That was weird. The Couch Z part was good. With 3/5 being average(not 4/5 being average), it would be 2.5, which rounds up to 3.

For some reason, all I could think of when I watched this toon was Animorphs. I thought the Dwayne sound effect was pretty funny, and I can see a lot of possibilities with this shapeshifting things. They probably won't be explored in the toons, but the important thing is that I can see them.

Hooray for poking fun at superpowers! That was entertaining, I must say. The goofy limitations on Strong Bad's powers were amusing, though my fave was probably the twist on "turn into almost anyone". And of course, I love Strong Bad's choice of transforming sound effect: "DWAYNE!"

Are any of you having problems viewing the e-mail? Everytime I try to watch it, it gets stuck right when Coach Z is coming when Strong Bad is shapeshifted into the bottom half of Bubs. It stops right there. I tried watching it multiple times, but nothing seems to work.

"Back again, checkin' e-mails from my friends... I mean the stupid people who write to me!" best e-mail song ever (pardon my Simpsons Comic Store Guy) I love his lampooning of superpowers and the limitations thereof. Rabid The Cheat was good, as was Coach Z, Homestar wasn't in it enough, liked the randomness of the chessboard with whipped topping and a cherry (???) I pretty much laughed the whole time. A+!

The intro actually goes, "...I mean the stupid people that write me." When will he ever learn that "WHO" works better than "THAT" in a statement like this one!?! That's pretty much the only grammatical mistake ever made during 2007 and 2008, I bet.

Apart from my statement, I was still impressed. 10/10

I always felt bad for Zan, the Wonder Twin with the crap "Form of Various Watery Things!" power. Being carted to fight crime in a bucket by your sister who can turn into a sweet Eagle must be terribly emasculating.

You do realize that grammar is an arbitrary set of rules, right? ;)

I guess I do. Even my family verbally makes the same grammatical mistake once in a while. You must pardon my fussiness, though. I can be quite a stickler.

"That" is acceptable in either case. It's "which" that causes trouble.

Anydangway, wonderfully surreal and silly. Monty Python would be proud. The "shapeshifting into almost anyone" catch was just brilliant! The extra time spent making this one really paid off.

From a purely technical standpont, I really liked the waviness at the top of the screen when the tape is on pause. I'm not sure how they did that exactly, but it's a cool effect.

I've never liked the usage "write me", but I must concede that it makes sense along the same lines as "call me", "email me" etc. It just sounds wrong somehow though.

I enjoyed the email though. Only 8 to 200!

DWAYNE!! It wasn't laugh-out-loud funny, but it was really amusing. I loved the balloon animals!

And for all you grammar nitpickers posting...this isn't exactly the first grammatical error Strong Bad has ever made. He always speaks very casually. I think in this case, "people that write me" just rolls off the tongue more smoothly than "people who write me" does.

I liked it. Favorite parts:

-The rabid Cheat about to tear into Marzipan.

-"Oh Strong Bad! Oh Strong Bad, I'm coming to your computer desk to talk to you!"
"Oh crap! DWAYNE!"
"Oh. It's you again, scarf from Grandma! Never mind." (random ice cream on a chess board)

4/5

Pretty solid e-mail. My favorite parts were the "Dwayne" sound effect and The Cheat attacking Marzipan. I kind of expected the effect to be "shaheen" though.

I just loved this one. I don't know if its funny, or the fact that I haven't seen a SBemail in 3 weeks, but I loved it.

It was alright. A bit abstract but it could've been fleshed out a bit more. I wonder if below par emails will be the norm as too gear up for the excellent #200 that is on the horizon.

Finally, TBC are getting back to the funny emails! 5/5!
I liked when the balloon animal flew away and :cheat: attacked :marzi: . Classic.
I also guffawed at Coach Z saying "in my sweaty 'sweat-sweats' "

That was extremely weird, even for a SBEmail. We're talkin', like, sweet cuppin' cakes levels of weirdness right there.

My favorite part was Homestar entering with the chessboard sundae, then leaving with zero explanation of why he would concern Strong Bad with a chessboard sundae. Other good moments were SB lying on the floor with disgust at where his imagination went with the hundred-dollars bill, and the part at Bubs' stand near the end where the email basically starts making references to everything Strong Bad shapeshifted into previously.

All in all? Pretty wacky email! And a decent send-up of artificial restrictions on overpowered superpowers. I gave it a 3, but the prospect of a 4 did not go unconsidered.

Rabid The Cheat made me laugh harder than anything in a while for some reason.

The part where all of Strong Bad's transformations showed up was good, too.
