Last year's thread.

Well folks, in order to celebrate the holiday awesomeness, I have decided to go to great lengths (about five seconds of thinking and a minute conversation with BTG) to bring this topic back for the 2007 holiday season. If you weren't here last year, here is the most awesome description you'll ever need for this:

1) You sign up in this thread.

2) I add you to THE LIST! *thunder*

3) When THE LIST is full (see below) or about a week before the holiday, I'll PM each of you with a randomly selected user to give a gift to from THE LIST. KEEP THIS USER A SECRET UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THE GIFT!!!

4) Make a gift for the user. It can be as simple as an MS Paint drawing or e-Card, or as complex as a Viper RT10 mailed to their doorstep. However, it's suggested that you send something online, because it's so much easier and it's free. In fact, DS_Kid approves e-Gifts.

5) Around December 24/25th, you PM the user with your gift. Now you get to wait for your gift! :D

6) Once your gift is received, feel free to post it in this thread. Give the user that gave you a gift a bear hug while you're at it.

Like I mentioned earlier, I'll give you all maybe a week to get your gifts ready and such. That should be plenty of time to get something pretty cool made while dealing with real-life stuffs.

[s]THE LIST of users who have signed up are shown below. I'll accept 25 30 40 people. If this seems to get even more popular, I'll up the number of people.[/s] Sign-ups complete; thanks for playing The Game.

Users in black have not yet received their gifts; users in red have received and posted about their gifts.

2) iKipapa
3) AbuGrape45 - Image of Jerry Seinfeld giving a gift.

Of course I am in. The only reason I am not doing this is because it would be impossible to balance this with the Forum Awards.

Wait a minute, I just read the instructions...

Shouldn't there be something in there about it actually BEING SECRET?

What's not secret about it? It's all done in PMs.

Yes, but you're gonna know who the PM is from. Shouldn't the whole idea of a Secret Santa be that you DON'T know who the gift is from?

According to last year's setup, no. I'm just going off of what was done then.

If you really wanted it to be secret in the extreme, I guess you would have to PM Disk with the gift and he can be the go-between.

The way Secret Santa works is that you don't know who you are getting the gift from until you get it.

Good idea. Maybe this could be what is done. And then... there would have to be some... secret-revealing... ceremony... thing?

huh.
