Well, I got my first quarter report card and...

Straight A's!

Mathematics: A+
Language Arts: A+
Science: A
History: A
P. E.: A-
Fine Arts: A+

GPA: 4.1 (High honor roll!)

How'd you guys do? (Yes, I know most schools are split into trimesters, but whenever you get your grades, post 'em here!)

Fine Arts? Like, do they teach you to drink champagne and eat caviar?

Man, you stink. My grades are less good. Much less good.

I just got a progress report today. It's like a report card but you can raise the grades before the next report card.

Science: B+
Algebra: B
English: B
Spanish: B-
US History: B+
Gym: A+
Band: A+

B's make me sad.

I guess I'm just average.

People like you need to have something very bad happen to them. Something very, very bad.

No, you're better than average! :mrgreen:

Barely better than average is better than average.

I remember those days, of report cards an whatnot.

I used to hate those things, mainly because if I didn't get straight A's (an A- was treated the same as an F), I would get yelled at for 3 hours about how embarassed my parents were and how they were the laughing stocks of the bank (where most of the employee's kids would do well to bring home a D) and pretty much lose any privaliges I had til the next all A report card I got. I wasn't allowed to even look at a TV for an entire summer once because I got a B+ on an otherwise spotless report card at the end of the year. I had an A for the year, but, that one period, I had a B+, and that wasn't good enough.

Any questions about why I tried to quit school (actually, there's more to it than that, if you can believe it)?

I didn't get my report card yet, but my averages are usually all in the high 90's.

Well, we get number grades. I'm in all the advanced courses in my grade, and in my school the advanced courses get 5% added on to the grade you actually achieve, and the AP courses get 8% added. So if you got a 100% overall in advanced English, you'd get a 105% on the report card. I'm in AP Chemistry, the only AP course available to 11th graders, so I'll also be getting the 8%.

I get my report card tomorrow. Normally my average is around a 99.4%, but we'll see. I'm a bit worried about calculus. I did pretty mediocrely in there this quarter. Mostly B's on tests, though I did get one 97. And I think class participation and homework both count as test grades too. I dunno. We'll see.

Oh, no. Don't get me wrong.

I've gotten my share of C's and stuff too. It's just that compared to people like Bugkiss, my B's make me sad.

From what I've heard, we're onyl getting our progtress reports if we have a 75 or below, which seems dumb to me. But I checked my math score a few weeks ago (he let us check them) and it was at 99 then. In Computers I'm at 96 I think (I can check that grade online. Figures)

A C in this school is supposed to be like an A in another school (It's a charter school, and they tryign to challenge us) so I'm doing great! :mrgreen:

For now...

Ouch, pwnage to me. Here's mine:

Art: B+
Health & PE 7: A
US History 7 GT Honors: B+
Mathematics 7 Honors: A
Technology: A
Investors Environmental Science GT Honors: A
English 7 GT Honors: B+

Scale:
A = 100-94
B+ = 93-89
B = 88-84
C+ = 83-79
C = 78-74
D+ = 73-69
D = 68-64
F = 63- lower

(Investors is just my 7th grade team name.)

For some reason, I think this thread would hurt a few peoples' feelings. I doubt it really would, but something just doesn't seem right about it.

It might, but, then again, if you don't want your feelings hurt, maybe you should stay away from the internet.

My exam scores this semester
ATS670- Satellite Remote Sensing : A (95%, I high marked the class by 6%!)
ATS501- Atmospheric Science Survey A (91%)
ATS509- Computers in Meteorology: A(91%), A(96%)

In 509, I have an A, as I have 100% on the homeworks
In 670, I HAD an 89.5 (A) until this last homework.. He may drop it, though, then I'll still have an A.
In 501, I have no real clue how I'm doing on the homeworks. I'm guessing I have a B+ in there right now. meh.

Not bad for someone that some of the other students (mostly students I outscored on that 670 exam) were giving a week before I folded and went home.

Report cards tomorrow night. As far as I know my grades are:
English: 83
Algebra: 96
Testing strategies: 100
Bio: 87
Civics: 93
Still no Spanish grade, I'm kinda concerned about that...one guy in my class went up to get his grade, it was a 61, he pulled out his tests and re-averaged them and went up to an 83...band i'm not worried, I always get in the 90s somewhere.

Well, my math and information tech teachers decided to show us what would be on our first-term report cards by giving us comprehensive assignment-by-assignment progress reports, as the cards were to be distributed within such a time that made it unlikely the marks would change much between the time we got the reports and the report cards.

Anyway, for those two (as in my other two subjects, P.E. and English, we did get progress reports, but only one so far, and that was a month ago-things will have changed in some direction...):

Mathematics (academy-level, the highest level of classes for math, English, geography and science: a step above academic, which is the highest level available to most students): 98%
Information tech (open course): 99%

Heck, I'll throw in what those other two were a month ago:

English (academy-level): 97%
Phys. ed (open course): 90%

To answer "Four courses? That's all?": we get the other four courses next semester. There's only one non-semestered school in the board, and I'm not attending it. =D

It's only first quarter. Usually by the end of the year it's dropped to:

Mathematics: Still A+
Language Arts: Still A+
Science: B-
History: B+
P.E. C-
Fine Arts: A (Our teacher grades us on whether we turn the projects in on time, not if it's well done, because we have several kids who need to use a laptop, like Teeg)

I haven't gotten my grades, mostly because I'm only halfway through the semester. We don't get report cards halfway through, we have to wait till the end on how well (or badly) we did. I'm guessing I'm at about a C+ to B- in English, around B+ to A in Geology, and about C in Logic.

Gymnastics - 6.0
Art - 9.0
Maths - 4.0
Chemistry - 3.7
Physics - 3.2
Applied Science - 9.5 (Yeah, I know that's weird)

And some other subject I forgot...

Yeah, you guys definitely go to schools much easier than mine. Because I don't think grades that good are possible in my school. Are you guys in high school? If not, then I'll feel a WHOLE lot better.

Some schools are big on this "effort" thing. I think I might be seeing something like that grade for my PE Grade.

Lunar's right. I'm not huge on effort in P.E., so by the end of the year it drops a bunch. And Asthma and JRA add to the difficulty of running a mile, doing 20 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 10 sit-ups. And so does my habit of eating almost nothing.

And then it pulls me out of honor roll. :-((

I always do really bad in PE, but it doesn't count on our averages.
