I'm sure this will get deleted but, even though we can't see it, there's an entry for "Buried" under New Stuff on the Toons menu currently. Most likely the new Strong Bad email. Description: What secrets does the Strong Badian dirt hold?

It's up. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail191.html

Poor Rich...the first official Strong Badian casualty.

And I WANT that Taranchula metal detector.

Even though hardly any ground was covered in this email, it was quite good. I lol'd at Sven from Taranchula when he said anything: "That's right, Sven. Learn to speak American." :-D

3.5/5

Oh, Man, the Cheat...that was Awesome! The Taranchula metal detector, an allusion to The Mother Strong (sorta) and I'll reiterate my contention that "shut up lady" should get a character credit, even though she's in an EE. It's the first time someone other than Strong Bad tells her to shut up as well. and did anyone else think that the fossil on the lower right looked like Homeschool Winner? so Grade, A+!!!

Best sbemail I've seen in long time. Where to start?

Love the metal detector, as well as the reference to the old Nickelodeon game shows that gave away metal detectors as prizes.

Strong Bad has some good lines:
"... and booby traps we can steal ideas from!"
"Well, let's DO DIIIISSSS!!!"
"And it's not all wipes and montages like in the movies."
"Why, it staggers the bad imagination."
(among others ...)

The alien bit was a riot, and Strong Sad was absolutely awesome.

I was a bit meh at first about this one, but it definitely got better as it went along. I loved that metal detector, I need to get my hands on one of those. Also, apparantly tentacle-bubs is back, although his arms seemed just a liiiittle bit different in such a way that someone who analyzes animation way too much would notice.

The thing that made me laugh the most was this little nugget at the end. Did anyone else notice this? Behold:

Homeschool is dead. Long live homeschool!

Poll added, because that's how I roll.

And then I voted 3/5, because that is also, again, how I roll.

Yeah, I enjoyed it, especially for the Taranchula cameos, and the awesome metal detector (dormit, I just realised I've ALWAYS wanted one of those). The Cold Ones Dry easter egg made me seriously lol.

Is it just me, or does Strong Bad act unusually stupid this email? Come to think of it, he acted a lot like Homestar (!). Or maybe I just overestimate SB's cynicism.

Personally, I'm getting real sick of that "Shut up, lady" thing, which I never really got in the first place, but whatever. Decent email, just a little too short, and almost unfocused at times 3 out of 5.

HA!! I didn't notice that! Thanks for pointing that out XD!! That's pretty funny!

Anyway, yeah this sbemail was alright. It was fun watching them "dig" but it just doesn't quite live up to Winter Pool, Fan Clubs, and Pet Show. sooo 3/5 stars. Pretty average to me :)

I also don't like that "shut up lady!" thing. I thought that Strong Sad was at his meanest in this email. That was cool.

I laughed out loud when Bubs implied that thing about Rich. Seems that, just as Cardgage keeps getting creepier, Bubs keeps getting shadier...

Heh, got lots of abridged series Bandit Keith vibes from the "Learn to speak American" line. Pretty sure that's a direct quote of one of Keith's lines... wonder if it could be a reference. ;)

Also the "Shut up, lady." definitely got old after the second time.

Lol, I love the metal detector too. I too want a metal detector that plays music instead of crackling. =O

It was cool. I liked the "kids game show consolation prize". Reminded me of all the stupid consolation prizes they gave on Nickelodeon game shows. Sneakers? Come on! I truly agree how hard archaeology is, as I've been told many times and even had to drop college classes because they were confusing. 5/5

An average e-mail. Still infinitely better than "licensed." The "Kids' Game Show consolation prize" thing was hysterical! And an appearance from Schenkel McDoo! That was the best part of the e-mail. Strong Sad was a lot meaner than usual, but he was funny.

I'm getting so ridiculously sick of KOT easter eggs though. I've just about come to predict one in every e-mail. And the "shut up, lady" thing isn't funny enough to justify repetition.

A pretty entertaining piece on Strong Bad finding out the hard way that archeology is neither as easy nor as exciting as in the movies. Then again, the SB is no Indiana Jones, but I digress...

Bub's shady business was amusing (Rich, and the barrels of "inTOXICatingly good WASTE"), as well as Strong Sad's running commentary on Strong Bad's "discoveries" ("Is there any way I can unhear the last few sentences? Or years of my life?").

Does this happen to be strange seeing how it's one day after Dr.Seuss' birthday? And that today is Read Across America day?

Is it worth mentioning in Bubs' page that he killed someone? Or at least buried a corpse.

And yeah, c'mon Brothers Chaps. The Shut Up, Lady! is lame.

Good, loved the the Strong Sad line  :"any way i can forget the last few sentences? Or years of my life?"
And don't hate the Shut Up Lady!

Bubs and his Toxic waste and 'Rich' was great. Don't hate me, but I don't care about about the Homeschool Whiner scull. I just don't care :-| .

I really didn't like this one. They tried way too hard to be funny by saying stupid words. Especially freakin Strong Sad. I just want to kill that guy sometime.

The only things I thought were funny were the Metal Detector that played metal music, and the box filled with peas at the end. Oh, and that end announcer. That guy's voice always cracks me up.

2/5 :-|

meh... it was okay. the strong sad "me again" thing was sort of funny, but that map thing at the end seemed tacked on and stupid. Also, as soon as i heard the email in the first place, i knew sort of that it would be... mediocre? I dunno... It just seems like now, the bros chaps are just taking strange situations and inserting strong bad and friends in.

I'd probably hate this comment if someone else wrote it. It's sort of... hatery, but... you know...

Nah, he's been that way for a while.

Liked this one. I think it's cute that Strong Mad drew that picture of Strong Bad when he was a baby, and Strong Sad's voice of reason was quite funny.

Homeschool is dead. Long live homeschool!

That's not Homeschool! That's some sort of common armless whitely ancestor who happens to look like Homeschool! Look at how deep he's buried! Even deeper than Rich! [/denial] I've just got this weird love for this character who has no personality and never did anything, and I don't know where it came from. I didn't have it a month ago.

So that's the second Homeschool sighting in the past week, the other being in the last sketchbook. Back in your day, you were lucky to get one in two years, right? Weird.

Oh-em-gee...5/5! I seriously lol'd at the Taranchula metal detector, Bubs's implied murder, and Strong Sad's wit.

I was just thinking the same thing! (pretends not to go into a Bandit Keith fangirling fit)
