Ok, guys, I think we have been getting a little off topic recently in the wii thread. The past 10 pages have been mostly about zelda games, and most of the zelda posts have little to do with wii. Let's bring the zelda discussion here.

That was perhaps the only useful one. I used it to get the instrument in one of the temples, but I accidentally forgot to get the hookshot, so it wasnt until 3 dungeons later that I realied I needed it.

I've never actually been able to use that glitch for myself, because the only version of Link's Awakening I have is the DX one, which is sans Select glitch. Darn. I really want to see some old lady-spitting Octoroks. XD

Sadly, the only Zelda game I have ever played is Wind Waker. And I didn't even finish it, I only rented it. I need to play some of these games. I'm missing out on a huge franchise.

Well, almost all of them are about Twilight Princess, which has everything to do with the Wii.

And for that people could use the topics over here:

a) How many of the three posts in this thread were about TP? That's right, none.

b) We need a LOZ thread, simply because LOZ is awesome.

c) TP is also a gamecube game, so it doesn't really belong in a thread about the wii.

And Exjon was saying that these posts should have gone in the TP thread. So I was telling him that he was wrong.

I haven't look at the Wii thread, because I don't have a Wii, but who else has played the original Legend of Zelda? I hate Wizzrobes and Darknuts in that game.

I never said that, I said that everyone was talking about TP there, where it's on-topic, so saying that's off-topic is incorrect.

...Mostlly out of anger that this is the 6th topic Bwave has made this week, and this is the only one that has some potential.

But the thread is about the Wii, not TP. TP <> Wii. They aren't the same thing.

But uh, this thread isn't about if the posts were on topic or not, so toastpaint.

Back to the topic of this thread, I think that LttP is the best Zelda game. The 3D ones just aren't as good as the 2D ones for me.

I started to play aLttP, but I got bored or something distraced me. Does it get better once you get out of the castle?

I'm a bad Zelda fan. ...LttP is my least favorite game in the series.

Heresy!

Kidding, but LttP is awesome. Yeah, you just gotta get out of the castle for the plot to start moving. There's just so much to do in that game. And when you think maybe you won, there's a whole other world with a lot more stuff in it.

EDIT: the inquisition comes for you next CT :p

It inexpensive because stainless steel doesnt mean much to sword entusiasts. It doesnt seem as though the seller has given any false info, though. They have good feedback.

I don't like top-down Zelda games too much. I've played partly through the original Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past, as well as beaten Minish Cap... but I dunno, they just aren't outstanding to me.

I prefer Wind Waker much better. That was a game I enjoyed. And as I missed out on owning a Nintendo 64, the only 3D Zelda game I've played.

However as soon as I get my hands on a Wii I plan on buying Twilight Princess, and maybe Ocarina of Time when it comes out on the virtual console.

I enjoyed Wind Waker, too. I barrowed it from a friend, i loved it so much, i bought the strategy guide and beat it 100%.

Well I got 100% (or at least very close to it) without any strategy guide madness. Got a perfect Nintendo gallery, too, including Knuckles (who requires the Tingle Tuner).

Well, if you have a GameCube, you can play both Ocarina AND Majora's MAsk on it. You just need the Zelda Collector's Edition disc, although it IS hard to find somewhat.

I just played OoT for the first time in my life today. It looked like a great game. I am going to have to borrow it from my friend one day, so that I can play it, and beat it, or something like that.

It is a great game. And the title screen music is beautiful.

Yeah I noticed that. Unfortunately, I didn't get the gaming experience I would have liked, because the controller was all old, and the stick was so limp that it was impossible to run with Link. All I could do was walk, and that's really, really slow moving.

It really depends where you live. I see one or two of them pass through my local gamestop every week, and they go for about $30-40, depending on the week. They are still in high demand.

I got mine by subscribing to nintendo power. The only disc harder to find than the collector's edition disc is the master quest disc. I saw one at gamestop about a month ago, but it was $40 at the time, and I was christmas shopping for my girlfriend, so I didnt want to buy it at that time. I havent seen it since.

The disc is definitely worth $20. On virtual console, you would probably pay about $25-35 for the included games. Also, collectors edition has a WW demo, and some cool trailers.

Weird, now that we have thread for Zelda, the Wii thread died.

I used to have LoZ:CE. It came with my Gamecube and was my first experience with Zelda.
