I got locked in, and the next thing I know, a monstrous burrito... er, I mean, Mara Salvatrucha... pops in.

(see edit to this post)

Please redirect information on your real name to this thread.

Please redirect information on your real location to this thread.

I appreciate you all making it easier on me by posting those pieces of information here, but it'll probably be quicker and easier to compile them in their threads.

NOTICE: If you do not wish to post in this thread (or if you want this thread to be less cluttered with other information), or if you do not wish to flood my filled PM inbox, then you can send information and such to the Gmail account disktionary@gmail.com .

Feel free to send anything related to this thing there, including compliments/criticisms (though I'd rather you posted them here ;) ). Oh, and I'd prefer if you sent tiny blurbs of information (such as, say, your first name) to the email address or its original thread to reduce clutter in this thing.

Whatever, though; this is basically run by you all, so feel free to ignore this if you want. :)

EDIT: I need to have an answer to this quickly: in the User Directory, would you like parts of entries that do not contain information to be deleted, or kept there without any information? Parts of entries that I'm talking about are like "Real Name", "Additional Information", and "Real Location" that may either be blank or have "N/A" pasted on it.

If you let me remove parts of entries that lack information, the directory will appear cleaner and have more space to enter entries, since both posts dedicated to the directory will near the limits soon. However, certain entries may be "absorbed" by others, since you may have an entry that contains little information being sandwiched between two larger entries.

If you'd like for me to not delete parts of entries that contain no information, entries will appear more even in size, but will definitely affect the character limits of the posts after awhile.

Perhaps you could set up another First Name Dictionary like we used to have in another topic to keep all that out of here and link to it at the top of User Directory posts. Same with location.

I say keep them. In addition to what you said, it'll be easier to see what's missing and easier to add stuff when its found.

While that would be a smart thing to do, I'm trying to keep everything up-front to users with the Disktionary. So, if a user searches for someone in the directory, I'm trying to make it so they have access to a bunch of their information right away. The only reason why I separated the birthdays from the directory was because it's easier looking at a timeline design for birthdays.

Eh, I'm not entirely sure.

This thread is awesome! I had absolutely no idea what "toastpaint" was until I came here. Abruptly changing the subject, you should just delete any sections in the user info parts that aren't filled in; it takes up too much space. Anyway, can I be added to the Disktionary?

I was planning to add you into the Directory with my last edit, but I ran out of time. So yeah, you'll definitely be in sometime in the near future.

By the way, does anybody have any ideas to make the navigation better for this thing? I know the Ctrl + F + (SectionX) search method is kinda messed up at the moment, but beyond that, do you think that I can change anything for the better? I was thinking of using images for the start of new sections, but now that I think about it, it'd be quite time consuming, and probably wouldn't help out too terribly much.

If there's a Starcraft Maniac section, be sure to mention that he crapped his pants at school.

I've only used the links to jump from section to section, making them more specific might help. For example, Post 6 (Wall of Stuff, Places, Links, Edit Log) could be separated into Post 7 (Wall of Stuff) Post 8 (Places), Post 9 (Links), Ect. Ect.

I don't think it's possible to link to the middle of a post, if that's what you're saying.

Upon seeing my inactive status, I came to the obvious conclusion, i.e. that I was dead. This led to disastrous attempts to walk through walls.

To get more space, you should ask the mods to delete a few of the posts on page 1 and maybe 2, leaving your posts behind.

Then there would be a few extra of Disk's posts at the start, so the Disktionary could be bigger. Good idea?

I've thought of it before. Only, my idea was to have a mod delete posts at the beginning of the topic and merge my posts in from other threads. I wouldn't say that it's absolutely necessary at this point in time, though it may come down to it in the future.

You can add a few more things to mine if you want. Like, my real name is Stephen N. My height is roughly 5'10", and since everybody calls me Stu, you might as well add that to my in-use nicknames too. If you have time sometime. It's not too important :P

I haven't edited it for a while. Last week was dedicated to this thing, and this week is dedicated to Banjo-Kazooie and writing. And Banjo-Kazooie.

The Homestar Runner Wiki Forum Wiki 2.0 - The current Wiki about the Homestar Runner Wiki Forum; started by MikeMcG. This is an extensive knowledge base to many of the things that make up the Forum. Be sure to check it out for a bit more information on some of the subjects in this dictionary.

Ohhh, so that's what that is.
So what's up with that place? It seems to house like, a buttload of flaming.

Oh great. I doubt the internets needed another HRWFWF clone.

This place sure spawns a lot of disaffected posters.

Nothing is original on the Internet so everything is a clone.

It's not an HRWFWF clone. Go to the place; it's just a Wiki for this Forum. The Forum clickable from that Wiki page is Mike's own Forum for his RL friends, and not a Forum that is used for Wiki discussion anymore.
