The forum has nothing but spam. Everyone has left. I guess this may be the end of the forum. Of course, some people check back once in a while, but we are getting too much spam to control. I know I can't do anything about it, so I guess I'll just have to sit back and watch the forum crumble to pieces.

You're obviously doing a GREAT job at it! Don't let the door hit ya... what a bad attitude to have. Like anyone is supposed to know that you're even here doing it when the forum's main page is full of spam all the time. Maybe you should, ya know, make your presence known more often.

Doesn't this forum require users to register, answer a CAPTCHA or something similar, and confirm their e-mail address before they can post? Normally, that is sufficient to keep out the spambots. Removing spam by hand is not efficient or effective.

We have all of the above, and our CAPTCHA system is pretty solid. Not sure why we get all this spam.

CAPTCHA for PHPBB has been broken for a while now.

Something that helped a forum I help moderate was moving to a challenge question based on forum content.

For the H*R wiki forum you could pose a challenge question that forces someone to look something up on the Wiki in order to join.
