they're cool, but they're not awesome. I just think changing them so often will get old.

Now that I've read the last page and saw what the fuss was about, I agree fully.

Also, Ace, when you speak Profanity, you mean the dood over at fanboys? Right? If so, they do handle things nicely over there. On the other hand, that's a different forum entirely, but they do handle it nicely.

He means Profanity from the Fanboys forum.

Which I haven't gone to in forever.

Aight, cool. That's what I thought.

And yeah, I thought I hadn't seen you around there.

Nah, I haven't joined yet. I'm just a die-hard lurker wherever I go. Hecks, I lurked here around eight months before I actually joined. I might join over there, just so I can actually say things in response every once in a while ^^;;

I my self, disagree with this. The mods are mods because they are mature and don't do anything offensive and know where their limits are.
It is true they don't have all the power, for if you don't agree with them,
you can just leave the forum. Nobody's stopping you! Another thing,
this is an Internet board, not an entire country. There for, there is no
need for a democracy. There are also plenty of people on the internet who would vote for something that's bad for the forum if there was a
democracy on the forum. Which is why the good, considerate people(not me, as you can tell) are the Mods and Admins. Once again, if
you don't agree with the mods/admins, you can just leave, no one's stopping you. Okay, I think I've made my point.

You're about two months too late, and two months too wrong.

I don't know about the "too wrong" part. I'll probably never be convinced that any action was actually necessary, and that the actions that we took really did much of anything.

Sorry to be an HHFOV but therefore is one word and therefore your whole theory is wrong.

Yeah, he's a mod at the Fanboys Forum. He's a jerk if you tick him off but danged if he doesn't get the job done.
