Well, I use the AIM service, but not the terrible client they made for Mac. I use iChat.

I use MSN the most, just because most of my friends have accounts on it. I like Yahoo better, though.

Joeyday has pointed me to a great program called "Trillian" that lets you be on all of the messengers mentioned and one more I think

IRC, maybe?

Proteus is another great program that does this, but it's for the Mac.

That's interesting, I don't know anyone that uses anything other than MSN. And that's why I only use MSN, cause that's what all my friends use.

I use AIM and MSN, but I know more people with AIM and use it more frequently because of it. So, I voted AIM.

I just realized I mis-voted, but whatever. I use Trillian and MSN simultaneously (Trillian supports MSN, but the specific MSN Messenger does a better job of being itself than Trillian does), mainly for the two people I know that use MSN. Mostly I end up using the AIM portion, although Y! once in a while is okay. I forgot my ICQ number years ago.

I don't use a messenger at all. I made a point to uninstall Windows Messenger because it allowed Microsoft to bombard my browser with pop-up ads.

I use AIM occasionally, and that's it. To be perfectly honest, I mainly talk to people through IRC (using mIRC), rendering even AIM almost completely worthless to me.

I also used to have an ICQ number, but I'll be darned if I can remember what it is. Not that I particularly want to remember anyway.

As someone above mentioned, I use Trillian, but I didn't mark "other" though, as Trillian doesn't really count as a messenger program. It's simply an interface that allows you to connect to the four messenger networks at the same time.

Of the four, I have more buddies that use MSN, and it's the one I prefer to use with buddies who use multiple IMs (some of whom also have Trillian).

The Windows Messenger Service that allows the pop-ups is completely seperate from both the MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger that comes built in with XP.

I've been using Trillian since Spring Semester 2000, but I do most of my IMing on MSN messenger.

I use Yahoo! Messenger. I like the features it provides. You can even go stealth on others.

I switched to ICQ, but the number business was too much
I Then Figured out AIM and began to use it again.

I'm not voting for anything, I wish I could, but... I use AIM and MSN Messenger equally 50-50. So I can't vote for one or the other. I use them both a lot, really, I do. But I think I use them equally, as I said. So I refrain from voting.

I don't have any Messenger. I also use Internet Explorer, prefer MS Paint to Photoshop, and think Windows 3.1 rocks. I am a bigger loser than you are. Ha ha!

I use MSN, because everyone I know uses it. Funny, all my friends IRL use MSN, but everyone I've met online uses AIM.

I'm a fan of open source software, so I use Gaim to connect to AIM, MSN, and ICQ.

I use this one too! It's so awesom, I've had every one of the messengers listed here, and trillian is by far way better.

Is that named after the character in the hitchhiker series?

Yahoo.

I found MSN was far too annoying with it's little quips like deleting your accound if you don't access it after a few days or something. Yahoo's much better because of the "I-won't-delete-you-even-if-you-ask-the-boxing-gloves-question."

I HATE MSN. but I use it because all of my friends do. It's pile of crap support for Mac makes me want to retch.
