Do you think, that till the end of the year 2009 (the new album of A Freeter) the BC will made some more e-mails?

*poof* Well that was interesting. Probably my favorite part about it is how they seem to be making fun of sbemails and their disdain of it! And not only the scene with them actually appearing. Didn't Mike say the "bane of their existence" was animating that snarky wagglehead and the text?

I also like the Jorb sbemail: Kid sends stupid email, Strong Bad reads it, Strong Bad says emailer has a stupid name, SB says he misspelled something, cut to scene.

And I have to disagree with Octan I like the sudden random appearance of the whale in the actual Toon. Then again, the character I associate the most with is Homsar, so... where's the Homsar E-Mail? *is hit with a hambroiger*

Wow! That totally didn't work! *poof*

I liked this toon, but I'm not sure if this was TBC trying to say "We're never doing another sbemail again, but you shouldn't care cause it's all the same stuff anyway" or "Hey, we'll start doing sbemails again pretty soon."

4/5

I think that this was definitely a jab at some WHY NO SBEMAILS U GUIZ DO MORE SBEMAILS emails they must be getting.

They've been doing this for a long time, and the sbemail format is good, but somewhat limiting. It doesn't let them build up as much of a rich environment for their characters. I've been liking the fact that they're not slaves to fanservice, and are starting to branch out into normal toons.

I think with this toon they're trying to fight against a tide of U GUIZ SUK NO SBEMAILS DO TROGDRO AGAIN LOL

When I saw NEW SBEMAIL I, personally, was a bit disappointed, get ready for everyone to go "oh boy everythings back to normal!" And when it played, and they totally screwed with everyone, I was laughing my butt off as they openly trolled all whiners.

The final message of this sbemail/tl;dr:
"We're done with sbemails (at least for now), and it's not like Toons are that much different! You don't NEED strong bad at the front and back to make a good toon! get off our backs!!"

I'm pretty sure it's the first one. I think sbemails are officially buried.

I thought it was really funny, and made a great point. I loved TBC making fun of their own work.

I also think it was a slight jab at the fandom, too, when he jumped up and yelled "This is the worst idea you've....!!!" ... which, face it, some folk here have been guilty of telling TBC just that courtesy this forum.

Loved the Terminal D6, though.

Nothing really in response to the quote, but I'd like to say I'm wearing a button with a very similar face as your avatar. I had to do a double take, looking at the monitor then at my shirt. It was weird. THAT IS ALL.

(This may be as close to sbemail 201 as we get.)

It's always good to poke fun at yourself. Especially when it's obvious you're in the heads of the fanbase. I fell off the chair when I saw the "sbemailerized" home page.

But is it a sbemail or a toon? It's not on the list. I need closure! :bubs:

Actually, that's kinda a good point. Maybe, then, it's a combination of an April Fool's gag and the Brothers Chaps trying to tell Sbemail missers that the cartoons don't need to be Sbemail-wrapped.

Hey, what's the deal with the computer SB was using for the Drive-Thru clip?

A possible preview of the Lappy's successor? It looks like a mid 90's IBM. If so, they need to have a GUI, no more DOS type prompts. :sm:

Not a chance. Sbemails are their bread and butter. It drives everything else. Think about how much has come from sbemails, like Trogdor, 20X6, Old Timey, Sweet Cuppin' Cakes, Limozeen, etc.

I think TBC are doing this to cover for the fewer and fewer sbemails that have been done so they could concentrate on SBCG4AP. The whole site itself has grown beyond what 2 guys could do on their own anyway.

Very good (email?) all around. It dindn't require any story or plot, but held itself together wth sheer unexpected randomness and kind of a clipshow but not really.

It's setting up for April Fool's Day. They're going to use this. Then it's all going to turn out to be a big joke.

It was pretty good, but not as good as Kick-a-Ball.

I really liked it though. And what they are saying really is true. Just stick Strong Bad at the beginning and end and it's a sbemail.

I would have to say that I was...completely blown away. Strong Bad was right. MINDBLOWN. I giggled at many of the lines, and it was just..wow. It made me speechless.

Some_new_kid et al, are right. This was by far the best way for TBC to answer the sbemail question without going "Yeah man, I'll gnaw your face off! Teh C. " They don't have to do a sbemail every week, just something funny on a regular basis, which they are doing just fine with right now.

And I still don't know whether it was better to throw this in the toons forum or not.

This toon itself was just random enough to be funny, but the suggestion that they'll be able to "stop working—start working on them!" makes me agree with Matt, at least somewhat, in that "This is the worst idea you've—"

I thought it was very funny, 5/5. TBC basicly telling us that sbemails are just other cartoons.

Yeah, this was pretty good. But it didn't really make me laugh a lot. It reminded me that I find the other Toons better than sbemails, from a comedy point of view of course. Or maybe with the few months absence I just forgot how funny they really were. I'm not entirely sure. Yep, mindblown. Anyway, they're about the same on all other levels. Probably the best part was Matt's rage or the Sbemailerized homepage.
Yeah, :hr: :hr: :hr: :bubs: / :hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: .
I may have to watch this a few more times to get a better picture of what I really wanna say about it.
...
Did any of that make sense?

This toon actually gave me some sort of closure since I already knew there were gonna be no more sbemails. It sent them off with a laugh. I still think sbemails could probably survive if they did them once in a while, like the answering machines. I can see why they wouldn't want them to be weekly anymore, for the sake of the rest of the site.

The "toons" menu are full of sbemails, so this has been accepted fact for years.

I like italics.
