It's nice to hear Homestar's heavenly singing voice again.

It's a nice little treat. Maybe we'll get something else tomorrow?

I wish I was there, that would be epic.
At first I was thinking TBC was touring with TMBG but I guess they were just in Atlanta, GA.

A sign of life! I mean, besides the whole Telltale thing. At least we know they're being creative with their not-updating time. If they don't return tomorrow, I'm giving them until April Fools' Day, because that would be a perfect opportunity to pretend that they've given up for good.

They're alive, hooray. Finally good to see something new within the H*R world. Woo.

I think TMBG asked "Homestar" about the hiatus and at the end he said "I'm going to go back into a Hefty bag in storage for a few more months."

Well sounds like they're taking a half year break most likely then. Probably just in celebration of 10 years of H*R. It was nice to see some new Homestar stuff, even if it was just the puppet version haha.

Well I hope he wasn't serious about being gone that long. I can dig a month break, maybe two month break, but taking six months off your life?? I've never done that. I can't imagine doing that with a fun job like running homestarrunner.com. I mean surely even with a new baby and all kinds of crazy stuff going on they could at least make it a goal to do one short cartoon a month or something

Nice to see -some- sort of appearance by Homestar again.

Although, was it my imagination or did his voice sound a little "off"?

Well in the cartoons, Matt probably does several takes and uses the best one. Here it's live. Also, I'm sure one would sound different after ten years of doing several different voices.

Well the site hasn't been updated since November, so it would be pretty reasonable if his voice didn't sound right.

I'm fairly sure that he was talking about the puppet.

Yeah, that's right. And it's true, we haven't really seen the puppets since that Dangeresque video. I don't count that psuedo-puppet-toon-thing, whatever that one was called.

Didn't one of TMBG lads (don't know them that well, wouldn't know his name) ask something along the lines of "what you been up to, Homestar?" or something like that. Not a very useful reply, but that's Homestar for you, heh. That was my interpretation anyway. I think it was between the two songs...

Yeah, I wouldn't really call this an "update." It is nice to see Homestar again in any kind of medium though.

No ... I thought it was the regular "live" Homestar voice

Flash has a knack for knocking the sound quality back a few pegs, so you're probably used to hearing Flash/Matt's microphone renditions of H*R.

IT'S STILL ALIVE!!!!!!

This might be a sign that the end of the break is soon...ish

Then again, maybe it's not.

You could just play it safe and say "John". They're both named John.
