Despite the baby break that is all up on us, there's a new little blurb on the site...

http://www.videlectrix.com/ has a new game up. Yaaaayyy. I guess they had this lying around or something and decided to finish it?

I like that the title screen appears to be in another language XD Me? I am just having more fun going around and randomly shooting people than actually playing.

I all ready beat it... in 200 seconds. The goal is to shoot the guy who stole the egg, to find out who did it "question" other people by clicking the icons at the bottom of the screen. For example, I asked the jogger where the egg was, he showed me the icon of a old man, I searched the town for the old man, when I found him I asked where the egg was, he showed me the wrench icon. So then I looked around for a guy with a wrench, when I asked him about the egg he showed me a old lady icon. So I went and asked her about thee egg she said ? so I gunned her down. She did NOT have the egg. So I went back to the guy with the wrench and shot him, he did have the egg.

Who has the egg changes every time, so don't worrry, I didn't just ruin it for you.

If you win, You get a police badge and there are fireworks.

I got it the first time.

EDIT: 961 seconds left is my new record.

And I believe that language is Russian.

The game is too simple.

Just go around asking about the egg. Some are lying, some aren't. Find out two who have the same answer and shoot the person they accuse.

I just go around and if I get led back somewhere I shoot. Simple.

Haha, wow, this game is hilarious. I don't know how many times I've tried to decipher some old foreign game.

Also, I loled at the sputnik in the ending sequence.

I loved this game! My favorite part was actually the music. Very retro analog synth stuff, like a Moog synthesizer.

After playing a couple times, I figured out it was the butcher.

Graphics are cute and pixel-y, very fun.

I give this game an A-. Hard to figure out at the beginning, yet it's really fun at the same time.

Seems like everyone's getting different results. Maybe they planned that on purpose...

There's always such a sense of accomplishment when you figure out a game you don't know the rules to. It's like you get to beat it twice: when you figure it out and when you win. Funtimes.

I didn't even know what I was doing... I accidentally shot the first person I talked to in the first 10 seconds I played the game... and there was the egg. I was like, wait... did I just beat it? Yup.

So much for trying to solve it.

Um, yes. It's completely random. Like Clue.

through a bug I found, I managed to win in literally 0 seconds. the timer still displayed 000. I can prove this through screenshots if you want. but it goes to 999 when the end screen starts. what ya gotta do is put yer cursor in the upper left corner, start the game, and click like mad. it'll bring you to the aquarium since that's where the aquarium icon is, you'll hit the shoot button like 200 times, then the game'll be all 'wtf?' and then be like 'heres the damn egg. stop clicking me.'

funnily enough, both times this happened it was kid speedy that I shot. I know it's a glitch because when it fails to work, the timer goes down 2 seconds; when it does work, the timer freezes completely and lists 999 on the end scene, unlike the 000 listed when you shoot the guy with the egg.

edit: ...for some reason the glitch doesn't work anymores. Oo;
edit 2: wait, nevermind, there it goes. seems like it happens at random. and this time it was the mechanic.

I love this game. I always beat it in 20 seconds or less, but I always come back for more!
My trick is: go to a random area (for example, the aquarium), then leave and question another suspect about the person you just saw at the aquarium. If the suspect gives a correct description (either where the person is or what item they have), ask them about the egg; if the suspect lies, ask someone else. There is always one truthful suspect who knows where the egg is.

That was really fun, but I think most of the fun was in figuring out how the heck to play the game. The first time it took me like 200 seconds to figure out what to do and beat it, but now that I know you can do it in 2 seconds if you get lucky, I'm not very motivated to beat my record...

Without much need for luck, I discovered a simple fool-proof trick to beat it in average 25-30 seconds. Surprised nobody else mentioned it yet.

I found a similar technique as SamFisher's, although his is a bit better.

Took me three tries to figure out the game, but after the third one, 25 seconds was easy.

By the way that's Russian because I can read Russian; recognizing it right away. (And the Wiki says so )

I got the 000 glitch too. I think you mean upper left corner; I clicked it like mad and got exactly the same as you got.

Figuring out that game was half the fun of playing it.
