The premise is ultra simple: Everyone puts in or suggests a song of their choice and I make a mixtape/playlist out of them. I'll hunt down said songs or you can send them to me. Once everyone's contributed a song (or we're tired of waiting) I'll zip or rar the whole thing together and put it up on my ultra-private server.

Try to include something new and interesting. Something other people probably haven't listened to before.

Code:
1)  "Brains!"                                    ----   Voltaire
2)  Salty Eyes                                   ----   The Matches
3)  Paradigm Shift                               ----   Liquid Tension Experiment
4)  Rocky Mountain Way                           ----   Joe Walsh
5)  One Eye Open                                 ----   The Konks
6)  Living A Boy's Adventure Tale                ----   A-Ha
7)  Unlimited Breadsticks, Soup and Salad Days   ----   Bomb the Music Industry!
8)  The Velocity of Love          ----   The World/Inferno Friendship Society
9)  Five Lessons Learned               ----   Swingin' Utters
10) Pull Me Under                                ----   Queenadreena
11) Sagacity Gone                                ----   Tim Barry
12) Chalkdust Torture                            ----   Phish (http://hard2reed.com/music/06%20Chalkdust%20Torture.mp3)

We need an independent band on here. I know your first impressions on The Matches weren't too keen, Mike, but give this song a chance.

Salty Eyes by the afformentioned band, The Matches.

Paradigm Shift - Liquid Tension Experiment

I'm not a huge metal fan, but oooh maaan is this song great. Probably obscure enough that most people haven't heard it, either.

(alternitively: anything from Battles. Tonto and Atlas are my favorites.)

I don't think you're being consistent with the order…

If we're trying to get stuff people haven't heard, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest "The Velocity of Love" by The World/Inferno Friendship Society. Very unique band, unlike anything else I've heard.

or
Daniel Johnston - You Put My Love out the Door

Let's seriously keep this down to more obscure stuff.

Ah. I guess I got the band's name mixed up with the song title.

From now on, when you suggest a song, go Song Title: Song Title Artist: Band Name
And you'll probably have to correct me now.

Can you change my song with "Shame on a Nigga" by the Wu Tang Clan?

[url="http://homepage.mac.com/daved5/sff_take_1.mp3"]Song: Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 1)
Artist: The Beatles[/url]

Sounds nothing like the final version. Something about the spareness of this cut draws me to it.

...Why is the link being retarded?

Whatever. You guys know how to copy and paste.

You're not supposed to put quotations in url codes, nor are you supposed to start a new line.

Supposed to be:

Song: Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 1) Artist: The Beatles

:)
