Time? When I first came to the site when it was released to the public, my favorite character was Homestar, because he always managed to do something hilarious. However, when "some kinda robot" debuted, the site changed forever and Homestar was pushed back to co-stardom. It's HOMESTARRUNNER.com, not strongbad.com, or strongbademail.com, or even thecheat.com. And when Homestar was pushed back, so was Pom Pom. Poor, poor Pom Pom.

I do agree that we could see some more Homestar, but in TBC's defense, Homestar doesn't even know the name of his own website. "It's dot com!"

I think that the latest d-ween toon was an attempt to get Homestar back into the lime light. It's true that Strong Bad has taken over the site, but the way TBC probably view it, if everyone goes to see Strong Bad e-mail, then they should focus on it.

I really, truly believe they should abandon strong Bad Emails.

(Waits for the inevitable haspings, gapings, and pukings to cease)

Yes, I'm serious! Strong Bad Emails are, yes, what keep many of their fans coming. yes, because this is their business, they need people coming. But, personally, I think if they abandoned the SB email concept, well... the site would be a better place overall. The other sections of the site would be able to evolve into more than mere subsections, simply their as backup in case you decided not to watch the SB email. This would also, eventually, lead to the evolving of more characters- We would get to know Pom-Pom, The King of Town, The Poopsmith, and other "neglected" characters much more. Sure this would lsow down their web traffic in the beginning (although I'm sure most of the wikians would stay true to the site no matter what), but eventually, the site would become a better place, and it would end up drawin MORE traffic and more business for TBC. Besides, during the downtime where traffic was low, we Wikians could form some cult where we raise money for donations or sumtin.

There, I've said what I've wanted to say since Lunch Special (which was only released 3 or 4 weeks after I became a fan)- SB e-mails hafta go!

It would be too hard for them to come up with a plot for a toon every week. When they read an email to Strong Bad they usually already know how to direct the toon. They were talking about doing something like that weekly with Homestar, so who knows? Maybe once the Lappy blows up then Strong Bad will quit with emails. TBC will probably want to get more done, though, for more DVD sales. They made a lot of money with the first DVD.

Although I agree that the e-mails are getting out of hand, they def should NOT get rid of it. With the e-mails we can learn more about the characters. Why, Homsar was create in an e-mail! If you don't know what e-mail that is, then that scares me TBC can tone back on the e-mails, doing one every other week maybe, but they should keep them.

I suppose that that maybe I went a tad extreme- but still, I don't think they should keep on going once a week with them- heck, maybe NOT EVEN once a month! I mean, I remember not too long ago when we got so many calssics all in a row: "Cheat Commandos", "Senor Mortgage", "The Cheatar", "Cheat Commandos-O's", "Puppet Jam"- if we had a short every week, I think Homestar could really be a better place. And there'd be aroom for a Strong Bad email every 5 weeks or so...

So true, Homestar's stupidity is hilarious. I'd like to see more of him. ALOT more of him. Though he is great, I'm a little tired of S.B.

I agree, actually. Well, maybe they should do one once a month or something. But because they have to do an e-mail every week, it takes away from the rest of the site, and the other characters.

I'd agree also, if Strong Bad Emails continued happening like they did with "some kinda robot" or "tape-leg", but fortunately, now they're featuring other characters.

If Homestar Runner (or any other character) weren't in Strong Bad Emails, then I'd like to see the emails taken off.

I don't really care who's in the e-mails or toons as long as their funny. Oh no! Homestar only has like 2 lines in the entire e-mail! It sucxchs!!!!11! Calm down, people. Firebird is right, SBemails are actually the biggest contributors to the site and have helped flesh out the characters more than any other thing on the site (save for maybe marzipan's answering machine). I agree that the brother's chaps should focus a wee bit more on other things like shorts and toons, lest us not forget how great the recent emails have been. I'll say it again: as long as their funny, I don't care who's in it.

I completely agree--Strong Bad Emails are the most popular things on the site, and I am going to guess that they will be until they stop making the emails entirely.

My point is that after 122 emails, I am sick of seeing SB so much.

Now that's not nice. What if I said that after 70 posts, I'm sick of seeing Pikachu Almighty too much? It hurts.

On a more serious note, Strong Bad is popular and super-cool. Homestar Runner makes plenty of appearances. Look at most toons. When Strong Bad started answering emails, it was a hit, and TBC decided to stick with it. It must be working, thought TBC, as Strong Bad recieved one jillion emails. Strong Bad emails are still a hit! If you don't like what they're doing, then leave. TBC have that "If you don't like what we're doing, then leave!" sorta attitude. Come on, their last toon was mostly Homestar and people are still complaining. There is no pleasing some. If there was as much Homestar as there is Strong Bad, then it wouldn't be the same with random appearances, and Homestar can't even make a sentence. Every line with that guy is a joke. It would be no fun if he was trying to seriously do something. So now everyone hates Strong Bad. You must like Strong Bad. He's funny, etc. If I continued then you would probably already know what I would say. Just basically repeating myself with different sentences. I....I need a glass of water because like Strong Bad, I talk as I type.

I really don't see the difference whether it's homestar being funny or strongbad being funny. Strong bad really hasn't exactly "taken over" the site, I mean homestar clearly is the main focus in the majority of toons. SB is the starring role in 2, maybe 3 toons and a couple other shorts. Mostly everthing else is homestar as the lead. Funny is funny, it's that simple. I could understand if Strong Bad was as funny as like a bad episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 but this is clearly not the case. It boggles the mind how you can ignore SB's humor just because "it doesn't have enough homestar". That's just being overly stubborn and narrow-minded, imho.

I like all of the characters. TBC will make it funny, don't worry about that. Just watch their toons. Quit complaining.

Exactly exactly. If The King of Town is funny, I'm going to laugh. If Strong Bad is, I'm gonna' laugh. If Homestar's funny, I'm going to laugh.

Besides. TBC can't make toons every week. To much thought process in that. With e-mails, the story can unfold. And who better to do an e-mail than Strong Bad? Homestar would be horribly unfunny answering e-mails every week (think how old that would get). As well as any other character, save Strong Bad. Strong Bad never really gets old. Each character is funny in their own way, so different ones are thrown in the e-mails to make them funnier. Strong Bad all by his lonesome would be boring. Homestar all by his lonesome would be boring. But with a variety of them, they make it funny.

Yay rambling!

What I think/ hope will happen is that they (TBC) will make a new SB e-mail once every other week, so they can focus more on shorts and other toons. I mean, besides the holiday toons, it's been a while.

I think the site is fine as it is. I agree with Firebird and ol' Watered Down, TBC makes all the toons funny regardless of who's in them. If any other character had a weekly feature instead of SB, you'd be complaining about seeing too much of them.

I bolded the toons that are based off of emails.

TBC get ideas for Strong Bad Email from the people who send them in. So many people go to H*R.com just for SB Email, but I think that it should be done every fortnight. In between should be some sort of thing that Homestar replys to, that viewers send in. Sort of like having Homestar Emails, but a more original idea.

Sorry, Rainer, but I've got to agree with Fire Bird on that one. Homestar rarely acknowledges the audience, and I feel that a big part of his character is his clueless..ness? clueless..osity? Anyway, I think it'd be a bad idea (jumping the shark, if you will) if Homestar started replying to viewer stuff. Remember "replacement", where all he could say about names, cities, etc. was "crapface"? That'd get old pretty quick, I think.

Hey, I never said I don't like Strong Bad's humor. I'd just like more things than a SBemail every week. Marzipan's Answering Machine may be the funniest part of the site, and deserves more episodes. Plus, they're the easiest to animate. I mean, all they have to do is make blinking numbers and text, and possibly a walking character now and then. Homestar's...uh...Homestarings, Strong Bad's prank calls, Coach Z's innapropriate messages, and some other stuff all have a home in MAM. While the SBEmails only house half the humor you'd find in a MAM. In closing, I should learn to be more clear in my messages(and not to ramble. You know, I saw a microphone the other day..oh crap.)

Maybe they could have Strong Bad one week and something else the next? That would make everyone happy!

I would like to see more of every charachter exept for SB, who has enough screentime already.

And I would like the SBemails should be done monthly, giving cartoons like cheat commandos a chance.

Meh, I think Homestar works best as a co-star. I mean, he really needs someone to react to, and Strong Bad (a great character in his own right) provides that someone very well.

P.S. :homsar: :trogdor: :ehsteve:
