Magical Mystery Tour (I love physecdelia) and The Beatles (The kind of "dark" feeling that resonates from it is so mind-blowing) are my personal faves. tho I don't care much for Yellow Submarine.

I don't much care for how you arranged this poll, since you put my favorite Beatles album (White Album) in with an album I don't particularly care for (Magical Mystery Tour) and one that I haven't bothered to listen to yet (Yellow Submarine). This sounds more like "What was your favorite Beatles era" as opposed to favorite album. (and if it was era, it'd have to be around Rubber Soul/Revolver/Sgt. Pepper as they were all exceptionally good albums right in a row, though White Album/Abbey Road are both great, and even Let It Be has its charms. Not very much smitten with early Beatles, though.)

Sorry about the arrangement I didn't think that the poll would hold that many results if I had each one as an option.
P.S. The white album is the best selling album of the 60's

I'm not too sure about that. I was pretty sure that Abbey road was the Beatles best selling album, but I could be wrong. BTW, have you picked up that new Beatles book out there? It's called "Beatles: 10 Years that Shook The World" or something like that, it's a good read.

I had to pick I don't know because I just don't know. I picked up a copy of the Beatles 1 album, that has all their #1 hits on it, and I like it a lot. But I haven't listened to any of the original albums.

My dad recently showed my his so-called "secret stash" of vinyls which included a box set called "The Beatles Comple 1960-1970". It included all LPs they made in the Uk (So no Magical Mystery Tour - crap!) along with a bunch of specially made stuff just for that collection. It even had the Meat is Murder picture, which can fetch upwards of $1000! It was so awesome, it was almost too awesome for me to comprehend.

The "Meat is murder" you described is better known as the butcher cover. it was intended for the album Yesterday... And today.

A pic for those "not in the know". This cover would probably fetch for a considerable sum on eBay.

The Beatles are one of those bands where I honestly can't pick out just one album as a definite all-time favorite. I kind of have rotating favorites, which sometimes even includes side one of Yellow Submarine (the orchestral stuff on side two only interests me if I'm watching the movie).

Picking one for the poll above, I went with Abbey Road which is the one I've been playing the most often lately. Among all of the great songs on that album, I always have a soft spot for the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End medley. If there are any "older" folks reading this who lived in the Los Angeles area in the 1970's or 1980's, that was the last song ever played on KMET (the Mighty Met...WHOO-YA!) before going off the air to make way for a new format of what I call "bubble music" (nothing but John Tesh, Kenny G, and their evil clones).

Here's a new question: Who is your Favorite Beatle?
Mine would have to be John Lennon (may he rest in peace)

George, stayed out of the picture and had an aura of coolness that just eminated from him.

I don't know who my favorite Beatle was, but I can say, just strictly based on personality, I never much cared for Paul, especially nowadays.

I wish he sang a bit more, but Hey Jude was awesome.
Songs I would've liked him to perform:
*Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
*A Day in the Life (Loooooong shot)
*All you Need is Love
*Can't Buy me Love

Otherwise, a job well done.

Did you see the CD or the vinyl? The vinyl isn't exactly rare but an acutal poster of the meat is murder thing (don't know how many were made to promote the album) are pretty rare.
