Grave, shut up.

And no, Amani Toomer does nothing, but he still has a cocky attitude. Plax can be as cocky as he wants, he caught a Super Bowl winning touchdown.

I dunno...there's a huge argument for Marino being the best QB ever, and...I can't remember, did he ever win a championship?

That's a specific player, Ace. There's a lot of things that can define the greatness of a single player, and his off-the-charts stats are what merit the argument. I think that he's not the greatest of all time because he didn't win a Super Bowl, but he definitely deserves to be in the conversation.

We're talking about teams here, and in the end, there's only one thing that defines a team's greatness.

And they lost.

Hahahaha. And just after you talked about being ticked off at people trying to talk football.

Besides, read your football history books.

EDIT: Nice, bwave.

I would personally say the 49ers or Cowboys. 5 Super Bowls, lots of talent when they won them.

In a single year? Probably the '85 Bears.

Over a span of time? '70's Steelers.

Well, over a span of time it's any 49ers team, except the ones following 1999.

In a year, I would agree that it's the '85 Bears.

Amani is one of the leaders of the team. He actually caught more passes than Plax did the entire post season. Whenever they need a key catch at the right time, they threw it to Toomer.

Oh and for best team ever, the 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers.

I think Burress is a punk...I saw that Green Bay game. The jawing was shameful. Just like with Philip Rivers.

Not to say there aren't people on the Pats who don't do that. Case in point: my man Rodney Harrison.

Best team ever? My pick is the '85 Bears.

Buress is a punk. But he's more consistent than Toomer, so he can talk crap to his heart's content.

Yes, the Philip Rivers incident was completely uncalled for. Especially since Volek won them the game, not Rivers. I didn't see Plax in the Green Bay game, so I won't comment on that.

Let's see, best team ever...I'd probably go with the Steelers in the 70's. Steel curtain.

Philip Rivers is a tremendous jerk who rarely gets anything done. He's worse than Plax and Toomer. I don't care if he beat the Colts in the playoffs. He's a jerk and it's Tomlinson and his receivers that make him.

I'd also like to say that, for those of you who are glad the Patriots lost, please don't make it because of Spygate. Look, the Patriots cheated, and they got caught. Did cheating help them? Not really. Would they have won those games anyway? Probably. Should it take away from what they did this season? No. And I don't think it's fair to say the Patriots choked. They played a good game, they just got outplayed and got beat down. Saying they choked takes away from the Giants accomplishment, and it takes away from the great game the Pats played.

I agree completely. All NFL teams do that anyways, Goodell was just looking for controversy to foist on New England. No sarcasm intended.

Actually, I see no difference here. The Pats had a record-shattering season. Why is it they will never even be in the discussion? It's the same situation. Unbelievably awesome but didn't win the big game.

And they most certainly would have won the Spygate game. They were playing the Jets, who are pitiful.

I still think this years' Patriots are the best in a long time. Best ever? It's hard to say.
They DID only lose one game, and it was pretty close. Regardless, I congratulate the Giants on their win AND congratulate the Patriots on one of the best seasons EVER.

What I want to know is: "Have two brothers ever won back to back Super Bowl MVPs?"

The Packers will win next year.
As for Plaxico in the Packers game, I only ask why he couldn't play like that all those years I had him on my fantasy football team?

Also, you people wanting Coughlin fired must feel pretty silly right now.

No it's not because of spygate. I've never liked the Pats.

I do think that spygate will come to a head very soon and it may not be pretty.

I don't know what Goodell is doing with Spygate. When it first happened he was really angry, but he spent the entire last week defending the Pats.

The Giants defense won that game. They never let Brady get set. Eli came through big too. He outshone the best quarterback in the game on the grandest stage of them all. He finally has something that he can put over his brother. He is finally out of his brother's shadow.

He defended the Pats because the matter was settled as far as he was concerned.

the sad part about all of this is that the media is going to focus more on that than the result.

Goodell is an idiot supreme, and I'm starting to think he's worse than Selig. He can't do anything right, and uses bias and favoritism to destroy teams he "doesn't like"

The biggest thing that the government can do is revoke the NFL's Anti-Trust exemption.

I wouldn't go THAT far.

Ol' number 4 was watching the game from Hattiesburg.

Yes. I'm just like John Madden (or at least Frank Caliendo's John Madden).

Has anyone ever said the 1998 Vikings were one of the best ever? Whoever wins the Super Bowl is the best team that season. That's the very definition of a championship. How can the Patriots be the best team of all time if they weren't even the best team this season?

Also, that Coke commercial with the cartoon balloons was AWESOME. Charlie Brown thoroughly PWNS Stewie.

Like with Pacman. I know he isn't the best person in the world, but the only thing he has been found guilty of so far is a misdemeanor. Yet he has seemingly been Goodell's favorite target since he came into office. Gawd I miss Taglibue.
