I love you, Manny Ramirez.

I love it...his grand prize for being the game MVP is 1,000,000 yen, which compared to our lame inflation makes that a mere $10,000 here.

10 Grand is still 10 grand more than he had last week.

You have no shot. The Padres, D-Backs and Rockies are all bringing the same teams back and LA has improved. The Giants have gotten worse. You will finish stone dead last in your division.

No. They have not gotten worse. And in what ways have the the Padres, Diamondbacks, Rockies, and Dodgers improved? Besides "0mg Joe Torre dojer nao!!!!1"?

You lost got rid of Bonds. He was your offense.

I said that the Padres, D-Backs and Rockies are bringing the same teams back and considering how good they were last year, you're screwed. The Dodgers added Andruw Jones. He is a player that is capable of putting of excellent numbers and Joe Torre is finally back in his element. He is an NL manager.

You've got to beat the Mets first and I'd be shocked to see Johan Santana have an ERA over 2.50 in the weaker hitting NL.

Well, I don't think BTG is saying that the teams other than the Dodgers have gotten better.

And, other than Joe Torre (who COULD make a big difference; I still think Leyland may have been the biggest part in the Tiger's turnaround), the Dodgers have added Andruw Jones, Huroki Kuroda (new guy from Japan), and probably a bunch of young prospects I haven't heard of.

You're both wrong, the Red Sox are going to repeat as WS Champs.

The only ones I see beating them are the Tigers.

That I'm not really going to argue with, because I won't mind that either...but see, now they're beating the curse up relentlessly.

True, but he was replaceable, and replace him they did. And with a BARRY capable young stud. Not to mention they've got a great farm program in the Fresno Grizzlies, and they should get some great prospects from them as the year progresses.

The Giants are the humblest team in baseball. Where's their love?

Because there is nothing lovable about them.

The humblest team in baseball is the Cubs. Unless you are a Cardinals fan or a White Sox fan you have no reason to hate them. When you've gone a century without winning a World Series, yes folks it is a century, you have no choice to but to be humble.

And, aww heck, I'll say Chicago Cubs 2008 World Series Champions.

I'm expecting a lot from the Cubs this year. And by a lot I mean NL Wild Card.

Why? They are the best team in a really bad division. I think they will storm off with the NL Central.

Like I said unless you are from St. Louis or are a South Sider, you can't hate them.

Eh, possibly so. I'm positive that they'll at least win the NL Wild Card. Winning the Central I'm not sure about.

Just figured out why I didn't trade Chase Utley: he homered and had 2 RBI today.

Well, it looks like the Tigers are going to have bullpen problems again this year.

I'm not disappointed at all with the rest of the team (even Brandon Inge looks like he will fill in well for Curtis Granderson in center), but the relievers blew it again today. Seriously, we could've won 100+ games last year with a good bullpen.

Well, if the NL Central is as bad as last year, they might actually have an easier shot at that than the wild card...

Oh, wow. The Giants are awful. I hate to talk down to my team like that, but nobody can field, their pitching sucks, nobody hits, everyone make bad decisions, and for god's sakes, Bengie Molina isn't quick or strong enough to be a catcher!

They better do something, cause if they finish last in the West this year, I may start rooting for the A's. probably not, though.

My brother went to the Sox/Dodgers game at the Coliseum on Saturday. He had a lot of fun.

Abu, it's great you finally realized that the Giants are going to suck this year.
My predictions for the NL West:
1/2. Rockies/D-Backs
3. Dodgers
4. Padres
5. Giants

Yeah, the Padres aren't going to do so hot this year. I can just feel it.

I knew they were gonna suck all along. I'm just a thuperfan.

Also, Joe Nathan picked up the save tonight. That's good for my fantasy team.

Shame there isn't 11 of him, along with nine that can pitch. I swear, we never win opening day. ALL I ASK FOR IS A GOOD APRIL!!

A baseball team has 9 players in a starting lineup, not 11.

Pinch hitter/Pinch runner.

I'm not dense, I think about the welfare of my team.

I'm glad to see Peavy still pitching awesome. 7 IP of 3 hit ball. And mmmm, do I love shutouts. I think we 19 or 20 last year, so we're picking up right where we left off.
I'm going tomorrow night. Chris Young, my favorite pitcher ever.
