Yay, McCain won South Carolina and Huckabee got second. But I'm kinda nervous that Romney's winning by projected delegates; I can't vote for a man who wants to double the size of Gitmo and keep both FBI wiretaps and the "three strikes" sentencing laws.

So it was a Hillary-Romney win in Nevada, right?

I'm not sure. I saw something where Obama had more delegates from Nevada than Hillary.
CNN wrote:
Although Clinton won the overall state vote, Obama took more delegates because of the areas where he won. CNN projects that Obama will pick up 13 delegates to Clinton's 12.

Sounds like she won the popular vote, but not the whatchacallit delegate vote.
Get ready for the waterworks.

Also, How did Ron Paul beat McCain?!?! Isn't he the republicans' version of Dennis Kucinich?

It's Nevada, they're pretty libertarian I'd think.

That makes sense.

Still, I would think McCain and Paul would be your top two there, as they're both more libertarian than Romney. (Then again, Romney's "unconventional" religious nature might play well there).

*By "unconventional, I mean that he's a Mormon. Not putting Mormons down, I'm just saying that there are a LOT of people who don't understand what being a Mormon means, so it might seem all mysterious and cool.

You're thinking.
That's not allowed in politics.
Get back to work.

:-)

I didn't even think of that... As a holder of a B.S. in Geography, I think I need to see someone after class.

Exactly.
The greatest college basketball coach in history had something to say about degrees... Funny thing, though, his players all get them.

Anyone else live in a state that doesn't matter in the primaries?
I figure that, after Super Tuesday, any state that votes will be wasting their time/money.

Colorado's just east of Utah, & I can safely say that we're not voting for Romney.

In Boulder they're probably gunning for Paul, and in Colorado Springs for Huckabee. I'm guessing McCain and Obama are the front runners.

If either party were smart, they would have named Obama or McCain as their candidate months ago.

Neither candidate has an opponent in his respective party that is as likely to get votes from "the other side".

I dunno, Huckabee and McCain have been fighting pretty well in a few states. SC was a close finish.

So I've taken about four different quizzes to see who I best fit.

First one: Paul 1st, Edwards 2nd, Huckabee 3rd.
Second: Huckabee 1st, Richardson 2nd, Giuliani 3rd.
Third: Paul 1st, Clinton 2nd, Huckabee 3rd.
Fourth: Huckabee 1st, McCain and Paul tied 2nd.

First and third. I took it twice.
Second.
Fourth.

First/third - Edwards/Obama tie, Mike Gravel/Hillary tie, Dennis Kucinich
Second - Hillary Clinton, Mike Gravel, John McCain
Last - Kucinich/Obama/Gravel tie, Edwards/Hillary tie, Rudy

So I'm an Edwards/Obama/Gravel/Clinton/Kucinich supporter.

Second one: John McCain, Duncan Hunter, Rudy
First one: John McCain, which is probably good since I voted for him already.

Rupp had another good saying, too. "That's the way the ball bounces."

And yes, I live in the State of Kentucky, where primaries don't matter...at all.

Actually, I was talking about Bobby Knight (blasphemy, I know, for someone from Kentucky).

Our Secretary of State is working on a way to move up our primary (for the next time, anyway), but he's hitting a LOT of resistance, for some reason.

Obama should remind democrats that the last time a Clinton held office, we got 8 years of George Bush... Then again, someone should have warned republicans 8 years ago that the last time a Bush was in office, we got 8 years of Clinton...

Also, Fred Thompson dropped out today.
To me, he never really appeared that interested in winning, anyway.

We're at that point, I think. "Mid-major" candidates will begin dropping out and throwing their supporters behind the leading candidate most like them. With almost enough delegates up for grabs in 2 weeks for candidates to nearly ensure their nominations, I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two more drop out in the next week or so.
Perhaps that's what Hillary Clinton's "secret meeting" with John Edwards after last night's debate was about (they're losing votes to each other that could be used in beating Obama).

Whites conspiring to take a brother out, sounds like.

I call next drop out: Mike Gravel.

I took one of the quizzes that Ian linked to above (the first/third one). I got Dennis Kucinich as the first result, which fits because he's basically the candidate I would support if a) I was of voting age, b) he had more than a snowball's chance in hell of getting through the primaries, and c) his political opinion wasn't made invalid in the public eye because lol he looks liek and elf.

Between Edwards, Obama and Clinton... well, Edwards, but since Edwards has no chance of becoming president either, I'll take Obama.

I can't stand Edwards because of his butt-chin. I just can't do it.

Doesn't Kucinich believe he was abducted by aliens? Or is that just a common misconception?

I wonder how long Ron Paul's going to stay in the game. He's won about five delegates, but it doesn't look good for him unless he runs on the Libertarian ticket. Then just maybe he'll be more than a blip on the radar.

I don't get why Ron Paul can't do better campaigning, considering he has more money for his campaign than, say, Obama.
