The first episode to this game, Homestar Ruiner, is out on both the Wii (in North America) and PC. The European WiiWare version is slated to come out on the 15th. You can find a demo of the PC version (which is basically the same as the Wii version) over on Telltale's website.

The Wii game takes up an unholy 300+ blocks of space, and the PC download is 69 MB. I'm thinking about purchasing the season pass for the PC version, since it's $15 cheaper than buying all of the Wii versions, and it has the potential for a bonus disc at the end of the season.

I just bought the game for my Wii, and it's amazingly funny, my favorite part was a certain flashback (no spoilers for anyone.) At a certain place.

I'm having a problem here. I'm at the part where homestar is stuck in your home. I'm doing the race right now and I've done everything right. Once I complete it and finish the last scene, The whole game freezes. Same when I change the placement of the turtle, cartel...ed milk, and hurdle. Is this just a glitch or is my wii screwed up?

Is your Wii in widescreen mode? If yes, try setting it to standard. This is not a bug we or Nintendo encountered in our testing, but others who have reported it have said that setting the Wii to standard resolves the problem.

Very good, can't wait for the next.

heres a few bugs i found (PC version).

1) At times peoples eyes will not appear, if you leave the area and return they come back. ive seen this happen with Bubs and strong bad.

2) rarely, (it happend twice in the 5 or so hours ive played), the vocies will cut out all togethor, and the only way ive found to fix it is to restart the game.

3) If you have subtitles turned off and answer an e-mail they turn back on.

in closing... i can't frikin find the last TGS peice. C'mon TTG i helped you out; now gimmie some.

:( People have beaten the game already, and yet I have to wait until Friday...

Telltale guys: Can you use your massive powers of persuasion to convince Nintendo Australia to start releasing stuff on Mondays instead? You guys have that kind of pull, right? No living Nintendo can resist the PoP...

Alright, some bugs I noticed:

HedgeClipper HandsMan?
-I was at the King of Town's Castle. I went in side after clipping the hedge, but I couldn't get the chainsaw off. I opened the DOOR with the chainsaw! And then when I picked up the... document *no spoilers today*, I was holding BOTH. But then I left the area and it was gone.

Homestar Cheffer?
-I was in the Photobooth, and I had the Chef's hat on. Then I put on the Homestar hat, and the chef's hat was ON TOP of the Homstar head! I don't have any idea what activated this bug, but I can't do it again. It was VERY cool!

Also, does anybody know where I can find the Candy Bar Death in TGS?

Bug

Insane Strong Bad?
-With our leaving Marzipan's Garden, I put Homestar's head o for the first time. It was invisible. I put it on again, it's visible! Bug.

There is another glitch for the Wii version:
After beating the game, when you recline the Luxa Lounge, the party people show back up at your house, but Homestar is downstairs. You can walk straight through the King of Town and Coach Z.

Well I fixed the problem. And did anybody else get the Homsar Easter egg? You got to prank call everybody. Then you can Call Homsar.

from the looks of the number of people who found everything else, but the last TGS peice (myself included). It would seem that either the placement was to difficult or is glitched in some way. any thoughts?

I thought the game was pretty darn fun. I think it could have had a few more things in it but overall it was great. I really thought the story of this "toon" was better than most of the sbemails that have come out lately. Actually, maybe better than a few of the toons as of late.

I've 100% beaten the game and it only took me about 5 hours or so total game time. But I can't wait for the next one! I hope October's episode has a Halloween theme, although I doubt it since it's bee in development for awhile I would assume.

But that woulda been cool eh?

When I went in the photo booth and it got all weird, I thought we were going to get to see where Homsar lives or something and I was like. WHOA! Homsar lives here? Makes sense!

... anyway, it was pretty dern cool. If only I could play STINKOMAN LEVEL 10!! *tear*

Wow This Game Is Super Fun I Begged For 1000 Wii Points Early (my birthdays in 2 weeks)
And It Was The First Game I Ever Downloaded With Wii Points :homsar:
Also Here's A very weird glitch once you unlock extended mode turn on the music to the conga line music then put the extending chair back in normal mode and every single character appears that was at the party  plus you can walk through them and can not interact with them in anyway and they will never go away EVER!!!!

I could only afford the demo (rimshot), but I must say that several jokes are pretty darn dark. For example, Strong Sad's suicidal plant, and Strong Bad lying to Marzipan about her hedgeclippers, saying it was Strong Sad's but keeping it since Strong Sad is off his medication.

No wonder I roffled so hard.

Also, having a tablet makes the game much more awesome in PC.

Okay, I've gotten the hedge trophy, phone pranked everybody, found all the TGS cards, found all the SB5 pages, and unlocked free mode. A few questions:

1. Where is the last counted costume item? (I already have the Data Boys shirt, chef hat, and skullcap)

2. How do I get the other 3 trophies?

3. Where do I find accessories?

I could use some help here! :ehsteve:

Warning. Some spoilers.

1. I believe it could be the moustache.
Try to talk in the microphone on the Track to make it fall out of the speaker.

2. The three other trophies are the "Exploration", the "Strong Sad" and the "Nuisance" trophy.
In the first post of this thread is a list of all the things you need to do for each trophy.

3. The moustache is one of the accessories and the championship belt is the other which you get when you have the rank "Chainsaw Bocce Bowler" which you can see on the completion list.

Good luck!

i dont know if anyone noticed this but the button to go back to the main menu while in the game strangely resembles the button on the gameboy SP to change the backlight

It's just a gear icon, with no particular Nintendo reference intended :) We use a similar icon of a gear to represent the main menu in Sam & Max games.

Well, I just got done beating the game and wow, that was the best 1000 Wii Points I ever spent! The game was great, loved all the humor and references. I feel like making a new game and playing it again.

That exactly what i though! The second heard time and space transcending I thought Homsar.

Turns out it wasn't though but I like the jokes they kept making about how charecters can apparently carry a whole wardrobe worth of clothing around with 'em magically. Also I thought I felt a doctor who reference coming on when he mentioned bigger on the inside than on the outside.

Anyway games was most fun I've had in a long time, all right telltale games! Nice woik!

that too happended to me! I don't hate the game, I hate by crappy old tandy...I mean windows. I tried the whole 'dxdiag' thing and after I supposedly fixed the problem it still wouldn't work. Still at least i didn't pay 9 bucks for it and then find out it didn't work huh?

WARNING!
BTW spoiler ahead: don't read if you don't want to spoil a part of the game!

Episode 2 looks awesome, fight against the municipality! Sounds very intersting. I bet it will be just a small tiff with the KOT and SB will misconstrew it as all out war! Ah SB so overact..y

Well, that game was amazing... I mean, I was expecting good things, but still, it was better than I thought it'd be. :D

I just now finished buying the season bundle... and Sam & Max Season 1 while I was at it, since it's going cheap... I figure, there wasn't anything particularly special about the Wii version, and the bundle's cheaper than the 4 remaining games will be after Ninty decides it knows better than the currency exchange markets (when was the last time $US10 was worth $AU15? I mean, really... the last 4 games over WiiWare would cost me just over US$50... the bundle's $US35, and gets me a Sam&Max discount... it's a no-brainer).

Very looking forward to the next one! ("Taxes? That sounds... ominous...")

The game felt very very short, but I guess that's the point of episodic games. Besides, it lasted longer than a Homestar Runner episode will ever last.

I sure hope telltale will release some fixed updates on WiiWare. I can't get rid of that conga line glitch!
