"I'm mad that I'm flying" was only mildly clever because it was a callback. wasn't really a fan of the April fools thing either. the tune wasn't catchy and the animations were crappy on purpose. waiting for a real update.

still they're taking care of their family stuff so it's not like I can really be mad about it. it's just sorta disappointing.

I agree with Strike. Even though i was excited when the april fools toon came out, once i watched it a couple more times it was just not funny. This is just an excuse for TBC to weasel out of an actual toon. I mean I understand that they have a new baby, but 6 friggin months is just to much. This was just utterly dissapointing.

Weasel out of? They never promised anything, and they could have done nothing. If you want to like it or dislike it on its own terms, that's one thing, but I don't think anybody has room to dislike it solely because it's not a so-called real toon.

oh yeah I agree dot com. by real update I meant something with the characters being normal. in their "real world" not more of this (in my opinion) mediocre parody.
I don't think they're weaseling out of anything, now if they had a blog where for the last month or two they had been promising updates or something, but dot com is right they didn't promise anything.

I'm just waiting for something with the cast being the cast as opposed to the "xcastx" or whatever.

oh and for the record I didn't make this account with intent to troll or anything, I meant to make it months ago but I refreshed the captcha too many times and then forgot about it, and lost the thread I was gonna comment on in the first place.

Yeah, it's good, nice to have a sign of life. Reasonably amusing. /

BUT: it's a half-hearted sign from where I'm sitting. 11 days after the April Fools' toon doesn't feel so encouraging from a "They're back!" point of view.

Easter was last week, they may have taken the week off to be with their families.

I was planning on giving it a 3 but then "I'm MAD that I'm flying" forced it up a point.

I gave it 3, fairly fun and nice to see the Chaps haven't abandoned the series, but didn't completely blow me away.

It's dot com is right. I didnt mean they had promised us anything, but to me it seemed they were back. And then they give us something that doesnt even count as an actual toon.

oh yeah. they are back all right. No new toon of quoute of the week update yesterday. Sigh... This is really depressing its been 6 FREAKING MONTHS and yet only 2 new things have come to the site. But they changed the copyright! That's great! I am this close to denouncing my fandom of H*R and start watching newgrounds and going on addictinggames.com. TBC... WHERE ART THOUGH?!

Deep breathes, Stiny. It'll be okay. First, it hasn't been six months, it's been less plus there was a new toon a few weeks ago. Second, life is crazy complicated, and when you do a free cartoon series online sometimes you have to take a break to deal with the real world. Trust me, I know.

It'll be okay. Until we hear news on the site itself of "H*R is closing down, thanks for watching" we can assume they'll come back at some point.

I'm just glad they put something new up. Next I'm hoping for new sbemail and TGS toons!

Oh dear God, they made a Main Page based on this.

While the Main Page in itself was not bad, I'm not a big fan about this spinoff. They don't need another futuristic era. They did that already with 20X6. I'm seriously worried that this "Xeriouxly Forxe" is going to replace 20X6.

But I'm glad TBC is back

To be honest, I didn't really get what they were trying to reference in the april fool's day toon. I'm sitting here trying to think of an 80s toon they brought back in the 90s that was upgraded like the parody, but I can't think of anything really. I can think of stuff in the 2000s, like the newer styled Ninja Turtles cartoon. But I'm drawing a blank and the wiki did not show me any good examples. So I thought the toon, although nice in terms of "Finally, something!" ... I didn't think it was very good.

The main page is good though. I liked it, especially the "I'm MAD that I'm flying!" part. But I'm just not feeling it. I wanted to see an actual cartoon or e-mail. We have been without either for about five months now. I want to see something in the actual H*R universe. I want to see Strong Bad and Homestar talk about something. ANYTHING.

I'm not sure what's causing TBC to not update the site, but it sucks. They did these two things but didn't update the Quote, sketch, etc. stuff. Why not? And it took them until April to change the copyright logo?

Either they are very much too busy to do anything with the site, or they have mostly lost interest in dealing with the site (for now) at least.

*sigh* Say what you will but this is the only update in 2010 so far and it didn't occur until April. Anyway you slice it that sucks.

The reason the site hasn't been updated is that Matt Chapman, the voice actor for nearly every character on the site, and his wife Jackie had a baby last fall (in the northern hemisphere). They are tending the little one.

I'm sure they'll be back, though, because I believe that this site is their livelihood. Have patience.

We've been well aware of that for a while. Though the length of time without a toon was much longer than any normal baby break.
