Yeah, you try staying on task when you're staring the barrel of a loaded Thnikkaman. That was SO awesome. And it also lends itself to a new aspect of Bubs-as-Thnikkaman's personality - the more artistic side of Bubs. Perhaps Thnikkaman is Bub's stage name?

Can somebody make a .wav or .mp3 or something of the "bake us a cake" song? My soundcard is garbage and everything I record is full of crackling noises

If it has the Thikaman, it's gotta be good! I always wanted him to come back!

The Verdict:

9/10

Hehe, try recording the cake song and play it backwards, it sounds hillarious.

Yeah, it's kinda weird that she barely said anything in her greeting. It's like we barely hear her anymore. All that she seems to have now are short, one liners.

Well, she did leave an entire message for herself. Or rather, "Not-Marzipan" did. Or maybe Matt is getting really good at his Missy impression.

Wow, those tubes do work then....freaky.

I would like to have heard Marzi leave a longer message. Or at least just more of her.

My favorite MAM yet.

"You know good and well that I've dreamt of being in a Goatface Club ever since I was a moderately sized baby!"

That's just hilarious!

I just saw MAM 12.2. I have to say I wasn't as impressed as you guys. I think the goat face was funny because I'd always felt that if you said "Goat Face" you should have a goat for a face rather than a face like a goats. That's not what the phrase goat face implies! I also think it was funny how Homestar kept forgetting who he was and thinking his other names were someone else (Boyfriend Dan)

Although I liked the Thnikkaman coming back (I loved the Thnikkaman!) his song didn't have any rhythem. It took the old rhythem and messed it up so that I couldn't feel the beat. It wasn't as jam as the last one. I also didn't like Strong Bad's song because it didn't make a lot of sense. It's like those musicals where the cast suddenly bursts out singing and it's too awkward for the audience to accept that it's really happening because it just isn't believable.

All in all, I didn't laugh, but I still liked it a lot. I might have to watch it a few more times (I have a stirct minimum of 3 times before I hate it, because I didn't like 1936 the first two times and then I watched them again later and loved them.)

The best MAM ever: "I don't know where you get off, but it definatley isn't the Homestar Station anymore!!"

It sounds like Marzipan is getting sick of her answering machine.
I wonder if TBC will do voicemail somehow...if she got a cellphone maybe Strong Bad would actually think she's cool. He doesn't think Pom Pom is so bad, even if he did try to poke him with a pin.

I like most MAMs, and this one was all right, but I really don't like Marzipan, so if they stopped making these then it wouldn't bother me too much.

I like the drawings of a goatface though.

I just realized: we know finally know just what it is that the Thnikkaman does. He plays instruments, drums, cymbals, and drums.

This was indeed the best answering machine ever. I laughed out loud at the goat face thing, and Homestar's message too. I especially liked how Strong Bad gave up at the end of the prank call, and just said "It's Strong Bad. You're ugly."

And weclome to the forum, Jimmy, but your avatar and signature are way over our size limits.

Indeed, the best MAM so far!

The Strong Bad's beat reminded me one of the several jokes I did with my friends!

But, I think I still prefer one SBmail update instead of MAM!

I hadn't checked the homestar site yet (update Wednesday? not common!) and was flipping through this forum and saw the thread but didn't read. So I checked the machine.

Man that "You got a call from the thnikkaman!!" was hilarious. Great message from ol TH. I started noticing SB doing that "you said you'd bake us a cake!" into a rhythm and actually stated dancing to it right before the claps came in. Thought the goatface was somewhat funny then I read about the easter egg, and that goat coming out of the facec just crackeed me up. And then another step?!? The whole goat, not just the face but the head. An awesome answering machine overall ,although I still think #8 was a little better. Had wondered when the next answering machine was gonna cmoe.

I thought Bubs sounded a tiny bit different, but not the rest.

I thought it was excellent! I loved how Strong Bad left a prank call to say in a metaphorical way that Marzipan was ugly ("goat face"), but then gave up and just called her ugly. And then when Marzipan left herself a prank call so she woulnd't have her feelings hurt... Thnikkaman, was okay, Strong Bad imitating "all her friends" was funny, and Homestar was hilarious as usual.

Giving each message a point value of 2, I would give this answering machine a 9/10 (minus one point for the Thnikkaman message).

And I agree, the voices did sound a bit different.

Wow. That might be my favorite answering machine ever. It was great to hear from the Thnnikaman again, and I loved the Goatface easter egg. Homestar's message was definetely hilarious. I give it a 10/10, meaning it's worthy of a Homeschool Winner emoticon.

10/10

"All you got to is shimmy-shake a little bit to the left, and if time permits, shimmy-shake a little bit to the right" is the BEST. LINE. ON H*R. EVER.

I think like... a 4 minute long trance/dance remix of "You Said You'd Bake Us Cake - All Of You Friends" would be awesome.

Yeah, I had a feeling Marzipan was no blonde. :)

What a great answering machine!! I loved every message, especially the Thnikkaman calling and Strong Bad as all of Marzipan's friends.

Actually, I thought that because she was leaving herself a prank call, that meant that she actually WAS a real blonde, and it was a joke that she wasn't.
