What about it? Good idea? Huh? I think Homsar likes the idea! Don't you, buddy?
:homsar: "I'm a song from the sixties!"
You see?

It would be kind of interesting to have sort of "a day in the life" episode, following around Homsar. It would have to be a short, though, I don't think it could work for more than two minutes. It would be so surreal, it would challenge your worldview!

A Homsar toon would be far too absurdist and surreal to really work. Plus, that many non sequiturs in one cartoon? The English language would implode.

Wow...this seems to be quite the polarizing topic.

I'd have to say that if Homsar had his own toon, the nonsequitors would become more repetitive and anticipated and all but lose their comdeic value. It's been said before, but i'll say it again- Homsar's humor works because of its complete unexpectedness.

Yes.

Homestar Runner definitely requires more Homsar.

I love Homsar, but his humor is typically unfit for an entire cartoon. It would have to be short and absolutely surreal to work.

At least you guys have "for kids" to watch. :)

Something like that would probably be the best way to go for a Homsar toon, I believe. However, it would require creative genius the likes of which surpass anything TBC have ever achieved.

Either way, I'm all for my favorite H*R character getting his own toon. Count me in, bra. :-D

Yeah. That would be the way to go. Remember that sketch "9 to 5 Homsar"? Teehee.

I think a "day in the life" of Homsar would have to be much more subdued than a typical toon. I see Homsar going through many mundane routines without saying a word. These routines might seem boring at first, but then turn out to be very bizarre in actuality.

He would have to be alone for alot of the toon for it to work. Rarely is Homsar ever on screen without other characters. If he was by himself, it would flesh out whole new dimensions of his character.

Actually this toon could be quite depressing. Homsar has always struck me as being extremely alienated. I know he's supposed to be the random surreal humor, but there is a dark and depressing side to Homsar that not many people seem to have picked up on.

Well, there I go over-analyzing an internet cartoon again.

I have an idea, since strongbadia the free showed us that we can have a translation of :homsar:'s voice, TBC may release the cartoon with not only :homsar: 's usual voice, but there may be an option to hear his sensible one aswell.

is that a good idea or not?

I don't think I liked Homsar's "translated" voice in SBCG4AP much. It sort of took away from Homsar's character. Now there's not as much mystery about him.

That's why I wonder if SBCG4AP is meant to have an effect on the characterizations and plot lines of the real cartoons. I hope not.

I don't think that event really matters as it didn't really explain anything. I mean did you see what the ancient artifacts were? It just made him more obscure and absurd than ever. Just because you could understand him for a few minutes doesn't mean much.

:homsar: = yes

Longer version: Homsar deserves his own toon or at least have a larger part in a toon, because all the other main characters, and some minor characters, did. Seriously, he's more underused than the Poopsmith!

You mean, like have it go through the entire toon once, then have it go through again with subtitles? that doesn't sound half bad.

I think you got the wrong non-sequitur champ there. That's clearly a Senor Cardgage line.

Non-Sequit0r Champian just further proves that people love Homsar, even more than Senor Cardgage.

As much as I love Homsar . . . no.

Or at least not entirely by him. Maybe something with an odd coupling. Like the PlayDate cartoon. Pretty much everyone was expecting a Homestar/Marzipan cartoon at first, but no - no it was Homestar/Strong Mad.

A decent Homsar cartoon would have to be where it's gonna be something between two characters, but Homsar is the absolute last person you'd think of.

Well, maybe it would work if he were the main character, but not the only character, featured. Otherwise, it would basically be like "Whaddaya Know, Haddi-Man?".

Wait, that's sounding pretty good now, actually, an actual complete episode of the kids' show...

I'd like a Homsar focused toon. It could be like, he's 100% normal and understandable when he's by himself and the Homsar we all know is an act he does for some reason.
