Ach. Poor Buccholz.

Ahh well, he'll get better as the season goes along.

How about Velez? It's his first year, and he's been stealing a lot of bases and hitting really well for the Giants. Too bad his team has no pitching.

Which is why he's been added to my lineup.

I know the Tigers are playing the Red Sox tonight tomorrow, but I really think their first win is coming. I think they just need to get away from home and play a tough team, so they can focus on winning and not impressing the fans.

The Red Sox are in kinda the same situation. They've been having a really tough time on the road. I think getting back to Fenway, back to their beloved Hitter's Park will do them a lot of good.

It could be worse, you could be a Tigers fan.

Phillies beat the Mets today. Hoo-RAH. Gotta love it, especially when its the final opening day at Shea Stadium. Take that and smoke it, Mets fans!

Hm, that's what happens when you take Aaron Rowand away from us! (shakes fist)

Aaron Rowand has been hurt. He hasn't started yet.

That's probably why we're losing.

Yay, we're finally 1-7. I guess my prediction came one day late. 154 more!

You should come to the Bay Area and see a Giants game. You'd feel better about the Tigers.

But knowing that the Giants are apparently comparable to the Tigers makes me feel better.

EDIT: Took a look at the fantasy standings. Thank god for good pitching, because thanks to it, I did really well last week. I'm the 2 seed as of now.

Ace, you look like you're having a struggle there.

I don't know why all my formerly Cy Young caliber pitchers decided to suck. Roy Oswalt, AJ Burnett...

And all my formerly awesome batters seem to want to crap out on me, too.

I just picked up Johnny Ceuto off waviers. This guy is good. In just two starts he has a 2.02 ERA and 18Ks in just 13 innings of work. Sounds like a worthy pick up to me.

Yeah, you kinda beat me to that.

Who is JobaRules08 in the fantasy league?

I believe he's a friend of BTG's. He's a Yankee's fan, so he's like my unofficial enemy or something.

He's a friend of ramrod and myself. He maybe a Yankees fan, but he knows his stuff. Last year a scout for the Blue Jays(Syracuse is home to Toronto's AAA team) offered to take him on as an apprentice.

Oh lawd! Ace and I are tied.

Woo, look at me go. And having acquired Howie Kendrick and starting Ryan Braun, it can only get better for me.

Yay.

Free agent acquisitions are good. And since the league is small, there's probably a lot of good players left on free agent. Hell, I just got Howie Kendrick from that list.

There are plenty of players I can take but I dunno if I want to drop the guys I have for them. I especially don't want to drop Ortiz and my pitchers because...come on. They can't do that badly all year.

Jake Peavy and John Smoltz are gods. Between them tonight, they have pitched 12.2 innings allowed 0 runs and have a combined 20Ks.

Sabathia's coming out of the lineup until he gets his crap together. Seriously. At least Beckett's bounced back.

Pitching is what's killing me right now.

Boo.
Padres and Rox played 22 innings last night. 22 innings. 22. Innings.
And we lost. Peavy threw 8 innings, with no runs allowed, and 11 Ks.

Bah! I got two Grade A Pitching performances last night and it did nothing to my score. It only made it closer in the stats.

Big night for my bats last night. I went from being down 10-1 to up 8-7. Whoo.

FRIGGIN PITCHING. If only I had switched Oswalt for Sabathia before Sabathia gave up all those runs. Ah, well. Beckett and Carmona pitched awesomely.

That had to have been the most interesting baseball story I've read in a while.
