This was funny. I love how they made fun of the old toons.

No wiki page yet.

I'm crying I laughed so hard. All the throwbacks, the trashed computer, '40 e-mails', Strong Bad not knowing how to check e-mails ...

I'm just dead from the neck up. I'm totally floored.

So...

Homestar invented sbemails!? (Yet Strong Bat made them funny)

Man, what a total paradox! And viewpoint! And... and...

Oh Dan...guh. This was epic. Thank you TBC. Such majesty...

Really clever, more than anything. Humourous too, very much so. But how everything tied in was great. Oh, Strong Bad, you hypocrite. :P
I'm wondering if any more toons will come where there is a clear FCUSA history to them like that, if you get my meaning, any time soon.

Dude, this was just awesome. I LOVED the easter egg and how even Strong Bad doesn't know how he types with boxing gloves on. And the mentioning of Melonade and the old style and voice acting (though Strong Bad sounds exactly the same except with more usage of 'crap', amirite?) and the dial up noises from Strong Sad...

Just... epic. Pure epic.

Wow. That was epic. I loved how The Cheat told Strong Bad how to type with boxing gloves on. "CURSE YOU, UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEEEEEEEEECH!!!" No, I'm just kidding. I want that to stay a mystery unless I can tell The Brothers Chaps myself. About the rest of the toon? It's another poke at sbemails. Like in Sbemailiarized!, it's either A) The proof that there will be a new sbemail, or B) The Brothers Chaps are saying that there will be no more sbemails.

wow... they sure have progressed since i first encountered the site in duce double on thrice. and now they've refference Total Annihilation! no other H*R cartoon has hit me at home quite like this one.

looks like they're trying to take back what strong bad said while he was snooping around tell-tale games. 'yeah i know its 12 years old but its modding community is still in full swing!'

if you're lost on the refference... well... it was just the first thing that popped into my head when taco annihilation flashed on screen. you gonna add this to the article?

Best HREmail to date by some way. Possibly the best 'Email' over all, actualy.

High praise indeed!

If TBC keep this up, we'll know for sure that it's B. And they'll have vindicated thus:

"Well, that's what we've been telling you guys all along!
And they say we don't listen to our fans. We beg to differ: they don't listen to us!!"

Of course, that would be the worst case scenario.
The best case scenario would be TBC still stringing us along forever.... and no one ever notices!

This was certainly an interesting Hremail. I liked how the artstyle was a throwback to the earlier days.

But my favorite part about this Hremail was how we saw Strong Bad learning of "e-mails" and getting a computer to kick off the SBemail craze. That really wasn't something I was expecting.

The easter egg was good two, with The Cheat's suggestion of how Strong Bad can type with boxing gloves on, which sorta taunted the viewers with the answer without giving it straight to us.

*poof* I want some Taco Annihilation.

I think my favorite part of this hremail is simply the poking fun and whatnot. And how Strong Bad's first computer was a piece of junk before it exploded. ;o

I surmise this means Strong Bad actually knew of Homestar's e-mailing before. ...but apparently forgot about it.

I give it a 4, I didn't find it really funny, but just the overall total insanity of hremails kicking off sbemails and everything automatically makes it a 4. *poof*

Wow, I was just thinking about an origin story they could use, but that was way more awesome.
I wonder if that was just for a reference, or it means more hremails are on the way.
I give it a leather bag rife with Aztec chocolate coins.

That was awesome. I had a hard time deciding between 4 and 5, but ultimately I went with four because of the inconsistent emulation of the old style. I really liked the Easter egg.

Um, that was amazing. I'm not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but it was just great. The old animation, the Tandy being stolen from Homestar, The Cheat explaining to Strong Bad how to type with boxing gloves on. It was simply all win.

Strong Sad was pretty awesome in this, too. What with his poor imitation of dial-up and the strange way he waddled away after Homestar demanded he leave. Gooood times.

I loved the contractual obligations the Melonade company set down for Homestar, too. Hm, I wonder if we're going to see the classic hremail where he gets in trouble with said company for daring to speak of another drink.

I loved this one! The refferences to old things, SB learning how to type with boxing gloves, the explination for why it's @ homestarrunner.com.... Excellent.
I actually thought that it would end up being 'The Luau' for an while, like Hremailierized entertainment or something, with Homestar drinking 147 glasses of melonade because it's his favorite drink. I guess I was wrong.

I agree....funniest cartoon in months. Go call Abdi and make him send me some e-mail? The Cheat "telling" SB how to type with his gloves on? A total win

I think I just died from the sure awesomeness of that. *check pulse* Nevermind, scratch that last thing. Really though, HOMESTAR started Sbemails. Wow, just wow. 5/5

That cartoon was so chock full of retconny throwbacks that it reminded me of the good old days, the days when I used to really care about H*R. So much so, that I decided to post about it on this forum, for old times sake. *revels in nostalgia*

Pretty good! Not amazing, but good for some chuckles, with plenty of new spins on old references for the longtime fans. I was torn between a 3 and a 4, but I'm feeling generous today, so: a 4 it is.

Wow...the first hremail I actually LIKED!! And of course it's because of the following:

1) Done in the early style
2) Strong Bad's use of old phrases
3) Strong Bad drawn in old style, but has his current accent
4) Strong Bad stealing Homestar's idea and making it a huge success

Notice a pattern here...Strong Bad...?

As everyone esle has said, it was super great. Not super duper great, but super nonetheless. I really liked the explanation of where the Tandy came from, although now I'm curious as to what exactly a "Randy 400" is.

4!

So that's where Strong Bad got the Tandy. Hmmmm....

Loved the different flavors of Melonade. Bacon flavored? Sounds like a Jones concoction. I also like how Homestar has a contract with the Melonade corporation. It makes him seem even more like an alternate Strong Bad.

What is up with the character designs nowadays? They seem crisper than usual. More paper-like.

Loved how Strong Bad was unaware of emails. So Homestar's came first? Hmmm....

And Strong Bad already knew Abdi? Dang.

5/5

This one was very cute.

That... was... so... GREAT! As people have said before, it's nice to see them get back to their roots with an old-style cartoon. So finally we know... sbemails are funny hremails.

One side note... Homestar's "old voice" sounded a little funny, but that's understandable since it's been a while since Matt has done it.

2'd! er... I mean 5'd.

Oh dag! That man just invented sbemails in the middle of my hremail!

I think the only thing that could have made this more perfect would be the resurrection of the built-in pop-up menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

There was a lot of great stuff here, as people have said. I do particularly like the explanation of why Strong Bad's email address is on Homestar's domain. And he's still using it. Probably has been using Homestar's storage and bandwidth too. Very Strong Bad, taking something that he initially would find insulting or embarrassing and turning it into him taking advantage of someone, and thus being proud of it.

I was personally disappointed that the characters sounded more modern though, instead of their old accents. It hurts the illusion that it's something dug out of the archives that we just haven't seen, makes it hard to ignore the knowledge that it was just created recently to tie things together. And to mock the people begging for more Sbemails.
