Yeah, I know what you're thinking: "There's already a thread on Halloween of 2008 on here". Well, this is for the actual Halloween toon itself, complete with a poll on what you think of it.

That was great. Poor Homestar thought he was at the Magic Kingdom...

You guys should go there. They throw a pretty kickawesome Halloween party. (my wife and I went earlier this month).

Anyway, I liked it. Anyone catch the reference to the Stevie Ray Vaughn song at the end when Homestar asked why his "pride and joy" dresses up like dudes?

Great stuff. Great stuff.

Scud and Drywal in there. SWEET! Most I got from the beginning with the exception of 'DJ Lance Rock' Which I had to wait till the end to see who he was, and Strong Bad who at first I actually mistaked first for Leech from Generation X, then that one Mr. Yuk sticker, then finally about half way in I realized 'Wait a minute.... that's that guy from Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy'.

LOVED THIS.

And it was well worth the wait. :) Heck it would've even been worth it if we had to wait until Halloween Night even. XD

I really didn't think I'd be able to say this, but this year's halloween 'toon was definitely the best ever. Great costumes, great use of multiple plot twists (kind of), great goblin music remix... Man, I need an MP3 of that remix.

w00t! I actually got to edit the wiki entry for this toon! I feel so ... POWERFUL! :trogdor:

Anyways, I really like it! I'd give it a 9/10!

Best Halloween toon in a long while. I'm glad they referenced what I can only assume is the dead sheep (the one that got eaten by the Pink Dragon) from that old The King of Town toon.

man, the poopsmith was right on!, and i will admit, i was a little sketchy of the KOT, but i think it's probably the funniest costume ever. I missed the Homsar Easter Egg at first. 'Thwomp Mad was awesome, probably the best fit for him so far. I didn't know what the Cheat was, but HRwiki will explain it sooner or later. Um, i think the best qoute was Strong bad saying, "Is there some secret period in histroy when Hobo's ruled the earth that i didn't know about?"i will admit though, i was kinda lookin' forward to PomPom being Deadpool, that would've been awesome

Also, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that there are toons that have things introduced in them from SBCG4Ap around the time each game was brought out?
On playdate, Homestar had a phone like in Homestar Ruiner,
i forget what the cross-reference from episode 2
and Marzipan had a camera similar to Strong Sad's in Baddest of the Bands

This one fell a little flat, but I still think it's great. It's the practically perfect mix of horrifying and hilarious. 9/10

Also, the Chapmen are apparently fans of SCUD. That's awesome.

Wow that Sheep was super scary! I liked the goblin remix song. That was cool and I was so pleased to see Poopsmith dress as zoidberg from my fave thing ever Futurama (also loved the good news everyone easter egg)
Also I guuessed Homsar would be captain caveman and he was! Who'da thunk it!

Overall I liked it, the futurama quotes gave it big points, I like that they're working more scary themes into the ween toons now (dead sheep, evil paintings) as opposed to just them talking in costumes like in halloween fairstival. I liked that toon but the ween needs to be spooky! 5/5

Good News everyone!

So that means your sister... PUNCH'D!

Although I haven't found Homsar yet. Oh, wait. There he is. He has an awesome costume this year.

You know, this toon actually wasn't half bad.

I knew who a few of the characters were, and I actually understood the references at the end. I don't know whether to be happy that TBC are referencing stuff I've actually heard of, or annoyed that they are selling out by referencing popular things.

Also, it was good that Strong Bad wasn't the Predator, just like he was going to be the Alien but wasn't last year.

Still not enough to get me back into homestar though....

I guess it's official that the costumes don't have to be old references considering Coach Z dressed as a characters that's only been around for about a year.

I rather liked this one. It ranks... fairly high of the nine Halloween toons. Top five, yes. Zombie sheep make everything delicious!

I thought it was quite good. Strong Bads costume was incredably random though.

also, this thrend needs 5 choices in its poll

I definitely think it's in the top tier of the ween toons. I think I liked last years better (it made me laugh out loud more) and Potion Majig is still my favorite... I think... but this one is probably third favorite or so. I dunno. lol. They're all good. The scary themes are getting better and better. Hopefully next year we get something even scarier! haha.

I really liked Homsar's costume haha. I didn't really recognize Pom Pom or The Cheat's. Bubs fit him perfectly... and Marzipan. Hmmm... yeah it's starting to concern me too Homestar haha. The best costume was Strong Mad's IMO. Fits him to a tee... and Strong Bad's was... creative. lol.

They really should have included a link at the end of the toon to an MP3 of the dance mix.

I love Strong Sad, he's so adorably pathetic.

Not a bad toon at all, wish my fave parts weren't innueddo or implied violence though. |D; And you know how awesome it would be for the next sbemail to have an undead sheep? I sure think it'd be awesome.
Fave costume was Strong Mad's, two mouths FTW. (Also the jumping-thing was probably the only reference I've ever recognised, so a bit of bias on my part.)

Bobcat Goldthwait is not the same person as Sam Kinison.
Kinison died in the early 90's.
Goldthwait was on Bob and Tom the other day.

Ma Fratelli? I totally thought SS was supposed to be Roseanne Barr. (And, yeah, Kinison =/= Bobcat.)

SM as Thwomp - excellent.

All right! I understood the Ya Gabba Gabba refrence- should I be pleased or worried? I'm in college and i don't have any younger siblings...

Quote:
:coachz: : Seems that way! Bubs! This is great news! This means we're brothers! I always knew it!
:bubs: : Or it means you're a liar! Besides, even if it were true, we'd only be sixth-fourth-second-fifth cousins, thrice removed!
:coachz: : Oh, phew. So your sister and I can—

I shouldn't have laughed at that as hard as I did.

EDIT: I want the Goblin dance remix on Strong Bad Sings 2!

Is it just me, or does it seem like half of the characters' costumes seem more recent than usual? The oldest costume is Captain Caveman, who first appeared in 1977.

Well, anyway, my sister will be really pleased to see that the Poopsmith was Dr. Zoidberg, because A) she loves "Futurama" and B) she was actually hoping that he would be him sometime.

That was just terrific. For once Coach Z dressed up as someone I recognized (yes, I've seen Yo Gabba Gabba!). At first I thought he said, "Yoooorrrrrrr Gorble Gorble!" I couldn't really make out what Strong Bad was until the end of the toon. It makes me grin just to hear Homestar call the Green Goblin "the Gobalin." Speaking of which, I think the Goblin's got an updated look.

What I loved was Homsar's line, "I'm the Captain Caveman of the graveyard train!" Especially his mouth movement.

Y'know what I don't understand? At the very end, Strong Bad doesn't (partially) face whomever he's talking to. Same would go for Homestar talking to Strong Sad. One exception was Homestar talking to Marzipan, though. Okay, I'm done.

And Rob Schrab, the creator of Scud, is a HUGE fan of Homestar. He totally freaked out in his blog when he saw this.

I've noticed that every third Halloween toon has a character dress in a costume themed to a Mario character. In 2002, the King of Town was Mario, and in 2005, The Cheat was Toad. Now we have Strong Mad as a Thwomp.

Too bad no one wanted to be a character created by Bill Cosby. Those characters were used in every third Halloween toon, too. In 2002, The Cheat was Russell from "Fat Albert", and in 2005, Coach Z was Theo Huxtable from "The Cosby Show".

Best. Halloween. Toon. Ever

10/10 ABSOLUTELY HILLARIOUS

COSTUMES I RECOGNIZE

:sm: A thwomp is perfect for him!
:marzi: Yay! Stevie Ray!
:kot: HILARIOUS! "I dressed up as my favorite candy", um...I think those are erasers. ROTFL
:poop: Oooookaaaaaaay?
:homsar: If he hadn't spoken, I wouldn't have recognized him! Excellent costume!

FAVORITE PARTS

:sm: acting like a thwomp!
:kot: explaining his costume
:homsar:
:hr: thinking he was at Disneyland.
:coachz: :bubs:

I was taken aback by the 200 acre cemetery. I was like, "ah-what the! OMG!" LOL

Poor Strong Sad, will we ever see him again? Is there some kind of dimension rip where Strong Sad acquires the powers of Sickly Sam?
