This is an idea I've been pondering for a while. If they were to make a Homestar Runner movie, what would it be about? I was thinking it'd be like Strong Bad got another virus that couldn't be cured by a mere shotgun this time, but I thought that wouldn't be original enough for TBC. So, what do you think a Homestar movie could be about?

P.S. Sorry if I suck at starting threads. I'm not so great at forums.

I'm not sure the Homestar Runner characters could carry a plot and retain their usual humour for a full 70 minutes (the minimum amount of time needed for an animated film to be considered "feature length"). The only reason SBCG4AP works is because of the interactivity.

I could see sort of a "Pulp Fiction" thing were events happening to different individual characters are all sort of interwined.

I remember a few years ago I thought up a H*R movie about an alien invasion

I had a topic like this one, too:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15736

There's a lot of Homestar movie threads, and it confuses
me that no one merges them into one topic.

I have several ideas for a movie:

  • A Dangeresque movie
  • Actually do the Peasant's Quest movie (as per the trailer)
  • A Cheat Commandos movie

I can see both a Dangeresque movie and a Peasant's Quest film, but I don't think that there would be enough material for a Cheat Commandos movie. You came up with great ideas, though!

In order to be long enough to be a movie, it would probably be a holiday special, covering halloween, decemberween, & christmas....or maybe just Decemberween.

Personally, I'd like more focus on Homestar for once.

We could do "A Decemberween Carol". Like "A Christmas Carol", but with Homestar characters. That story has been done time and time again, so why not do it again? It's only fair.

That's a funny image. xD

More like "Bah crapbug!"

And also, the Ghosts of Decemberweens Present and Future could be played by the King of Town and the Poopsmith, respectively.

 Strong Sad would have to be the Ghost of Decemberween Past.
Not just because of his personality, but also because Strong Bad has already referred to him as "The Ghost of Christmas Suck" anyway. :p

Since TBC always do something a little bizarre, I can see maybe adding a segment with Homsar as the Ghost of Decemberween "?!"

:homsar: "DaAaAaAa!! Don't look now! I'm a fast track to frippery!"

Why do anything original when the most popular & longest toons focus on the holidays? I'm thinking "A Year in Freecountry" or "Strong Bad & the Four Seasons" or "Hey, let's give Homestar back & let him be the star again."

This is one of the greatest ideas ever! I approve! I approve! (as long as it's not based on sbcg4ap.)

Strong Bad: Bigger, Badder, & Uncut.

Or they could give Homestar the limelight back & actually make the story revolve around him, like old times.

Hmm... I might have mentioned this already, but in case I haven't, I think they should really do actual movies of the "Dangeresque" series. I'm not talking about director's cuts or video games or whatever. I'm talking about actual movies!

And while they're at it, they can also do the actual Peasant's Quest movie and maybe even a Cheat Commandos movie. For some reason, in that case, I'm envisioning a plot where Blue Laser takes a page out of the book of Blue Meanies and tries to turn everything around them blue! And it's up to the Cheat Commandos, who may or may not be accompanied by the Topplegangers, to stop them!

I think the movie should just revolve around the normal characters.

Well, I don't know why, exactly, but for some reason, I'm envisioning at least one of Strong Bad's Cool Games being made into a movie, probably "Homestar Ruiner", "Strong Badia the Free" and/or "Baddest of the Bands", in no particular order.

I just don't think that sbcg4ap episodes would make a good movie.

Yeah, why would they make a movie based on a video games that most of the H*R fans have already played? If they did make a movie based on SBCG4AP, I wouldn't watch it because why would I want to see a movie based an a video game that I already played a bunch of times before? It would be boring reliving the same storyline and knowing excatly whats going to happen. If there was going to be a Homestar movie, I would want to be something completly different and have nothing to do with SBCG4AP. Maybe something to do with the government hacking the website or Strong Bad and Homestar being "two unlikely partners" and saving Free Country and the other Characters from aliens. Sumpthin like that.

Or Maybe Homestar And Homsar Are Nominated For A Reality TV Show Where They Switch Places For A Day. Here's An Exchange They Could Have...

HOMSAR: Homey-stayr, Do You Know Where The Next Race Is?

HOMESTAR: (Flatly) Daaaaaaa. I Just Bought Mayfair In Yahtzee.

I just have to say this. This was a good short, and I bet anyone would kill for that kind of skill. To call them on crack or anything else is a complete insult.

I agree with DorianGray. A movie would simply be too lengthy to remain funny the whole time. And while I applaud all the ideas here, most of them would be overkill, especially the ones that are based on the satirical toons, like Cheat Commandos.
