I honestly think this is my favorite toon of 2009. I can't think of anything this year I have enjoyed more than this.

Exactly How I feel except for Loading Screens-That shall always be golden, aside from the Heavy Metal I actually liked this-and it didn't seem like a PbtC really, except for the beginning and heavy metal parts-but other than that it was funny and the song was catchy

I thought Homsar was going to be involved, since he IS the Haddi-Man. But whatever.

This was more like Experimental Films, in that only parts of it were PbtC. As to why it's in that category of toons, perhaps the Brothers Chaps just wanted a toon to add there before the year ended.

I loved it. I love the over-the-top lyrics about the unicorn's tear writing in the dew and stuff.

Like others have said though, I think the heavy metal interruption sort of threw it off, but it was kind of worth it for Strong Bad's "Aaawwwww, I thought you were done!" afterwards. *shrug*

I think maybe I just have a weak spot for unicorns. >:

The random heavy metal interlude was really funny, and I absolutely loved when the smiling ethnic kids popped up. This one gets many a kudo from me for its complete surreality.

4/5.

It was never explicitly stated exactly who Haddi-Man is. After this toon, my bet is on the guitarrist being Haddi-Man. And yet, we have no official confirmation, so it will remain a mystery for quite a while longer. Maybe forever.

I gots three words to describe this toon: What. The. Pfargtl. This one made almost no sense (but slightly, and I do mean slightly, more sense than The Animated Adventures of Puppet Homestar, which was one big Lampshade with about five milliliters of Hremail for seasoning). About the only interesting part was when SB took over the song. But the toon as a whole doesn't seem like PBTC to me. Needs moar funny and less music-videoness.

Homestone Wrecker is right... the Nostalgia Critic (and probably half the Troping community) would classify this under Big Lipped Alligator Moments. But instead of voting it a Homsar out of three Homestars, I'll give it two Poopsmiths and a Smiling The Cheat... out of five SBs.

:poop: :poop:  / :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb:

Now come on TBC... give us a Sbemail!

I do have a question. What were the original lyrics like - or was the song written for this purpose? They Might Be Giants and TBC could really build on their connections here. TMBG doing music and limited voices, TBC doing animation and main voice. Could actually be pretty big if they went in that direction. Honestly.. I think they need to do more of this! Experimental Film got me watching Homestar Runner in the first place

After watching it again, I love it! It feels like Davey is a psychologist while Strong Bad is a troubled preteen. Excellent!

I love things that mess with the brain. This was funny & on-drugs, like Dragon's Lair 2, Raggedy Anne & Andy the Musical, Youtube Poop, & cartoons from the 30s....all things I watch religiously because TV sucks. I laughed like an old man.

Seriously though, I was wondering if they were ever going to add another "Powered by the Cheat."

For those of you who hated it, looks at it this way; Seeing the things that have come out lately, I suspect they're making another big interactive Halloween cartoon & are just doing a few easy-makes in between to hold us off, like taunting us with appetizers until the turkey is out of the oven.

I think my mind melted with the hippie's face. Strangely humourous. Particularly Strong Bad's answer to everything, in (further) particular his squeedly guitar bit. :P

I enjoyed that, frankly. I'd even like to hear a full version of the non-squeedly guitar section of the song. It sounded so cute :)

This song is too funny! It's all random and when you hear the conversation between the two singers, it pretty much makes sense in a new style from the Cheat!

Uh, what the crap did I just watch? Unicorns? Fortress? French Fries? Bricks? What?

Please tell me when "Experimental Flash Month" is over. This is way too much in weirdness.

3/5

Holy-Mother-of-Pearl! That was about the funniest thing I've seen in years on HSR. I...ma gonna die. I was literally doubled over for this. It's a pretty ingenious mash up of styles upon styles with references to a hundred different inside jokes or elements of the website. And then the music is pretty crafty. I mean I really liked this.

I'll admit that I didn't like the opening puppet scene, but the rest I thoroughly enjoyed.

Here's an explanation for all you non-crossover fans: About a year ago (shortly after sbemail200), TMBG released a podcast (like they semi-regularly do) containing both this song and the intro to said sbemail. The podcast version of the song was above and beyond the website version in audio quality. It sounds like crap on the site. The lyrics and Strong Bad's voice were more evenly matched in volume with the music. That being said, I give the song a 5/5 (I'm more than slightly biased), and the visuals 3/5. This totals a 3/5, since the Bros screwed up the sound in this version.

Man! How are Powered By The Cheat 'toons gonna parody poorly-made flash animation if The Cheat's flash animations are actually good?

In all seriousness, though, that was pretty good.

I second that. *packs bags* Not a single real toon in weeks.

Wild Speculation Alert! Davey sounds suspiciously like The Poopsmith! Did The Cheat somehow persuade him to break his vow of silence for a video? And if so, what was the payment? Or maybe The Cheat just does a good impression of him...?

Disclaimer: Yes I know they're the same singer, but imagine the implications!

This reminds me of strong bad having a super e-mail filter that only one shoes up for every 10,00 of them.

I really cannot believe that people hate this. I can understand not thinking it's a 9/10, but seriously...You had the weird hippie guy, squeedly guitar work, :sb: 's commentary and a the best closing line in a long time. "I'ma throw a brick at your cellist."

Honestly, some of you need to calm down a little bit. Have you considered the fact that TBC still make a very good, very funny, very CLEAN webtoon that is updated an average of once a week? There is nothing else that compares, and yes, sometimes they miss, but 89% of the time, it flat out rocks.

For me, I give this one :senor: / :homsar: , or a 8.5/10

That... was strange. Though the music wasn't bad, the background graphics were... interesting to say the least, and Strong Bad's "Commentary" was quite amusing.

4/5'D!
