Liked this one. I think it's cute that Strong Mad drew that picture of Strong Bad when he was a baby, and Strong Sad's voice of reason was quite funny.

Homeschool is dead. Long live homeschool!

That's not Homeschool! That's some sort of common armless whitely ancestor who happens to look like Homeschool! Look at how deep he's buried! Even deeper than Rich! [/denial] I've just got this weird love for this character who has no personality and never did anything, and I don't know where it came from. I didn't have it a month ago.

So that's the second Homeschool sighting in the past week, the other being in the last sketchbook. Back in your day, you were lucky to get one in two years, right? Weird.
hmmmmmm, you know, your right. there have been 2 sightings in 2 weeks. (or 1) could this possibly be like another DNA evidence! showing small sightins of homeschool until. He finally makes an appearance in an episode? and i noticed, that there was a mentioning of homeschool winers death....lets see if you can figure that out by urself. pretty obvious, i went to the hrwiki and it says there might be a connection. And those little bumps on the front are probably fosilized teeth or somthing.

What's your problem?

I think it's probably a coincidence, or at least not leading up to anything, but what homestar55 described would be really cool.

In case nobody noticed, the announcer at the end is the same one from email 182, so I've made a few changes in a few articles anonymously* so they show that there were two different announcers. Gosh, are there any announcer-type voices Matt can't do? Besides the lady-like ones?

*Anonymously because I had trouble logging in the wiki due to a temporarily weak Internet signal.

the black metal detector was a pretty good joke.

the email itself wasn't that funny, but it was still a good one.

I dunno, I liked  in this one, but everything else was - meh. Not complete crap, but not as funny as, say, "fan club" or "pizza joint." Or "web comics."

I also loved the Taranchula metal detector... hours of pointless fun can be had.

It could have used more Homestar.... in fact it could have used a little Homestar.

P.S. Don't mess with the boss :bubs: , or you will be wearing concrete galoshes!

*claps* Wow, homeschool winner's (possibly ancesstors) skeliton!

Taranchula is back, yah!

And i would love to get my hands on some of that intoxicatingly good waste! "oh that looks sinful"

Not an epic email, but worthy of praise.

Was I the only one confused by the picture of Senor Cardgage on "The Show" that had been on the wiki front page as a preview for this for most of the day? I have no idea where that picture is from.

At any rate, I thought the mail was okay. Only watched it twice thus far, though. I think most of these more recent ones will grow on me with time. We'll see. I gave it a 3/5.

Personally, I gave it a five. I'm growing to love Strong Sad more and more, I think he's starting to match my sense of humor ("Uh, me again." "Is there any way I can unhear those last few sentences...or the last few years of my life?"). Strong Bad was awesome, Bubs was pretty funny, Sven's accent owns, the announcer was pretty funny in the easter egg, and I still like "Shut up, lady!". All in all, I think it was most excellent. Again, 5'd.

The black metal detector was great! I love that it plays guitar riffs and then a solo when something is found.

Shady Bubs is always hilarious. I enjoyed the inTOXICatingly good WASTE and the disposal of a dead body.

of course, doesn't anyone find "Videolectrix KidX" a bit redundant when they already had "Kidelectrix"?

Is anyone else thinking that a Taranchula Black Metal Detector would be the most awesome thing ever?

Awesome. Just awesome. No other words could be used to describe it. Going through the e-mail chronologically, the best parts:
-Checking email with his... pants... Gwa?
-Awkward way of pronouncing "Pasquella"
-Black Metal Detec-TOR
-"And booby traps we can steal ideas from!"
-The music of the Detec-TOR
-"Uh, me again!"
-Star trek references FTW!
-Bubs will take what he can get.
-"What about fellas named Rich?"
-"Is there any way I can unhear those last few sentences? Or years of my life?"
-The references to Different Town, Candy Product, and Bottom Ten all at once! Some of the best ever all in one!
Very few things in life can get better than this, I must say.

It was alright, but it felt incomplete. I did like the whole Rich thing though.

Metal detecting just became several sorts of awesome.

By the way, when I read Ido Nos mentioning this
Capt. Ido Nos wrote:
... I loved that metal detector...
I came to a shocking realization; 'Detector' is a 'D' 'E' word as was made a big deal of in the Death Metal Sbemail.
Coincidence? I think not!

I was a bit meh at first about this one, but it definitely got better as it went along. I loved that metal detector, I need to get my hands on one of those. Also, apparantly tentacle-bubs is back, although his arms seemed just a liiiittle bit different in such a way that someone who analyzes animation way too much would notice.

The thing that made me laugh the most was this little nugget at the end. Did anyone else notice this? Behold:

Homeschool is dead. Long live homeschool!

Poll added, because that's how I roll.

And then I voted 3/5, because that is also, again, how I roll.

OH MY CHEESE! Homeschool Winner, dead? Homsar, Homestar, I have some bad news.

:hr: What is is?

Your cousin Homeschool is dead.

:hr: Who?

Y'know, the one in the blue shirt

:hr: Uh, he's standing right next to me.

:homsar: DaaaaAAAAaaaaah I'm a buttersilk pancake!

No! Homeschool Winner, from that Dancin' Bubs game.

:bubs: Wait, Homeschool Winner? I haven't seen him since the incident in the alleyway

What incident?

:bubs: Lets just say that Homeschool Winner real name is Rich

:hr: :homsar: ...

...

Well, that explains that
