3.5/5.
Not great, but it had its moments. I quite liked the reference to the pronunciation of crayon, and the purple wrench was random, but I get the feeling they're either going to start sbemails up instead, or continue properly, as this was barely an email. It was more of a reading-fan-mail-on-a-kids'-tv-channel kinda thing.

The brellow crown bit made me think of the Family Guy bit about Reese's Peanut Butter dealies. I didn't know it was an advert until I read the wiki (surprised how quickly they updated it, good jorb). It was good, but Homestar's good for other things, he's my favourite character I think, or one of them, but Strong Bad does e-mails. I feel like an American at this point - I don't like change. No offence, just observing.

Anywho, I don't mind what The Brothers Chaps do, it's their website. I'm sure I'll still love it.

It's pretty obvious they're making fun of their fans. And it's also pretty much a guarantee they won't turn this into a feature, and a bit of a demonstration of why it wouldn't work. I do like the SOL SOUL picture though. That was pretty awesome.

Eh, I'm gonna go with 2/5. It was pretty boring, and not that funny.

I too was waiting for it to get funny the whole time. Although I do like Homestar far more than Strong Bad, this toon has showed me why Strong Bad Emails are ever so much better than Homestar Emails. Strong Bad is able to hold an email show together because he has coherent trains of thought and an understandable voice. Homestar, on the other hand, works very well as a side character - good for some laughs, but is sometimes difficult to understand, and rambles a bit when he's there for too long. I have to agree with what Strong Bad said in "the facts" that a show about Homestar would be terrible.

Judging by the fact that this is listed as hremail62, that it was not categorized anywhere on the site, and that it didn't really go over well, I get the feeling we'll be back to sbemails in no time and TBC want to see how much they can convince their viewers that sbemails are a bygone era.

It wasn't bad. I'm just glad to see them updating again. I gave it a three.

I enjoyed some parts
"mmm sloppy joseph!"
"Tickling my face"
"sun with a 'fro"

By the way, amI the only one who thought  saying" "yellow crayon your the only one who know's what happened" is a reference to DNA evidence?

When Homestar said he was going to show a picture of him and Marzipan at a honeymoon, I thought they were going to explain the recent hiatus as Homestar and Marzipan being too busy getting married to make new toons.

I have to kinda agree with (mostly) everyone at the moment.

:sb: + emails = good

:hr: + emails = bad

:hr: + :sb: emails = doubly good :p

Well, it wasn't bad, but I really hope they don't continue this. The HREmail joke already seemed a bit stale after email thunder, and drawing it out more like they did here will make it downright boring.

My thoughts while watching this:
"Intro song was kinda good."
"What? No computer??"
"Oh, it's a drawer. I really should have seen that coming."
"LOL, brellow crayon."
"LOL, sun with a fro."
"LOL, purple wrench."
"LOL, "I am done tickling my face.""
"That was the worst ending ever." [Really, they dragged out the dwwwwwawwwwww joke for WAY too long.]

Three potatoes out of five.

After a long time without updates, I thought the new toon would be good. I was disapointed.

I gave it a 3. It was alright, but Homestar can't carry an email no matter how funny he normally is. I laughed at that bit with the brown/yellow crayon and smiled at Homeslice's star collection, but the rest just wasn't that great. At least it's an update, so I'm happy.

While it didn't really make me laugh, it was nice to see something different. I'm a bit surprised to see people begging for sbemails, considering how there's been a general atmosphere of people thinking Strong Bad's starting to become overused.

After SBCG4AP, I'm sure TBC is as tired of Strong Bad as some of their fans are, and wants to do something different for a while. I imagine sbemails will return eventually, but there are a lot of other categories and characters on the site that could use some attention. sbemails weren't originally the main attraction, and the site is named after Homestar, after all.

My reaction was this:

"Wha? No. No, n-no, no, no, not good, not right, no, no, what?"

Admittedly, I said it in a joking tone, and the toon was kinda funny. But part of me wants to email Homestar with a threatening picture in magazine-cut letters saying GIVE SB HIS JOB BACK AT ONCE.

Ok...

1. What's with Homestar's new squint eyes? They're sorta... weird for Homestar.
2. There was nothing that was really bad in the email except for the fact the Homestar was starting Hremails itself (as you can tell, I'm a HUGE Sbemail fan.)
3. That being said, some of the following jokes make up for that by being squidge-milk-out-your-nose funny... The feather tickling, The Brellow, The Brellow's story, Purple wrench, The story behind what the yellow crown-on knows about Strong Sad, and other little quips of Homestar.

Squidge???

My reaction when I saw the button: "N-n-n-NEW HREMAIL? WTC?" But hey, I'm with the people that say at least it's an update.

Hmm. I wonder why the "email Homestar" thing at the end wasn't clickable...

Meh. I miss :sb: emails. Maybe it's just b/c I'm older, but I think this is the end of an era. Sorry guys.

Wow. I don't think Homestar's been that stupid for some time now (on the site, at least.)

But is it truly the rise of the hremail and the fall of the sbemails we all grew up with?

I gave this hremail a 4/5 or B/A or B or 4.
Favorite quotes:
"Ooh, sloppy joseph! (splat) Oh cwap!"
"...the perfect pwace for youw studentia! Is that the plural for student? Studentia?"
"Dangit purple wrench! (bang)"
"-everyone's favorite knock-knee weight-lifter...HOMESTAW WUNNUW!"
"Oh that's most definately doctow!"
"this dresser (zoom) this dresser (zoom) this dresser."
"Oh I sure love my brown crown! (pan) Oh yellow crayon, only know what really happened."
"Homestar Runner Dinoland. Opening July 2012. Actual attraction may just be a nightstand."
"A whaaaaaaat?"
"I-I mean a drawer."
"A whaat?"
"I mean, a dwaw."
"A WHAT?"
"Huhhh... a dweeoooowwwww."
"That's bettow!"
Now if only this was hremail 64...and I don't wanna explain why.

HREmails Not Dead :-|
SBEmails ??? :sm:

HREmail was funny, as in it was something new and good to see, but as a normal toon alone it wasnt that great.

I think it was superb . . . HR in all his illogical glory. If SBemails are anarchist humor, hremails are almost surreal. Part of the joke is trying to track HR's train of thought as it all the time jumps from track to track. Marvelous.

I'd be happy if TBC kept Hrmails, went back to Sbemails, or did something else entirely, because, heck, it's free entertainment, and still tons better than much of the stuff out there on this wide interweb of ours.

Like so many Sbmails that didn't feel uproarious at first, I think this toon will win people over in time. A few months from now, you'll be eating a sloppy joe and call it a sloppy joseph, or start saying, "It goes all the way back to this one time . . ." and find that it's grown on you. As does much of TBC's humor.

I emailed Homestar Runner. I never got any kind of response, auto or not. Doesn't sbemails (and didn't hremail around the time of sbemail200) have an autoresponse?

Sbemails, yes, but Hremails, no.
